1. I sent Steve an email asking for his Paypal details, offering the asking price + postage as requested in an email I received from Steve, which also asked me to say if I didn't want it - as he would then 'move forward in order of enquiry'?? The next email I received from him said that someone had 'got in first'????? My offer is still open & I am ready to send him the asking price + postage - as I was six days ago! Sorry Nik, but given these facts - it is only natural that people will suspect a bit of gazumping had occured!
Hi Folks, As promised, here's the lowdown from Steve: "Nick, The price for the bass is still £400 plus postage and if there wasn't so many people commiting to buy then not following through it would be sorted by now. Cheers....Steve" Nik
2. You've noticed?????!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like there's a bit of gazumping going on with this bass.
3. Wow, Wow & thrice Wow!! I had one of these in the two - tone burst - (albeit with a rosewood board & a torty pickguard) far nicer & more 'vintage' than the three tone - imho. Have a bump for a lovely Bass - these US jobbies are the 'real deal' & I wish I still had mine - bloody GAS!!
BUMP with pics!
4. PM'd
Yup, looks like a bargin to me!!
5. PM'd
Price drop to £85 - I must be mad...
7. Hi Guys, I have for sale the following; Markbass F1 500w - the smallest, loudest amp ever!! - just back from Markbass in Italy after full service & ungigged since This amp is awesome - but way too loud for home use only & the odd 'pie in the sky' Gig! Would prefer collection - I'm 5 minutes from Junction 15 of the M6 - but could send via Royal Mail 'next day' Special Delivery, fully insured for £21.65? All the best, Tim

 10. Hi Guys, Don't suppose anyone has an Ashdown Mini 1 x 15 Classic Neo 300w 8ohm Cab they would like to swap for my Ashdown 2 x 10 ABM 500w 8ohm Cab with Ashdown fitted Neo drivers?? Cheers, Tim
 11. Hi Oggy, 'Respect'! - I had a late 60's metalic blue Mustang - with 'go faster stripe'! & sold it for 'thruppence' back in the 70's - double bugger!! The action on this Precision is low & a dream to play. The 'only' reason I'm having to part with it is to pay for my amp repair!! Thanks for the comments All the best, Tim. ps - if you are not a scrillion miles away, you are more than welcome to have a try with no obligation of course?
Great looking bit of kit Tim. Just got my re-furb Mustang back this last weekend, pic's coming on the Porn Section, I'm getting GAS for this though - a Precision that wouldn't swamp me - Oh yes. Good luck with the sale. Oggy
12. Monday Bumpity-Bump !
Bugger.
13. Hi Guys, Here is my 3/4 size? - Shortscale? - 30" Richwood Precision in near mint condition - with a lovely Sunburst finish, a faux Tortoiseshell Pickguard & lovely 'vintage' finished Maple neck with a nice rosewood fingerboard. The sound is a deep & full classic Precision tone - giving my PJ Bass a very serious run for it's money - but the range of tones are excellent & a nice slap sound can be achieved with a twist of the tone control. Would really suit an up & coming Jamerson Fan - however, even I can get around the fingerboard just as well - or should I say badly? - as my full size Bass with my old chubby fingers - so it would be great if space is limited. I have included a photo shown next to my full size Squire - which is NOT included in the sale, of course - to give some perspective. A firm £125.00 + postage please, or you could collect if you were ever passing J15 of the M6 - 5 minutes away? All the best, Tim ps - funds needed for amp repair !
 14. A 'back from Holiday & skint' - Bumpity - bump !
**Price drop to £75 - collected** Or swap for a small-ish 1 x 12, or 1 x 10, or WHY???
15. Hi Guys, Thanks for the tips & support - much appreciated! I'm sort of with LawrenceH on this one - I don't really care what the 'statistics' say, all I know is that 'none' of the numerous amps I've owned over the past 30+ years ever 'failed' & ALL of them had seen a scrillion times more action than the F1 has! Saving up for the repair now & in the mean time rescued my late 70's early 80's?? Roland Bass Cube from the loft to tide me over - used extensively for 15 to 20 years & then stored in the loft for the past 10 years & yes you've guessed it - it fired up 1st time & is singing like a bird released! The crazy thing is that through all the years of gigging - I never carried a spare head (phew)! & one obvious reason for buying an F1 was the portability & size of the unit - which becomes a bit of a nonesense -if I have to also carry a spare head?? Thanks again Guys, I'll keep you posted. All the best, Tim
 16. Thanks Guys, Much appreciated! as I've just said to Dave on my 'other thread@ - it's just a bit worrying that the only other two Guys I know who own Markbass amps - an LMK & an SA450 have both just sent them away for repair - gulp !! All the best, Tim
Again contact them directly and see what they say.
