  1. hi , i bought a harley benton accoustic bass model hbb30nt, and for the money its amazing, i dont know if this is the same model, but before i bought this i tried ibanez(crap) crafter(worse) takamine(good) i tried a taylor £1200 quid,but accoustically i couldnt hear much difference, i know theyre better made and better pre amp etc,but doing an a-b test on all the abg,guitars i could find, for the money the loudest biggest able to compete bass i could find was the harley benton. just my oppinion ,but do not go by what it says on the headstalk, just use your hands, ears, and i dont need to wrap it in cotton wool as it didnt cost £1200. jimmy.

  3. hi there, i have a harley benton accoustic, which i got via thomman,and for the price it s amazing. the problem i v got is the e string , its much quieter than the others, which i think may be due to some pickup prob, but i cant get at anything, and there s no string adgustment etc. Anyone got any ideas on how to fix the prob. cheers, jimmy.

  5. hi there, i,v got a trace boxer combo 65 watt you know the one, its just for practice and i v done a few small gigs with it. Iv took the speaker and the amp out of it ,so im left with the cab,which i want to use with my eden 550 for small gigs.i like the carpet covered cab and i want to put a higher rated and better quality 12" speaker in it. can anyone let me know which speaker they would reccomend, i prob need something like 300 watt 8 ohms cheers, jimmy.

  7. hi there ,anyone got any suggestions for the best strings for accoustic bass guitar. i m looking for strings that sound loud unplugged, and good when the bass is plugged in,if there is such a thing. anyone had experi ence, cheers jimmy.

  10. hi there, im looking for an accoustic bass, i v tried the tanglewood and it feels really good,i need something that sounds loud unplugged, wondering if anyone has any info on any other ones they recommend. any info appreciated. jimmy

  17. hi there,i use a david gage pickup on my bass,sits under the bridge,and as a rule i hate having to plug my bass in at all, but needs must(noisey drummers) i just dont like the sound its very nasal. anyone got any tips on different pickups,mics,etc... i use an eden head,with different cabs,depends on gig. i need to get a sound im happy with live. cheers,any help much appreciated. jimmy.
  18. hi there,i was thinking of running my eden amp into two mackie 450 s,i was just gonna use the d.i. on the eden. i,v recently lost my bass cabs so this is just something i was gonna do till i get new cabs,any one tried anything like this before. cheers for any info. jimmy
  19. got no serial numbers,but got them via the bass merchant,gonna contact them tomorrow,to see if they can trace numbers. not much else i can do
