  2. you could use any small amp to plug in to it, who wants to lug a rig about the streets
  3. halfords power converter. i bought one , they are great charge them up and you can plug your amp into them. last summer i went buskingand plugged a hundred watt peavey monitor into it ,and busked for up to 4 hours and i never ran out of power. plugged my bass and a drum machine in to the monitor, excellent. dont waste your money on one of those five watt busking amps. i paid about £90 for the power converter, check it out.
  4. hi there, i have a 78 precision bass for sale at £800. its had a few mods, pickguard, hipshot, ashtrays, basslines pickup, volume tone controls, i would say its in fair condition for its age , a few scratches bruises etc, but nothing too bad. cheers, jimmy.
  5. hi there, do you have a selling price for this bass. cheers jimmy.
  6. hi there, im looking for an accoustic bass at the moment, i have a 78 fender precision for trade do you think we could do some sort of deal. cheers, jimmy.
  7. hi, im selling an ns wav bass, i got it 2nd hand bout a year ago and i havent gigged it. i bought it to save me the hasstle of using my accoustic bass at every gig with volume and feedback probs, but i never really got into it. i also separately bought the much better stand for the bass as the original one was crap, so the stand cost £150 on its own but its really good quality. i think this version of the bass was made in china? the neck on this bass seems to go forever, on the g string up around the 12 14 th frets there is a buzz which iv never bothered about as im not up that end very often. im looking for £550 and im also willing to post at buyers cost. im also open to trades , would consider a good quality accoustic bass, or maybe a combo. feel free to run anything by me. cheers NOW SOLD__________
  8. this sounds great, what a great recorded bass sound and the band is killin.

  16. hi all, just looking for some advice/oppinions on what kind of double bass strings to put on my n.s. wav bass. iv tried basschat member, endorkas bass which is fitted with pirastro flexicor strings and it sounds great, and sounds very close to the real deal.and louder, portable, and without the feedback probs, just a great substitute for certain gigs. The only prob is the price of these strings, a whopping £147. just wondering if anyone can give me any other ideas on what strings i could use on the wav to get the same kind of sound, but hopefully a bit cheaper. cheers in advance for any info. jimmy.

  21. thats cool, i know what you mean.
  22. i love playing solo bass, and got so tired of going to jam sessions wherepeople would give you this weird look when you asked if you could play a solo spot, i think they dont know what to expect, and most are surprised when you play something melodic(from a bass eh, i dont believe it) so i usually sing something to get them warmed up, and once iv got them i can do what i want. I try to get people to forget the instrument and listen to the music, its all about the music. I love to groove with a band and be very supportive, but its great to do your own thing and be happy doing it. on you tube type (just the way it is eab) is a clip of some solo stuff links i done ages ago and im still having fun on the bass. what a great way to help pay the rent. cheers.
  23. cheers again steve,i dont know anything about pickups, but when the bass had no output after i tried to raise the pickup with the adjuster screws, i discovered that the two solder joints had come away, and also the top of the pickup came away in my hand(the polepiece part),. i tried to put the wire back on but could,nt get it to work. I dont have the bass right now as its in the shop, or i could have posted some pics(i should have done that in the first place). its hard to explain, but if you look at any pictures on the net of the 51 reissue tele bass ,and that kind of pickup, you may be able to see what i mean. cheers again for your help.
