1.
That is April 2014. 04 being April, 14 being 2014. Last 4 digits are the number of the bass.
Thanks!
 2. Gear4Music lockable bass guitar Hardcase, Fantastic condition, few marks but nothing major.
 3. Anyone know how to identify the year of Status basses? I've just come into possession of a beautiful S3 and was wondering when it was made....thanks for any help in advance 04143678
 4.
So the first bit of this wasn't really accurate then? Giving the impression of an entirely wasted trip because of the bag, when in fact you went looking for other stuff too. Either it was a wasted trip or it wasn't. Can't be both. Agreed that Marcus has no people skills, but I find Mark to be great. Top service whether I've bought a bag or a whole new rig.
Was a wasted trip because I went to buy a gig bag that was listed as "In stock" to then come away empty handed. Either way I'm not one to say "it's a wasted trip" me and the Mrs had a nice Starbucks 😂
 5.
Rang three times, no answer, drove 140 miles anyway, seems sensible.
Maybe some people like to drive, aswell as the fact that I wasn't just going to purchase the bag. I wanted to browse at BD overpriced gear.
 6.
Driving 140 miles when the site says "Out of Stock" Mmmmm. I won't even make a special trip to the PMT in my own town without calling first - even if the site says it is in stock. Even the big guys struggle to properly display real time stock levels.
Jesus Christ, get the picture and listen dammit!!!! When I checked it was listed as "IN STOCK". Got there and asked, they've updated it since. So, No. I didn't travel 140 miles without checking whether it was in stock. The website listed as "IN STOCK" doesn't mean "OUT OF STOCK" to me.
 7.
I'm amazed someone would travel 140 miles without being sure what they were going to buy was in stock. I like them, I've bought lots off them, had a couple of problems but these have always been very swiftly and professionally sorted out.
I didn't just go purely to buy it. I went for a few other bits too. In which the gig bag was listed on the website as "in stock" before I got there. Obviously they've updated it since.
 8.
Says out of stock on the website...
Yeah now it does.
 9.
Phone first... it's a 140 mile drive. That way you wouldn't have to put up sales people who on the face of have no sales skills.
Phoned three times. No answer.
 10. Just travelled 140 miles to purchase a Spector gig bag listed on Bass Directs website. Got there only to be told very rudely "not had them in 3 months" So why are they available to purchase via the website. I stood awkwardly while Marcus & assistant tit tattled about when one was last sold like children. Frankly Marcus seems like a very spoilt, downright rude person who has no people skills, no idea how to treat customers and has no idea how to run a business or a website. I highly recommend taking your money elsewhere, especially if you're looking to buy a new instrument. The Gallery in Camden or Bass Gear are both very friendly and will offer you a brew and a chat. Marcus will offer nothing but awkward silences and rude remarks.
 11.
Bump
Trades?
 12. Travelled down to buy a Status off Scott, very reliable and friendly chap, couldn't recommend enough Thanks Scott!
 13.
Any chance of a pic of the Z3? Just out of sheer noseyness Here's the one I let go purely on aesthetics, it played and sounded incredible. It came via a trade deal and I then just figured that if I'm spending as much as I did it should at least be in my choice of colour. See the right hand pic...WOW.....I think Sheldon called it 'Bloodmoon'...absolutely stunning. It simply looks like demand outnumbering supply. Keeps the prices up too. I'm simply going to have to order from scratch if I'm to get the one I really want...£££££££££££££££££££
I'd buy it back in a heartbeat if I knew who had it! Although I found the stock Glockenklang preamp to be rather restrictive. It would of been better with Darkglass pre, but nevertheless a fantastic instrument.
 14.
I should have fitted a darkglass to mine instead of looking at the Z series. I wanted an active circuit, it even had a wenge neck with oversprayed bubinga top. The Z3 replacement was magnificent but had a coffee table wood top and cost a fortune, Still a magnificent bass. Are you still using the purple one Kev? I'm just going to have to save a bit more and do the dream order from Sheldon.
I used to own that same Bubinga topped Z3, you sold to Pete I think, I bought it off him. Was a beautiful bass...
 15. Finally got round to sorting things out, give it a wipe over and a dust off and I'll take it off your hands Friday

 19. It has a maple neck with a rosewood Fretboard...not a rosewood neck!
 20. So I honestly didn't think I'd ever be doing this, but a recent change in financial circumstances forces me to sell a few of my basses to replenish some funds. So here is a beautiful example of pure German craftsmanship at the highest level. I drove nearly 200 miles down to Bridgend in Wales to purchase this from Jason 'Jay' James the previous bass player for Bullet For My Valentine. The bass is signed and dated by Jay and I have pictures below to prove The authenticity. Please don't comment with "Sharpie ruins it" etc etc. I've had all that on Facebook. It's a lovely bass and if the buyer dislikes the signature it's easily removable with multiple methods without harming the finish. Specs: Canadian Hard Rock Maple neck Swamp Ash body Satin trans black finish Premium Rosewood Fretboard Delano Active Preamp w/ active/passive push pull Delano MM Bridge pickup Delano Jazz Neck pickup Sandberg branded (Gotoh) Hardware. Will include a gig bag with the sale, anyone welcome to come and try it out, the bass sounds phenomenal and plays like butter!! Cheers C
