  1. Hi, Can anyone tell me where this wire has detached itself from please? This is the control cavity of my Hohner Jack Bass and has stopped working when switched to active.- although the LED still lights up & still works in passive mode. All help gratefully received - thank you 👍

  5. Nice little well sorted Shorty with a low playable action and no sharp frets - so ideal for a learner or someone with small hands, or as a back up bass & is also perfect for 'sofa noodling' too. Good quality components and nicely put together, plus the neck is a pleasure to play & feels very Fender - esque. Sound is great with powerful pickups plus a very good tonal range & a nice set up - in fact the only downside is that it does suffer somewhat from the obligatory neck dive, but should be OK on a decent width none slip strap and of course it’s fine on yer knee. The only damage I can see is on the underside of the body at the rear, which can't be seen from the front - please see pics. I can post to the UK Mainland at a cost price to the buyer of £9.35 for next day delivery. Thank you for looking. Specs. Standard series Body: Poplar Bolt-on neck: Maple Fretboard: Purple Heart / Amaranth Fretboard inlays: Dots Neck profile: Modern C 19 Frets Scale: 762 mm Nut width: 42 mm Double-Action truss rod Pickup: 1 PB-Style split coil 1 Volume control and 1 tone control Chrome hardware Classic PB-style machine heads Ex-factory stringing: .040 - .095 Colour: Black high gloss
  6. What a fabulous P Bass. The AVRI’s are amongst the very best instruments Fender ever produced due to the build quality and sound which are second to none in my humble opinion. I have the ‘62 AVRI, which is one of the very best Basses I’ve owned, or even played over the past half Century & if this were a Rosewood fingerboard I would be all over it like the proverbial, especially at that weight😳 GLWTS, but you shouldn’t really need it for such a superb example👍

  8. I’ve had a few of these over the years both Fretted and Fretless. They are excellent instruments and are so easy to achieve a nice low action on. GLWTS👍👍
  9. Jez sold me his Shorty - it arrived incredibly quickly in time for Xmas & packaged really well👍 Communication was second to none and I would recommend him to all who sail the good ship Basschat without reservation👍 Thanks Jez, it was a pleasure dealing with you👍👍

  12. Great Christmas present for your budding Bass player, or to yourself of course. This is the Flat Walnut finish, which is the only version that has the cool black hardware. Lightweight at a tad under 3kg, or a shade over 6.5 lbs in ‘old money’ - so makes a great Travel, or noodling on the settee Bass. Low action all the way up the neck, no sharp frets and plays really well. Powerful pickups and VVT layout. Nice newish Flat wounds fitted and original Ibanez round wound strings included + Gig Bag. Can post via Parcelforce 24 hour, fully insured for £15 to the U.K. Mainland only - sorry.

  16. Hi Martin, Thank you for your interest. Although l think they both have the same power amp, the 802 has a slightly lager enclosure & Bass port plus larger speakers so moves more air. Although the 602 is great for home, studio, acoustic or small Jazz gigs, comparing the two - I would feel happier using the 802 for small Pub Gigs as it seems to have a bit more headroom than the 602 has. Hard to tell a great difference in tone between the two apart from the 802 produces more bottom end than the 602, which is probably down to the physics of a larger enclosure and larger speakers. The newer MB 8” Neodymium speakers in the 802 arguably appear to be a tad stiffer / more ‘rugged’ than the B&C speakers in the 602, which arguably gives a bit more cut through in the mix - in my humble opinion of course. No problem posting to the Sunny Isle of White👍 All the best, Tim
