Oi, this bass is a beautiful piece! Actually, it turns more heads than my original 60s basses, it's just a big hit with the ladies. For those wondering, it's a plastic gun I have placed under the strings. It serves no purpose and has made no damage to the bass itself, it just sort of sits there. It does not increase its value, or decrease it. It just is! Cheers, Lawrie

Hi, I've got an EA iAmp 350 combo for sale. The amp is in great condition, and works perfectly. This was voted the best bass amp in the world last year by Bass Guitar magazine, so you're looking at a decent amp :-0 Check out the details here... http://www.overwater.co.uk/euphonic_audio_...p_350_combo.htm They retail new at £1350, but I'll sell this one for *gulp* £550. I might even entertain a deal for you... I'm based in central Bristol, come and have a look and I'll let you play my 66 jazz bass and make you a cup of tea. Aren't I nice...? I also have a set of EMG pickups for a jazz bass. These are beautiful and were situated on a bass once played by the late legend John Entwistle (I don't expect this to affect the price) but you can always try! The pickups need 2 9volt batteries, which is a fair old amount of power like! £40 delivered.

Hi all, I'm having somewhat of a life laundry, you know, one of those time when you get rid of all the stuff in your flat. Anyone who knows me knows that I accrue guitars and gear like an idiot, so I'm getting rid of most of the other things I have, which include tons of books etc. Prices here do not include postage, and I can only post Saturday mornings (I work a 12 hour day) so bear that in mind. Other than that, everyone knows I am a stand up guy, and although I've had some PC issues at time to time, I've always followed up the deals I've made. PMs and happy to take Paypal :-) (This is a great price as it's pretty much new!!!) DVDs Roy Ayers - Live at Ronnie Scotts - £3 Gil Scott Heron - Live - £3 SCRATCH - the history of scratching. £4 Books (all in great condition unless err, they're not and I've said so!) Metallica - St Anger - (guitar) £5 Bruce Springsteen Complete (Guitar) Odd Meter Bassics (no CD) £4 Play Rock Guitar - £3 It's easy to bluff... music theory - £3 Reggae Bass (w/CD) £6 Funk Fusion Bass (No CD) £4 Rhythm Guitar - £4 The Real Book (Bass Clef edition - basically new) £18 Funk Bass (no CD) £4 Guitar the Gibson Way - 60s Book - £10 Fender Bits Precision Knobs (70s I think) £15 Switchraft Jacks from the 70s £3 each Vintage guitar catalogues, I've got some, will update the list a little later if there is some interest. Have got loads more, can't be bothered to check yet, but will update tomorrow. PM etc. Cheeeeeers :-)
Edit: Edit: I do honestly feel bad for creating this situation out of a misquote but I've made myself look like a complete arse in the process as well as losing a certain amount of integrity on this forum so I feel that I've had my comeuppance. What’s your take on this?
I'd say it's an internet forum and no-one would really give a sh*t. It all seems to me that this has blown out of all proportion. I've bought and sold guitars, amps, records, motorbikes for years, getting on ebay in 1997. I've had about 3,000 feedbacks (and a couple of hacked accounts) and through this time have met many great people (including Chris) and done deals with a lot of them. I've also met my fair share of people who've had issues with completing transactions, failed to pay etc. Thre's usually a reason, and if they can't tell you the reason, then they're an issue. I don't care if you've not go the money, bid by accident, lost your job whatever. If people let me know straight away, and up front, I'd move on and sell the item again. The amount of times I've been f*cked over, I would have needed to take a week off work to write them all up on internet forums! I have one rule for transactions over £100 and it is... Whenever you buy things through an internet forum or ebay, have the courtesy to speak to the other person on the phone. This creates a real relationship and makes things a lot easier. For what it's worth, i'd have the 74 body back in a shot Chris and rebuild that bad-boy, but you'd see some of the parts on ebay so I'll let it go this once (sad mind you!) Cheers, L
