1. free bump for a great guy - from new owner of the orange combo.
  2. hi all, I need to aquire a Bass Pod XT and due to a lack of cashflow at the moment I have decided to sell my Washburn D10 CEB.... I love this guitar but it's just sitting in its hard case day after day. Spec: A spruce top; mahogany back, sides, and neck; and a rosewood fingerboard, plus a single cutaway design and an Equis Silver pre-amp for plugging in and fine-tuning your electric sound. Includes limited lifetime warranty. the guitar has a balanced di out and jack socket on the body so you can run clean di direct to the desk & a separate line to your backline. I found this meant I could run it through my bass rig as backline without colouring the foh sound. This is fantastic if you only play a couple of acoustic numbers a night and the rest is good old bass playing. when I bought this I a/b'd it against a £500 Yamaha and a £900 ovation and it blew the away acoustically but even more so amped. I would say the sound is deep round slightly gritty and very resonant. will take photos tonight but here is a stock shot for now.. to cover my purchase I need to raise £170 from this sale inc. Hardcase so I can get a pod XT, any funds left over will be donated to basschat. local pickup preferred but will ship in UK via City link at cost (will confirm actual cost on firm offer). Trades of a pod XT nature also welcomed thanks for looking, juice

  11.
Ah! It might be a surface mount component (SMT) in which much harder to fix without the correct equipment. Ring Line 6 would be my advice. Dave
Thanks for your help Dave I will keep trying to get through to line-6, I wonder if anyone has an email address for the repairs dept.?
  12.
It's an inductor. Is it broken, or just dislodged? PM me if you like and I'll have a go at fixing it. No promises though.
not really sure.... I would guess from looking that the base part appears to still be on the board & there is no holes through the board so i guess it mus be soldered on the top somehow? by the fact that I can see the wire coil which i presume was 'inside' the component it has come apart. I wonder if it would be normal to apply this silicon type blob? It is probably to small to photo but will try when my cameras charged up thanks for your help so far
  13. hi, I have a Line-6 DM4 distortion modeler which has packed up on me. As it was rattling I opened it up expecting to find a loose chip. What I have found is a component labeled 330fu which looks like a resistor of some sort with wire wound around a central core it appears as though it is covered in a silicone type blob. The position on the circuit board is marked as L1 on the main power in section. I would love to get it repaired but Line 6 haven't contacted me despite 2calls a week for 4 weeks! thanks for any help you can give juice
  14. Hi all, I've just had a call to go in to work if i get finished in time I'll hot-foot it over - otherwise I hope you all have a very good bash - maybe I'll turn my phone off next time!! take care, Juice
  15.
The 4 foursome..... or is that IVx4 ....... or 4 pics of my four IV's Whatever.... My 4 boys all together. The black one has its neck booked in with HG Thor to be defretted and epoxied at some point in the future, at which time it will get 'blackened' hardware.. Yummy!
those 4 are looking good Bob I'd be tempted to get sims led's fitted to the black one when you get it de-fretted - they could switch on with the active circuit, I keep thinking about this as a mod for my bass. Although not to everyones taste I guess.... juice
  16.

that makes me wish I had never sold my black eg4 when I moved to bass.. nice collection tho my friend I have been told they did an EG4 in seafoam green as standard so I might have to keep an eye out for one to match my custom bass. juice
  17.
looks lush - never really seen a sea foam outside of the Fender range - did you get it new? what are the pickups? is the third one significantly different? what would a Private Stock commission cost now?
Hi HS, I bought this bass from the original owner who commissioned it from PRS. 3 single coil pickups, 1 hum canceling. the 10 position selector means you can get a vast range of sounds from the 3-pick-up combination. I have been told that £4-5k would be a good starting price for a PS and that would also be the cost to replicate the bass I have should I need to.
  18. heres a couple of quick pics, bass is signed on the rear cover and back of headstock as this was a custom order.... PRS did do some production 5'ers, If I was to order a Private Stock it would be a 6 string based on the KL series guitar or maybe the modern eagle 2
  19. love the burst on your prs, think I will have too keep my eye out for one of these to partner my seafoam green prs I am gassing after a 5 string prs though so might have to wait for another rocking horse to leave me a present all the best, Juice
  20. hi to all, work depending, I am hoping to come along & will bring both bases with me. anyways put me down as a possible, Thanks Juice
  21. Hi Robin, IMHO - I would suggest that for your purposes you try to get a bi-amped or tri-amped set-up regardless of how large or small the rig the difference in sound quality & separation is worth the extra £ & effort. of course you could just use the tops at smaller gigs as full-range Have sent you a PM with list of gear I have in storage - just bear in mind that for the 3KW MaxSys rig I have you will need a large van (we carried the PA & 6 pce band including all gear & all members in a hightop leyland DAF). If you don't have a van then I would look into PA hire with an engineer, then you have no up-keep costs, no depreciation & you don't have to set-up the rig! anyway hopefully there are some items on the list I sent that might help you build a PA - just drop me a PM. cheers, Juice
  22.
I don't know if this is still up for sale, but i'm buying a PA for a jazz orcehstra i'm on the comittee of. Have you got any price guidelines? and also what other equipment is to come? mics etc? Robin
just discovered that I hadn't set up email notification on this thread , anyway PM on its way to you Robin..
  23.
Thought they may be a bit cheaper though.....
+1 for that - I emailed the seller before they added the basses and told them that machinehead are selling these for £300 new and I think aguilar give a 3year warranty as well on GS cabs..
