1.
They look lovely. 250w might not seem like much, but it's 14w more than the TC RH450. *ducks behind rock*
I thought that the RH450 was 450 watts ? Am I missing something ?

4.
Had a try of a working version yesterday, after the first unit they had in in Colchester was DOA. First impressions were good. To my ears has the EBS tone with the glassy bright control, compressor good also. Appear very loud for 250 Watts. I'm going back to try again today with my own EBS Proline 4x10. Also going to take in a Markbass LMII and my EBS TD650 so I can make better tone and volume comparisons. Will let you know how it goes.
I'd be very interested in hearing your comparison.
5. I've just bought an EBS Reidmar and want EBS cabs to match, I've used them in the past and been very happy. I've liked a smaller set up though, and the size of the HD350 has always put me off. This cab is in excellent condition, possibly 9/10. I ordered this cab direct from Acme earlier in the year. Please do not be put off by the nonsense about these being inefficient, and needing tons of power. This is not the case at all. They are not any less efficient than any other cab, it's just that Acme are very honest about the cab's specifications. Most other manufacturers lie about their specifications. I have used the cab with a variety of amps, a MarkBass F1, LM2 and my SWR Headlight. It really does reproduce what you put into it. I know other manufacturers make similar statements, but these really do. They also work better than most other cabs with extended range basses, they very accurately reproduce a low B, hence the name. I'd like £300 Collection is preferred, I can also deliver it but a courier is possible and comes to about £20 . Trades welcome for EBS cabs, 2x10, 2x12 or 1x12.
6. This is virtually brand new. It is manufactured by the people who manufacture MarkBass gear. They have several different ranges of equipment, aimed at different parts of the market ie. MoMark, Mark Audio, Mark Acoustic, DV Mark and obviously MarkBass. This is from the DV Mark range. It's an incredibly high quality Class D, 1U stereo Power amplifier. The specifications are as follows - 500 Watts per channel @ 4 Ohms 300 Watts per channel @ 8 Ohms 1000 Watts bridged mono into an 8 Ohm load. Frequency response - 3HZ to 20 KHZ Noise ratio - >100dB/A These are 'real Watts' ! This thing is very loud, extremely clean sounding, lightweight, easy to use and very quiet running. I've been using it with an Avalon U5 into a pair of Acme Low B2'S. It's the perfect lightweight power amplifier. £450 including next day shipping. Trade for an EBS cab.
7. This is in excellent, dare I say it 'as new' condition. Complete with the original packaging, and I'll throw in the necessary very high quality cable connectors for connecting to a power amplifier. £300 including next day shipping. Trades welcome for a small and powerful head, MarkBass LM2/LM3 or maybe an Aguilar Tonehammer, or an Epifani UL502.
8. Mark King - even though I don't really slap, he was a big influence on me when I was a young kid. His finger style playing is really, really good but often gets overlooked. He also sings really well too. Jaco Pastorius - simply amazing ! Stanley Clarke - Phenomenal on both electric and upright. Anthony Jackson - His funk/groove playing on the early Chaka Khan albums is awesome, as is his jazz playing on the 6 string contrabass. He also invented the 6 string bass. John Patitucci - Again, a great player on both upright and electric (6 string).
9. There are a few Fodera's for sale on here at the moment. I'd like to see some photos of this one, not that I can afford it !
10. I just sold Victor a couple of bass stands. It was a very quick and easy transaction.
11. One thing I'd never do is take another gig because it was paying more money though.
12. Just like this, in excellent condition. http://www.amazon.co...22492767&sr=8-1 £15 each posted, or £25 for both.
13. This supplies 9 volts and up to 3 amps. It's the same as the Diago ones I believe. £15 posted.
14. I play in 4 or 5, and dep quite frequently. It's first come first served. It's useful to have someone you can call on to dep for you if needed.
15. I'm buying a Status S2 6 string. I've always prefer nickel strings, to my knowledge there isn't a nickel double ball end string. Please correct me on that though . I could I guess use the string clamp thing, little screw things. How reliable are they, and is there any difference sound wise between using double ball end strings and normal strings with the string locks screws ? Thanks !
16. I have someone coming to see this on Monday. Just a quick bump to see if there's any more interest in case that sale falls through . No one interested in making an offer ?
17. I emailed after this, they didn't even bother saying thanks but no how rude .
18. You've got to learn them, you can't have charts ? I do a lot of dep gigs, and I just take a music stand, set it low and to the side so I can see it but it's not obtrusive. I don't think it really matters to be honest anyway if it can be seen. I do quite a few 'reading' gigs too, so obviously there are stands on the stage.
19.
Hi Kev! I actually got to play the Calibas Twin when I bought your Calibas! It sounded incredible, almost like a Moog bass tone but weighed a ton! I think it sold on Ebay! Hope all well with you - fancy swapping the Calibas for a rather superb OW??! Cheers! N x
Swap back ? Might be interested
20. I'm looking at a 32" scale 5 string bass. It's currently strung with a high C, I'd like to use a low B. Anyone tried this ?
21. Hi, So this is a lined fretless ? Sorry for the silly question but I can't see any lines on the photos. Dots are in between the lines, assuming there are lines, so it can easily be converted to a fretted ? I may be very interested. Swap maybe for my Jaydee Calibas 6 string ?
22.
Is the Mark King sold?
I'm afraid it is, it sold this very night . Can I tempt you with a rather nice 6 string Jaydee ?
