Another one to play along to is Future Breed Machine by Meshuggah.
just out of curiosity how do people count most of the Meshuggah stuff, ive always thought of it as 4/4 with some really unusual subdivisions as the drummer seems to keep a 4/4 pulse going throughout, if I remember rightly when future breed machine was transcribed in bass player a couple of years back it was done like that
by adding an ext cab,,,does this decrease the overall output, or does this bring the amp to its maximum impedance and deliver 307watts?
yeah as lee7 said it brings the amp to its max impedance, the amp section is 4 ohm and the combo speaker is 8 ohm so to get the max output you need to run an 8 ohm extension cab also

Hey Im putting this up for sale as Ive just purchased a Mark Bass head off of here + want to sell a few bits and bobs so I can get a new bass, for what they cost its hard to fault these wee amps and has been my gigging amp for just under a year(was bought new from Kennys Music in Dundee), it works fine by its self but for the last couple of gigs i was using it with an extension and it sounded beefy as hell You can find all the technical stuff here, this one is the carpeted one not the one covered in vinyl on the page http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.asp?ID=77 Local pick up would probably be best as it is quite heavy, but can post it at the buyers expense Ross ps will post pics up tomorrow, just need to find the connector wire

Hey there folks after reading the bass lessons thread on here I have decided that really would like to get back into lessons to help develop and improve on things like improv, identifying things by ear and bass line construction. Was just wondering if any bass chatters nearby could recommend anyone in the area or even in a surrounding city Ta Ross
Can anyone help me with the song Psychosomatic Heart Failure by The Gasoline Brothers. I haven't been playing long and I'm struggling to play by ear. All help is appreciated thankyou, below is a link for the song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlMNynl9PGw
one thing that helped me when i started working out bass lines was to put my bass down and hum or a sing along with the bass line till it got stuck in my head and then transfer that onto my bass, if its still giving you grief i can give you a hand with the part
