That’s got some great technique, control and tempo in it. The level of skill required to do what he is doing consistently must be really high. I actually don’t find that too bad at all - in fact, I’d go so far as to say if I was passing by a performance of this at a festival I would stay and hear it out and like it. The sock on the headstock tho....?!

This talk of microtonal stuff might persuade me that my rubbish attempts at fretless were actually materclasses in progressive modern musical style...!

The driver is the same - not sure about the amp tho. There’s a k10 and a k10.2 in our band and they are very similar tonally and volume wise.

I’m not sure I could justify keeping a bass long term that didn’t earn it’s keep one way or another (so to speak) unless it had sentimental attachment. I do tend to adopt the “not been played for 3 months rule” - hence why the AVRI P is up for sale

I have a series/parallel switch on my ACG Finn 4 - even after fitting a P-Retro preamp I kept the switch as I really like the variance it gives. Note output level is different, so don’t be tempted to use it as a boost - adjust volume to match for each setting and you get two nicely varied tonal outputs

Put some rounds on and dabble with your EQ and you can have as much clank and scrape as you like. It’s pretty hot but I like it - still planning some sound samples.

I’m confused as to whether I should hate this, like this, love this or have a passive indifference to it now.. What do I do? I want to stay trendy and on message but I also want to be able to shrug my shoulders with a completely passive carelessness that renders me so cool that I’m positively... ..I have no idea what I’m talking about now.
