1. Hi, I've just measured it & to my very old eyes - 'in old money' - it looks like 17.5" High x 14" Wide x 17" Deep - approximately!
Fantastic bit of kit. I am a total convert to PJB stuff and am very relieved that an impedance mismatch prevents me from buying this to run with my 6B! As a matter of interest, what are the actual dimensions of this? I've read lots of varying figures and have always wondered which is correct! Cheers Gareth
2. Thanks for the kind comments - I thought I was literally playing through a Hi-Fi the first time I tried it & loud as heck!
love these amps, had a loan of one for a couple of gigs while my amp was out of action and was very impressed, kicked out an incredible amount of volume for its size + was tonally very pleasing also, pretty gutted I wont have dosh for another couple of weeks or would have taken it
3. Hi Guys, After much deliberation I've decided to let this beauty go ! It's a Phil Jones Suitcase 200w - (300w with any 8ohm extension cab) Combo that just oozes Class 'Hi-Fi' Bass sounds! Twin channels - which makes it ideal for using two different basses, such as a fretted & a fretless?? In virtually mint condition - complete with professional fitted dust cover. The Bass Centre's price for one of these babies is £859 - so grab a bargain at £500 + postage! or collect - I'm 5 minutes away from J15 of the M6? Message, PM me - or even text me on 07734 319983 if you require more info??
  4. OK it's my own fault for not actually 'trying' a fiver out before actually buying one - doh !! & only 'then' discovering I'll only ever be a four string chappy!! But I couldn't resist this baby & if anyone can come up with an easy way to convert it to a four string - avoiding the obvious 'hacksaw quips' - I'm all ears, as I can't imagine a better playing & sounding bass & I've certainly not played one during the last 35 + years! Looking for trades initially - Headless four string Status, etc or WHY?? - Or although it's a long shot - the same jobbie but with just four strings maybe?? It's a Status Graphite Active Energy Special Edition - from the Status Custom Shop & boy can you tell!! Graphite Bolt On Neck, Two Status Hyperactive Pickups, Volume, Pickup Blend & Treble Cut & Boost - as Vitali's Great Nephew says - 'simples'!! Comes complete with the original Hiscox Status Logo'd Flight Case & Status blurb. Condition is very good - with only minor signs of use & the all black hardware & high gloss polyester finish are stunning! Lighter than umpteen four strings I've owned & probably due to a combination of the body design, the Graphite Neck & tiny headstock - it hangeth like the preverbial dream! You are welcome to come & have a try of it - I'm 5 minutes away from J15 of the M6 - please excuse the cobbles ?? PM or text me with WHY? - Tim 07734 319983 - ta

    Peg

Nice job Pete, Thought I'd learned how to play this the other week - bugger! - I'd better revisit Fagens 'Mu major' honey pot!!! Remind me to play you 'my' version the next time I see you - it's a p***er !! ps - how come you are an 'hyper elite' member & I'm only a 'fully fledged' member? - is it 'cause you can play & I can't ?? Keep knocking out those fab bass lines Pete, all the best, Dodger x x
very nice
14. Weekend Bumpity - Bump !
Interested in Your F1 and Hartke 1X15 how much for the 1X15 ?
15. Hi, The dimensions are H = 585mm, W = 475mm D = 335mm The weight is 21kg
What are the dimensions and weight of this please?
16. Bump for by far the best cabs I've ever played through during the past 35+ years!! If there was half a chance of me gigging again & I had the dosh they would be mine! Chris is also a great Guy to deal with - punctual, business like & really 'knows his onions'! Not many cabs I'd recommend without hesitation as I would with these babies - clear as the preverbial bell & with both stacked together, all the bottom end you'll ever need. Good luck with the sale Chris, all the best, Tim
I got these in April this year, and while they are no doubt great cabs they are not for me. I have my eye on some other gear so am offering these for sale. I paid £560 for the pair Inc the covers so would accept this or near offers. Not taken any pics yet but will sort. Suffice to say that to my eyes they are in great condition-the covers have clearly done their job. Cabs are in Nottingham. Don't hesitate to ask questions.
17. Thanks Pete, I can't believe this baby's not gone yet - Tiny, light as a feather, Neo powered, built like the preverbial s**t house & it's brand spanking new!! There's a Guy who is interested who has the 4 x 8 - so it would make an 'uber - rig' like your Nearly Dan one. Thanks again Pete, all the best, Dodger ps - if you ever fancy a blast on me Phil Jones - let me know - Hi-Fi for Fat-Wires or what?? It even makes me sound a bit like Chuck Rainey - if of course you happen to be in the next town, up wind & with yer fingers in yer ears !!
Bump for me good mate Dodger.
18. Did I mention in passing I'd added pics??
Now with pics!
19. PM'd
Black carpet covered, excellent condition, I haven't even gigged it! Something else has caught my eye! Will take £250 and will post immediately!
20. That's great Guys, thankyou very much! All the best, Tim
I can also recommend the DiMarzio P/J set. I used these to upgrade my humble £99 Stagg fretless, mainly because the stock pickups had a very low output. The bass now has considerably more volume and a tone that rivals much more expensive basses. I fitted the pickups myself - instructions were included and it couldn't have been easier
21. Hi Guys, I have a Squier PJ which plays like a dream - but the pickups don't seem to be up to much! Would it be worth changing them & would the benefits justify the cost + angst of fitting them? Also what would you recommend? - I've noticed Kent Armstrong p/ups on that t'ebay at not too high a price - anyone used them? Thanks Guys, ALL help gratefully received. All the best, Tim ps - I like a nice clear old fashioned 'woody' sound - being old fashioned & very 'woody' myself - just like my bass 'playing' !!!
  22. Now with pics!
Brand new Ashdown Klystron Mini 1 x 15 350w Neo 8 ohm bass cab. 25. Just to really put 'things where they belong'?? - my original email asking how Steve wanted to be paid & requesting postage costs was sent on Monday 19th at 7.50am!! which if you do the maths, you'll find is a little bit before last 'Friday'????
You said you spoke to him on Friday "and agreed a deal". There are four people who spoke to him before Friday yet your post made it sound like a done deal, which of course is going to piss people off if they'd contacted the seller before you.