17. Thanks Dave, It's just a bit 'worrying' when the only two other Guys I know who own Markbass amps - an LMK & an SA450 have just both sent them away to be fixed!! Ah well - they say bad luck comes in three's !! All the best, Tim
 18. Hi Guys, I was just asking for help - that's all - no 'witchhunt' intended! - I'm just a bit miffed as this is by far the most expensive amp I've ever bought & my prevous Acoustic, Ampeg, Aguilar, Trace Elliot, Orange, umpteen Marshall - Super Bass '&' Super Lead, Hiwatt, Sunn, Randell, Roland etc, etc amps that I've owned over the past 30+ years, never let me down once - not even my trusty old Selmer Treble & Bass (with the 18" Goliath Cab of course - ooo me back)! The reason the post is on twice is because I originally put it in the wrong section, so did it again in which I thought was the right one & where I thought I might get some help. Thanks anyway !
As already explained, i was making a joke of the fact that the poster started two threads about the ONE amp. Hence the ;-) at the end of the first line. And as ive also written i have two MB heads that i love and wouldnt dream of getting rid of them (although i think i might sell one soon as i dont use it much). Its all in this thread above ;-)
19. Hi Guys, Anyone had any problems with their Markbass amps?? Mine has only had 'ultralight use' - but even so 'died' last night! - no sound at all - apart from a 'frying' sound from the speakers? In 30 + years this is the only amp out of literally dozens from a Selmer Treble & Bass, Marshall Super Bass & even Super Lead, Hiwatt, Acoustic, Ampeg, Sunn, through to Roland. Trace Elliot etc, etc that has ever let me down! One of the main reasons I bought which is supposedly a 'high end' amp was 'reliability'?? The people Markbass put me onto 'guesstimate' that there won't be much change out of £200! - which will make this a very expensive amp, if I get it fixed & dare to trust it again!! Any suggestions? - all donations gratefully received - would love to know if anyone else has had the same problem & how they resolved it??
 20. Thanks Guys, It's out of warranty - does anyone know any good, reliable, Tech Guys near Sunny Stoke on Trent??
If you bought it new a year ago it will still be covered under warrenty.
21. Hi Guys, Anyone had many problems with Markbass amps?? After spending an amount equal to the National Debt of a small Country last year on an F1 - because I wanted a 'well built' & 'reliable' amp - it has stopped working?? - all I'm getting from it is a 'frying' sound coming through the speakers - anyone have any ideas?? After owning every type of amp from a Selmer 'Treble & Bass' via umpteen Marshalls, Hiwatt, Sunn, Acoustic, Ampeg & Trace Elliot etc, etc THIS is the ONLY amp that has ever let me down during the past 30+years!! & is not what I would expect from a so called High end amplifier that has only ever had ultralight use!! The guy at Proel - who Markbass - told me to contact reckons there won't be much change from £200 inc. postage to get it fixed!! All ideas & info gratefully received !! OOPS - SORRY, COULD YOU PLEASE MOVE TO REPAIRS & TECHNICAL ISSUES???
 22. Weight of the 'possible' p/x - as best I can show it - yes I know I need some new bathroom scales !!
Pictures - re PM of 'possible' p/x - 'technophopia permitting' ??
:
 23. Pictures - re PM of 'possible' p/x - 'technophopia permitting' ??
I'll vouch for the awesomeness of this bass. It lived with me for a few months while I came to the slow realisation that I need 5 strings and no frets. Buy with confidence, people. This is a lot of bass for not much money, and John's one of the nicest guys alive.
24. **Price drop to £75 - collected** Or swap for a small-ish 1 x 12, or 1 x 10, or WHY???
