  1. Bump for a lovely and affordable bass.
  2. Looking at the end of March when restrictions are lifted on movement...
  3. 25% on top, so budget for about £2,300.
  4. Hi Stu, it’s an active preamp and passive pickups (I’ve been told!). Updated the listing. Still a lovely thing.
  5. I don't want to get into a discussion about Fender finishes (it's the world's dullest discussion point, I reckon), but here's the official Fender description of the bass which I've used below. If anyone from Mexico wants to chime in then please do! The Classic Series '50s Precision Bass Lacquer delivers the distinctive 1950s-era look, sound and vibe of those first Fender basses, with vintage style and an authentic nitrocellulose lacquer finish on its alder body. Other features include a "C"-shaped maple neck, 7.25"-radius maple fingerboard with 20 vintage-style frets and black-dot inlays, vintage-style split single-coil pickup, gold anodized pickguard, four-saddle American Vintage bass bridge, and vintage-style reverse tuners.
  6. Lots of lovely interest, but still here. I really love this bass, so hope it finds a new home. I’ve managed to find a case for this too should postage be necessary.
  7. Still here staring at me on it’s green glory.
  8. You can also use these to record on an iPad. I have two of these and they are amazing. Great price too!
  9. Perhaps o was a little optimistic with the price, so how about £200 for a beautiful fretless.
  10. It's a long-scale (34") bass, not the teeny tiny shortscale!
  11. That doesn’t look right at all. The neck looks like it’s been refinished (all Vo rage Fenders I’ve owned have aged on the back of the neck but less so on the part screwed to the body). The truss Rod doesn’t look correct either.
  12. Turbowolf are brilliant and I love this idea. All power to them.
  13. Would go wonderfully with the Markbass I sold you (if you still have it)
  14. It’s a wonderful bass and I was genuinely amazed at the quality of it when I got it. Sadly, I just can’t do fretless (and I spent almost £1500 on a Shuker too, but don’t tell anyone). Trade wise I’m less about electric bass but I’d dearly love a Helix pedal or anything DB related!
  15. What. beauty! This is a very lovely 2010 Fender Classic 50's Precision Bass in sunburst. This has the ultra-wide fretboard and packs a massive punch, sounding every bit like a classic Precision bass from your favourite hits. Period features include a delicious (and widely discussed) poly finish, open-back tuners, vintage-style Precision Bass split-coil pickup, gold anodized pickguard, 7.25" fretboard radius. It's made in Mexico, but don't let that put you off. It's a beauty. Comes with barely stroked D'Addario Chromes which provide the vintage thump you need. As you can see, it's in lovely condition. Would prefer collection from Bristol, but could ship in the UK if you are prepared for me to wait and get the right packing materials and pay for a case. Take a look at the pics and email if you want more detail. Looking for £650 Reason for sale is that I'm just getting rid of basses I don't play.
  16. Glorious Ibanez Talman in a stunning shadeof vintage mint green. I bought this bass to play in my office, then we all got sent home. I purchased it used, but it's basically as new. There are a few minor marks on the back, but the front and neck are all mint (pun intended). The plastic still remains on the rear pickup. Pickup from Bristol preferred, particularly for a low-value bass like this I can't see sending it making it worth anybody's time. Don't be fooled by the price, it's a really powerful and wonderfully made bass with an active preamp that nails that retro sound. Pics on the way. Looking for £130.
  17. Here's a lovely Harley Benton something BZ-5000 NT - Fretless. This is in good used condition, with a few marks to the body (pictured) and some slight wear from roundwounds on the board. The bass is strung with a reasonably new set of rounds and sounds great. Quite how they can produce such a high-quality neck-through bass at this price is bewildering. It's genuinely a beautiful piece of engineering and luthiery. I'm based in Bristol and can't really send this (although I could dig out a case if you're insistent). Trades are always welcome. Price is now £200. Don't be fooled by the £255 price on the Thomann website, this is before VAT and a whole host of courier charges). 18. Hi Nick, not sure if you’re seeing messages but I sent one yesterday...
  19. Agreed. It’s worse with vintage gear. People with Pre-cbs fenders are like people with a degree from Oxford or Cambridge - they’ll always signs some way to drop it into the conversation.
