Could you please point me in the right direction, im a real TRB fan
its a 3 peice band doing jazzy/funky covers of pop songs, bass player uses a TRB6 with the piezo pick up i think http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NV10C5wrajA
2.
Anyone got any idea how much the original Yamaha TRB5 MK1's were when new...expensive? What do you think of these basses..
Just picked one up on evil bay for £340 which im fairly chuffed about, only had it for about a week but im pretty sure already that its going to be a keeper. It did take me a while to get my head round the adjustable mid eq on the pre-amp but pretty sure ive got it now Not 100% sure on the price they were selling for but i had it my head that it was around the £800-1000 mark, saw one post in the for sale forum saying they retailed for about £1300 when they were introduced but that may have been list price and not street price
3. Just bought this fretted twin of this bass, seller came accross very pleasant and was very speedy in getting the bass sent off (auction ended sun evening and was posted mon) thought about sticking a bid in for it myself but then i remembered how awful my fretless playing is http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-TRB5F-Ser...=item2c5e20bb7e
4. Dan purchased my Phil Jones Bass Buddy last week and happy to say the transaction was a positive one. No complaints what so ever, was very quick with payment and came across as a nice guy. Do not hesitate in dealing with this basschatter
5. Bought an EBS microbass from him, really smooth and easy purchase even with the item being shipped from Greece, highly recommend this basschatter
6.
Yes - and the tone on full as well.
having the pick ups both on full might be the reason why you are not being able to cut through in the mix, try cutting the vol slightly on one of the pickups this should give you a bit more punch and clarity
7. do you have both pick ups at full vol on your your jazz bass
8. spotted something i really want on EBay so really need to shift this ASAP so this week only i will let it go for the sum of £575
9. as this title would suggest this a feedback for me thread
10. not had any experience with the Six Pack (although im sure it like the rest of the PJB stuff is pretty sweet) but the bass buddy's are great little things
11.
Knocks spots off a Fender for build quality (fact) and tome (imo).
this man speaks the truth
12.
Very nice piece of kit here, I use it mostly for headphone practice but have used it one or twice through a PA and it sounds great either way so have a bump on me and best of luck selling it Cheers Mikey
cheers matey
13.
Hi is this 34" or 35" scale??
hey its 34" scale
14. open to sensible offers, oh and meant to say bass would be posted in gator hardcase
15. This is fantastic little piece of kit which provides ace tone and can be used as 10 watt practice amp, DI for live or studio work or can be used as a pre amp for a power amp. Bought it last month from a BCer who used mostly for studio work and have used it at a couple of gigs since buying it so has not been abused. As much as I really like the Bass Buddy I still prefer the EBS Microbass II preamp so need to sell the BB to fund the EBS. Comes with box, carry bag and 18 volt power supply http://www.philjonespuresound.com/products/?id=2 looking for £170 or trade for EBS Microbass II a few pics can be found here http://s899.photobucket.com/albums/ac191/rosco83
16. cheers guys used the line out at both gigs this weekend and worked great, i had tried using the line out in the house before i posted but the signal was peaking the amp even with the gain on the amp nearly at 0 but figured out this was happening because i didnt realise that the master vol on the pre amp affected the output level of the line out and had been up fairly high
