1.
looks lush - never really seen a sea foam outside of the Fender range - did you get it new? what are the pickups? is the third one significantly different? what would a Private Stock commission cost now?
Hi HS, I bought this bass from the original owner who commissioned it from PRS. 3 single coil pickups, 1 hum canceling. the 10 position selector means you can get a vast range of sounds from the 3-pick-up combination. I have been told that £4-5k would be a good starting price for a PS and that would also be the cost to replicate the bass I have should I need to.
2. heres a couple of quick pics, bass is signed on the rear cover and back of headstock as this was a custom order.... PRS did do some production 5'ers, If I was to order a Private Stock it would be a 6 string based on the KL series guitar or maybe the modern eagle 2
3. love the burst on your prs, think I will have too keep my eye out for one of these to partner my seafoam green prs I am gassing after a 5 string prs though so might have to wait for another rocking horse to leave me a present all the best, Juice
4. hi to all, work depending, I am hoping to come along & will bring both bases with me. anyways put me down as a possible, Thanks Juice
5. Hi Robin, IMHO - I would suggest that for your purposes you try to get a bi-amped or tri-amped set-up regardless of how large or small the rig the difference in sound quality & separation is worth the extra £ & effort. of course you could just use the tops at smaller gigs as full-range Have sent you a PM with list of gear I have in storage - just bear in mind that for the 3KW MaxSys rig I have you will need a large van (we carried the PA & 6 pce band including all gear & all members in a hightop leyland DAF). If you don't have a van then I would look into PA hire with an engineer, then you have no up-keep costs, no depreciation & you don't have to set-up the rig! anyway hopefully there are some items on the list I sent that might help you build a PA - just drop me a PM. cheers, Juice
6.
I don't know if this is still up for sale, but i'm buying a PA for a jazz orcehstra i'm on the comittee of. Have you got any price guidelines? and also what other equipment is to come? mics etc? Robin
just discovered that I hadn't set up email notification on this thread , anyway PM on its way to you Robin..
7.
Thought they may be a bit cheaper though.....
+1 for that - I emailed the seller before they added the basses and told them that machinehead are selling these for £300 new and I think aguilar give a 3year warranty as well on GS cabs..
8. I think the GS210 was 28kg/62 lbs? - I can't find anything to confirm that as it is not on their products page... hope that helps though?
9. hi Chris, I would have loved this cab but, like you finances do not allow .... I have a Washburn D10CEB electro-acoustic guitar and some other misc stuff I will be looking to sell soon to fund a lighter rig as my trace is just to cumbersome. For now please have a bump on me and who knows if it doesn't sell I might be coming back to you in a couple of months time cheers - Juice

13. Hi, do you know if the peavey is fitted with Sheffield® TVX 1035-8 speakers?, I may be interested in converting it into a stereo 8ohm combo. any chance for a price for shipping also - thanks. Justin
14. I notice they don't include a case, I wonder how much the guys at hiscox would want to make a custom one to suit? certainly helps beat the New year blues eh?!
15.
Hi is the maxsys rig still available? yes im interested! Thanks Mark
hi it is still available - sorry for delayed response... juice
16. Well these three don't seem to be winning in the popularity stakes but they are my top 3; 1) John Myung - Dream Theater 2) Dave Brown - Santana 3) John Patitucci they have all (imho) got infectious groove & amazing technical abilities.
17. Bump... I am open to offers (within reason) - anyone interested in this rig? - will happily split if not. If anyone wants specs etc of any individual items just let me know. Thanks for looking... Juice
18. Hi to all, I need to sell some PA equipment due to loss of storage. Unfortunately the key-holder for the lockup has gone to spain property hunting so this is a feeler for now (I need to get rig out & fired up before I actually commit to sales). Primarily I would like to see if anyone is interested in the following FOH system; PEAVEY TRI-AMPED MAXSYS RIG: comprising; VSX Crossover CS 1000 power amp (MID) \ CS 200X "" "" =(HORN) > INC. Flight case CS1800G "" "" (BTMS) / PV PV8.5c (used as monitor amp/backup amp) Pair PV MAXYS Speakers (Tops) with 1205-8 Black Widow Driver and Horn (short throw) " " " " ( Bottoms) with 2x15" Black widow woofers per cab will also incl all cables we have for this set up. It is a shame to have to let this go but my latest band hire in sound engineer & hugh FOH system so apart from using as an overkill side fill this will sit gathering dust. Anyone who has heard one of these rigs will confirm they sound awesome (especially tri-amped) If I can't sell as a complete rig I may consider splitting if there is enough interest. (open to offers on both full rig & individual items). I am afraid that for now I am not able to consider trades. could be supplied with: Soundcraft Spirit Live 16 channel mixing desk with PSU to give you a great complete pa setup. lots of other items to follow (once I can get at them!!) let me know those who are interested, If you have any questions I'll do my best to answer (although please bear in mind I cant check things like dims at the moment ) Thanks for looking, Juice

Trace Elliot

Merton - I totally agree better late than never
Trace Elliot? Light-weight? Are they going to use neon pink colouring for them?
yeah and come with a short curly patch cable...
20. For those who love the green stuff:- I have been emailing TE to try and see if they would be producing a new 12" cab as I am look to replace my trace 15" with one & also asked if they had thought of a new BLX type product. I received the following in an email from them today "There are no plans to do a stand alone 12" cabinet, but we do have plans for some small lightweight but great sounding combos. Keep an eye on the website" Is it just me or does that sound like good news?
21. pardon the late post but I missed this thread somehow I love the sound of my PRS & look forward to hearing how you got on with your's
22. Perhaps its a long shot but I saw a Mesa boogie Walkabout Amp & Powerhouse Cab with No Reserve on ebay (starting £900) and perhaps you could buy then sell on the head? Item number: 170258615634 Its got a couple of days left to run. btw I am in no way connected to the seller so can't vouch for them.
23. pm'd
Final price drop before taking to tip.
