  1. Yeah..... Just bought one yesterday and it's sitting next to me. Board feels abit naked now Stomp and a B7K off to the side. Penny drop when everything else is not surplus to requirements so got pedals to go.
  2. Which Sadowsky are you using & What do you use it for? Is the Art very good or just enough? I've been doing my nut in lately at Band Practise, where I am D.I in a Soundbooth with the drummer and sending to the control room upstairs and emulating a SVT via an UA Apollo. But it's just not the same, I have a ABM but this is just so its more clinical... and easier to transport around etc. Looked around for a Helix as my G man uses one, but not at the 2nd hand prices they are at... Used to Use a Sansamp but debating if either I am going wrong or simply need summit else to add that tube-esk warmth that I am craving. Signal is Korg - TC Comp - B7K Ultra - Noise Gate for dirty loop - Out.
  3. @dgbass - Your jazz is back to front? 😁
  4. I "think" you can power from non USB PC port and still hear your guitar from the input's, will just simply boost the connection in. Not sure if that will give any difference or if that make it clean ( Active monitoring on? ) Which is what I was referring to, but I didn't explain that in my original post. My bad.
  5. Depends really - Sellers will look at what others have it listed for and then match. - Try buying a Macbook Pro 2019/2020 model for a respectfully 400 quid. No chance. However, a 2 second search means you can get it for less else where. I wont mention the fees that they rip your eyes out for. - Isn't worth it unless its 99p specials. I will however refuse to use shop.com, hosted by shopify. That is fraud central, you can pay for an item and unless they send it can close down their "shop". Going through fraud atm. Just a right P.I.T.A . At least Ebay if you have an issue can square it away to a point.
  6. The palmer will be sucking all the "energy" away due to the resistant changes and impedance. TRS cables give a noticeable difference, I use the BX-8's myself ( Jack to XLR ) - all your ports are Balanced. Have you tried powering your Audio interface by power socket and not USB? Does this clean up the signal at any point without the DI box?
  7. When people only drink Carling, and then they have a proper made, clean water purity beer brewed abroad that blows their mind & liver with the richness & clarity. Fk what others think! Bring the big fker everywhere!
  8. Have a deeks at The Charvel's mate, 12 inch radius neck and nice body build quality by Fender Mexico . Terrible pre-amp though. Prices have came right down...Under 700 quid I tried everything from low range to high range and these sat above and beyond.
  9. Warwick red labels aren't too shabby for the pricearound £8.60 for a set in the UK. I destroy strings from sweat, Even the "nano" ones hardly last even with a clean.
  10. I love my Corvette, after another or a thumb for sure! I will with respect disagree & agree as two gentleman having a civil conversation among fellow peers, that the music simply evolved with the use of sampling more in a developed structure way. The title of Nu-Metal came the wave of heavier main stream music, or the use of alternative means to deliver. ( Japans mad capsule markets were using sampling mixed with punk rock back in 94! ) Question would be what came after 02? Newer Metal? I hate using terms ... I mostly go off a release than anything so Linkin Park Meteora , Deftones self tilted , Muse Absolution. 04 was American Idiot from memory. Big albums. I was only 13 back then so going off my experiences of how this was big, Even artic monkeys getting on the rise etc in the background the whole Emo poop coming through on the mix. Perhaps it was the clothing that changed, and not per say the instruments used? That would be the biggest visible distraction if you were not music techy. No one will notice you making the wrong note during a gig just yourself. Even then you can laugh it off. So 2000's is big goth jeans, 2005-2009 is them silver studded belts, tight jeans and longer hair... ?.
  11. Warwick comes to mind tbh, Just thinking of the Nu-Metal scene at that time was big on it all or even Alt stuff such as Incubus etc. the latter of the decade does feel more "custom" stuff than anything, such as mono paint jobs, Shiny stuff like the Manson gear , lights etc... Pedulla for Muse I would say as that was abig time but its not really "stand out"? . Probs a Red Jazz bass would do!
  12. Tidy as! and 8 years of hard playing and still loving it is always a keeper. Like grilled halloumi! ( compliment ) I do love DiMarzio's , even got a set in my warwick corvette the Mec's were Meh East's pre amps are very good, I went for a Glock myself due to the control knobs I had available on my Charvel , which needs further work to shield. Thanks Fender. Useless. I would of never guessed it would of been for a Ska band either
  13. Went to use the recently replace pot for the compressor just to see what it would do, and a lovely metal snapping sound came back. Sigh
  14. They forget its not lockdown and the furlough cash cow as ceased?
  15. Not much about on videos, reminds me of a quiet big muff with the saturation. Will check out the aftershock though! hmmm
  16. I use a B7K ultra myself with the ABM
  17. Better buy before someone here pips you
  18. Or spend 500 on a 200 watt Darkglass amp. Jokers
  19. My ABM 600 is Chinese, but they do unique ones UK wise. I believe they were made here first before manufacturing was moved on the "standard" models. ( someone please correct me ) . But as it states these are UK built which I would believe. £400 is a very reasonable price. I paid around £330/350 for mine and had todo a service on it, for less then two crates of beer by ashdown. The support is mint I have to say. Proper happy. The compressor is not for my taste due to the ratio, It's okay as a standard but if you want to be more direct in what you're doing and understand WTF it all means...1/4 2/4 attack? ratio? release?.... I use a TC pedal as I wanted more accent on the lower strings overall for volume control. in summary its alright and does a job if you want it to. (this is an after signal compressor to boot, I have mine at stage 1 before it runs into the amp etc) For point 4, Yep! As the amp is what I would call very clear, the sounding of it should compliment each other. You can really get a nice sound quite easily with lots of headroom. Drive that valve and enjoy. Good solid bass amps IMO. I won't be getting rid as it ticks the boxes. ( Running it with a ABM 1x15 or Ampeg 4x10 SVT )
  20. Did the Evo know you bought the IV600 before hand? or did you just introduce it suddenly? - Just one of the Theories I am working on atm
  21. Reason I ask is , I use the same model or the passive and it was the worse tone sucking P.O.S ever.
