1. Burpster - stop shouting and calm down man! it comes down to the same thing for all basses - horses for courses! we are ripped of big time on the prices we pay for basses - there is a markup of at least 40% on all manufactured instruments as well as that an MM is in no way worth more than say an American standard pbass at £699 and I feel exactly the same about the Yamaha attitude at £1050 thank goodness that has been dropped to £700.....teh point I would like to think was being made is that occasionally some basses are made to the same standards as the 'standard' setter, only less cash to buy therfore making folk think long and hard about their purchase. Asian manufacturing processes, particularly yamaha Japan, are far more refined and much faster, producing large quantities, than ours and america's making the standard more achievable at far less the cost!
2. sorry they dont all play like pigs! some like cows and moo like them too.....MM's for me are way over priced for what they are!

16. hiya mate would you come and go on the price for a straight a cash sale? andy
17. hi mate totally lost sight of this one...£250 is a great price, but you are right - derby is a bit away.....
18. I'm no quite understanding parts of what you are trying to say...but, the 'feeler' bids are a way of pushing up the final amount, whereas if you bid last minute you get to observe the bidding trend, make an assumption based on the observation (set up or not - proxy bidding etc) and then bid your amount, not an amout that has been pushed up to get more money out of the sale because you put an initial bid in... If more people bid last thing it would, in my view, stop all this proxy nonsense as the dishonest seller would have no way of reaching: a, his reserve or b, an inflated price due to one of his friends bidding but this is just my opinion and perhaps a 'bin' should become the norm in ebay?? I don't know, however something needs to be done to halt the farce that is bringing down ebay...
19. I'm a bit of a fan of motown myself - not a huge fan...however, taking into consideration the equipment they were using, the sound was superb, bass players were just astounding and for me, held it all together so well...but modern technology has advanced so much, in terms of musical equipment, that everything is so much better now?? leads me back to an earlier point about the tone being in you and more specifically your hands! as a famous man once said "feel the force youg jedi...it is within us all"
20. I loved that bass from the moment I first saw it many moons ago.........
21. I always get that wrong!! its my inner child state................................cosmically speaking!
22.
I was chatting to my daughter's boyfriend about eBay dealing. He then proudly boasted about shilling bidding for his mates and even selling known stolen gear (plant) that was defective and unservicable at a vast profit, dropping it off with the buyer and doing a runner. Needless to say I'm hoping that the relationship doesn't last! It's interesting because I'm sure he considers himself fairly honest and trustworthy, but just 'playing the game'.
its the concience thing that would always get me..... I have started looking at items and bidding within the last few seconds, if I feel that the auction is valid, allowing me to observe the bidding trend.
