Speakons are better than 1/4 in jacks but to suggest jacks are NFG or fragile is ridiculous. Speakons lock so anyone tripping over a lead is either gonna pull the cable from the plug or pull your amp off the top of your cab so keep your leads short! If you have a rig with speakons and jacks then it makes sense to use speakons cos they is better, but to decide not to buy something cos it only has jacks is dumb.
very true...had this happen to me some time ago, fortunately it wasn't my gear or I would have hit the roof and the drunken bum who did it! It would be good to find out if there is a sonic difference though?? good quality 'locking' style leads can make such a difference to hifi especially when extracting information from a turntable.

dont worry artisan - you'll love the 3pro! I hooked up to my 2 x svt410 yesterday and man it rocked! I could just as easily part with the remainder of my gear! Loads of scope for sound and tuning - for me its simply does what it says on the box! enjoy andy

remember though 15% goes to ebay when all fees are added....greedy bar stewards those ebay owners!

you know, in all my years playing I have not noticed any huge difference in speakon over 1/4 jack but someone please feel free to enlighten me! please speak in practical sound terms as techincal specs dont do it for me. It is though important to pair the right cab with your svt 3 pro. I gig with my 3pro and other b410hlf, they are great together! the full range of this cab is perfect for the type of music I play - rock - while not causing any lower back pain when transporting to gigs. andy

I'm a big ampeg fan, great for rock! as you have listed a few things, take some time out and go listen to all this stuff as you will need to know! soundcontrol do a fourteen day return policy - or they did - allowing you to buy the gear try it and if it did not work out excahnge within this time period.

I have a b410hlf 4ohm 450watt cab in new condition for sale..£300, works incredibly well with the 3pro. andy

Don't be too down on the Chinese/Vietnam made equipment, I have two B410hls which are superb! the only thing I don't like is the tolex, it scuffs and tears fairly easily. For sound, size and flexibility, I cant fault the build nor quality.

100% correct Mr Warwickhunt! in my experience, Soundcontrol has given me a lone of an amp when necessary. stick with the Ampeg though - they might even have an exchange in the shop but again, as WH says, don't go in all emotional be reasonable with them and you'll get what you need. andy
