I just got hold of an Ampeg PF-800 and paired with my SuperTwin sounds great! ...in fact I prefer it over the Aguilar TH500 I have been using for a while now.

Just one Comfort Strap, super quick/easy to adjust for each bass, and Schaller strap locks in all my basses...no need for any other strap

With the rock band we are recording demos constantly so I will also have a chance to record with them as well as play them live. I fell all the mentioned above, and the fact I spent hours a day playing bass, will give me the chance to really test the strings thoroughly and see how they respond on every situation.

Back on track: Fellow Baschatter [b]hiriam.k.hackenbacker [/b]has kindly PMd me with his views on the Bryan Beller model and I think I'm now more sold on it than I already was! It seems to tick many of the boxes for me: weight, narrow neck, tone..shame I can't try one before buying it Although it's a long journey from Brighton, I'll see if I can take a trip to Bass Direct and try the pink Modern 5 they have in stock.

Believe it or not guys, I already had GAS for a modern 5 in 2010 but a change on bands and not needing a 5 string meant I didn't order it. Now the Bryan Beller comes in a naroower neck and that for me is a big bonus too....I think the Lull is meant to be my new bass. So many years later and STIL, on my mind, that's never happened before with any bass! As for other brands, I have tried many and basses have come and go...I'm sure there are other great basses out there but they do not attract me as much as this one does. Yes, I have been in touch with Mark and I have just emailed Mike Lull too, no one better than him to offer advice on his instruments What two do you own? If you don't mind me asking. I'm also interested in hearing from fellow Baschatters about these instruments. Not sure if anyone in here owns, or has played a modern 5 or Bryan Beller, if so I'd like to hear peoples opinions and experiences. By reading Lull's website, I have the feeling the MV and Modern series, might be quite similar sounding, and the differences will be down mainly to the look of the instrument. If someone, has played both models, is this the case?

I have been looking at Mike Lull basses for a while now and I like them a lot! For now I'm mainly interested on the Modern 5 and the Bryan Beller signature, I really love the tones he gets from his Modern 5....jazz tone but a bit more aggressive to my ears. Has anyone had a chance to try any of these basses, please? Ideally I'd like to get a used one but they don't come up often so...Any idea, on how they compare, sound wise, to the more traditional looking MV models? Thanks!
