Though, it's been a while since we saw anything really surprising. Where are the Thunderbird dekos or the Semi-Hollow dekos? EDIT: Still there the next morning. Still 'available immediately' suggesting that there is at least a few of them. While it's one of the regular dekos that turns up and not all that newsworthy, it's one that a number of people have bought. So, anyone going for one?

Chained to the computer all day. Go out for a lunch break to a local nature reserve, and when I get back it's already listed.

My four string fretless has a five string fretless label, as do the non-deko ones, it seems. It has limited sustain way up the neck, again as the non-deko ones seem to have. I'm very happy with it.

Thanks guys. My tools aren't as flat as the modified ones above, and I suspect that they are my partner's father's pincers, and modifying them may not be on the table. I did see if they could 'grab' the frets, but they can't. My first intention with the bass is to practice fret levelling, and I must remember to borrow a file from the machine shop at work.

DEKOS 5 string acoustic. http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_b_35nt_acoustic_bass_s_deko.htm Coldflow: Someone received a ukulele bass deko that had a non-functioning truss rod. It was still playable. (Apologies to the owner for not going back through the thread to work out who it was).

A number of their earlier basses looked exactly like some Shine (Saein) basses. E.g. the previous six string. However, I'm not convinced that all their instruments are made by Saein. Are there any really robust sources (e.g. Thomann saying it's so) to say that all Harley Bentons are Shines? The BZ range look a lot like the instruments made by another Korean factory, though I can't remember which one now.

I can't do it right now, but I should be able to use the bass sounds from the video to set up an online single blind test, at some time in the future. If wanted.

Happy new bass day Coldflows. Happy new bass day Bartleby, for when you finally get your hands on it. I just visually compared my PJ5 to my Rockbass Streamer Standard V, and the necks look to be about the same width. The PJ5's neck is quite a bit narrower than my Harley Benton BZ7000.

Isn't making someone stay at work when there's a new bass waiting for them at home against the Human Rights Act?
