Fender Jazz Bass 1970 For sale is my sunburst Fender Jazz Bass from late 1970. The pots date back to week 51, and the neck pickup dates back to 1970 too Otherwise there are no readable stamps that say anything, but it’s all consistent with 1970. The bass is in good condition considering its age. It has a few small damages and finish checking all over. But nothing significant. The only thing worth mentioning is that the last few frets have been levelled lower to compensate for a bit of ski-jump (like many of those oldies). The bass plays great with a medium low action. Soundwise it’s one of the best jazzes I’ve ever owned. It sounds warm and clear with some nice growl with both pickups on, but also does the bridge pickup snarl perfectly with the tone knob closed. Included are the original Fender branded Hagström case (very rare), the original manual, and the original purchase invoice from January 1971! With the chrome covers and thumb rest mounted, the bass weighs in at 4,4kg on my kitchen scale. The bass has been set-up with fantastic La Bella LTF flats at the moment of sale. Peavey Rudy Sarzo signature Fantastic top of the line Peavey, made in USA. Apparently it's from 1990. These aren't offered very often. This instrument has many high end features as a neck through construction, ebony fretboard, fancy inlays and high quality hardware. The bass can be played passive or active (3eq) and sounds great either way. The two pickups are humbuckers, and I feel it gets into Musicman territory. The response is pretty quick, which reminds me of my Modulus basses. Playability is Awesome. The action can be set very low on this one, which probably helps in providing the quick response of the notes. Play-wise it's pretty much like my Modulus Flea, though the neck on the Peavey is just a bit fuller feeling. The condition is pretty good for its age, with no serious damages to be found. All hardware and electronics work. The treble knob runs stiff, but works. The neck is straight, the truss rod works well, the frets are still good to go. Included is the original hardcase and documentation. Fixed price €1.150 I am located in the Netherlands, but happy to ship at buyers risk and expense.

Fender Mustang Bass 1970 For sale is my great vintage ’70 Mustang Bass in a sought after competition red finish with matching headstock. The bass is all original as far as I can tell, and is fitted with an uncommon pinkish pearl pickguard (as sometimes found on instruments from this era). The serial number says it’s from 1970, which seems consistent with the matching headstock. The pots date back to week 51 of 1970. I don’t have a picture of the pickup bottoms; the pickguard is partly stuck to the body, and I don’t want to force things when taking it off. The solder joints are untouched. This bass has been used, and it has small damages and usermarks all around. Nothing serious though, it’s in a very good vintage condition considering the age. All hardware and electronics are functional. Two of the tuners are a bit stiff and might need some lubrication. The neck is straight, adjustable, and the frets are in good condition. I’ve added an angled shim to get the action lower while retaining a good breaking angle. It’s a comfortable playing bass. For the sale, the bass will be fitted with a set of Ernie ball flats. Included is the original "salt ’n pepper" Victoria hardcase. Asking €4.950 Partial trades are welcome. I am mainly interested in a 5er with narrower stringspacing (ideally a Stingray with maple fretboard and lacquered neck (like early ’90s) but will consider others too. For sale is my Funkulator pedal. Handmade in Italy, and rarely offered. Very cool and versatile pedal, but I don't really use it. All functions work like they should. Only the VU meter doesn't move much. I've been told it's adjustable with a trimpot on the inside. I haven't checked though as I don't see any use for it. Modulus Funk Unlimited (Flea) For sale is my great Modulus Funk Unlimited from 2008, in highly desirable blue flake finish. It’s equipped with a Seymour Duncan pickup and Aguilar OBP-1 preamp; a great sounding combo with huge output. These are quite unique sounding instruments. The bass is in clean, excellent condition. Everything works as it’s supposed to. Frets are in very good condition too. Playability is superb with a very low action. I’ve never had a lower action on any other bass. Weight is 4.5kg on my kitchen scales. The original hardcase is included, which has some damages but functions well. It's kind of a reluctant sale, but new purchases mean I have to make some choices.
