1. It's a great Navigator and a sweet deal. Sweeter now as it's yours, shipped to your door in European countries for £1020 / 1150 euros. Bargain.
2. Thank you, they're great instruments indeed. I probably had 12 of them during the last 5 years - which i admit is kind of ridiculous -, this one is a great Navigator.
3. 1200 euros / £1050 price drop bump. Shipping fees to Europe are included. Sorry for UK people, exchange rate has evolved since my former price cut :-/ It really is a great jazz, high-end specs, craftmanship, playability & tone.
4. Still for sale. It's a great jazz. Top-notch quality / affordable price. (...) Reading my first post again, "dark veneer fingerboard"'s material is honduras rosewood.
5. £1050 / 1250 euros shipped to your door price cut bump
6. Thank you, plays & sounds great too ! Price drop. £1090/1300 euros shipped to your door in european countries.
7. Thank you Greg ! This one will give a lot of jazz bass for the money. Btw i didn't mention i live in France, near Paris
8. Killer jazz. Really. I'm selling my Navigator jazz bass, a 60s replica handmade in Japan in 2007. Construction & materials are top-notch, specs tick all the boxes for vintagey nuts like me : full nitro lacquer, bone nut, 7.25 radiused dark veneer fingerboard, spiral saddles bridge, very thin frets... minus the non-celluloid pickguard & gotoh GB2 tuning machines, it's as close as you'd expect to a pre-CBS Fender. The bass is in great condition. A bucklerash mark on the back, a few marks here and there, but it's nice considering the ultra-thin paintjob. The OW is creamier in the flesh. Great playing condition too. Super-straight neck with low action, 45-100 fresh d'Addario roundwounds. No fretbuzz, trussrod in perfect working condition too. Nice resonant alder body, the bass isn't on the heavy side for a jazz : 9 lbs / 4kgs As for the electronics : genuine Antiquity 2 pickups with passive CTS pots / Vitamin-Q condenser. Killer passive jazz sound, with tight lows and growly mids. Comes with a fender american standard hard-case – i guess -, in good condition. £1020 /1150 euros shipped to your door in European countries.
9. I can do such a comparison on my Lakland P if it's any help. I think it's very close to the 64-shape, plus the vintagey frets. As for the differences, slab RW vs veneer one, flatter fingerboard board too.
10. Some thoughts on Lakland Bob Glaub sig may be useful there. Got a japanese Shoreline one, neck is wider than the C-shaped 66 Fender i had. 44mm for sure, maybe more, with a really comfy C shape, close to vintage Ps. I guess Skyline series may tick these boxes too, plus being easier to find and a tad cheaper.
11. Seems this one won't find a new home, withdrawing the sale. This one may become a new bass then, with a J mod on the bridge side, or eventually a Lull or Thunderbucker set - bakelite or parchment pickguard of course :-) Should be ok.
12. Thank you, craftmanship and materials are top notch on this Freedom. This luthier is not well-known there, Pino's Rhino may change this and highlight these amazing instruments, which they truly deserve. Plus the market being slow at the moment, i feel it's time for another price-drop. £1215 / 1400 euros shipped to your door. I'm already losing quite a bit of money, losing a little more, but well it's ok, fair game.
13. Having a keeping this one and doing a PJ fiver mod thought. I'm mostly a 4-string player though.
14. Bump. If you have 4-string trade option, let me know.
15. Fresh pics + 1600 euros / £1355 price drop bump. In 10+ years lurking on japanese websites on a daily basis, i only saw one of these Retrospective PB for sale. I really isn't an easy-to-find bass.
16. Price drop, £1440 / 1700 euros, shipping included. A fraction of its streetprice.
17. A detailed pic on pickup height adjustment. A non-conventional way which evens string by string output.
18. I'm selling my Freedom Retrospective series Pbass. These are japanese high-end basses, handmade on request by Freedom Custom guitar research – Pino's Rhino builder. Mine is a P fiver in 34'' scale (with an extent on the B string). Overall good condition, with some crazes in the nitro layers, some marks here and there - it's real nitro, not fullerplast + top lacquer. The neck is perfectly straight, vintage frets remain intact, with perfect low action. Real-nice Honduras rosewood fingerboard, comfy C shape, a joy to play. B string is resonant and defined, not as tight as my Cirrus one, but it extents this thumpy goodness to the (very) lows. Very light Fender-shaped fiver, considering its alder body: 9.1lbs / 4kg. As for the electronics, the split pickup is quite unusual. I never seen such a pickup before. With 4 polepieces on the A string, you got to adjust the height in a non-conventional way to prevent volume peaks, but once you've found this sweet spot it's working really well. I formerly had a XP1-T, the Xotic take on a P fiver, very good bass but this one sounds better. Just as good as my 4-string Ps, with this wonderful passive tone. Push the tone pot and the 2 band EQ gives a modern twist to the beast. Unknown builder too, but it's dead quiet and really effective. You got many useful tones there, including a killer slap tone, the active EQ interacting with passive tone. Amazing bass. As for the price : streetprice is around the JPY400 000 mark, which means it'd cost over £3800/4100 euros to have it shipped to your door. I'll ship this one to yours, in European countries, for £[s]1600/1900[/s], dropped to £1215/1400 euros. Currently strung with fresh Labella low tension set – i also used DR roundwounds on this bass, it's working great. 19. 1150 euros / £1012 price drop bump.
20. Slightly indeed Thanks for your feedback on your P. These are mainly sold in Japan, not so common in Europe. They're what i found closest to vintage tone and feel. This one is in nice condition, great neck too, half Vanzandt Ps street price.
