Just got a notification this was ending, expected it to go for the start bid or at most circa £100. Ended up selling for £208.

The SX Streamer ripoffs I've seen have rounder edges and the arch isn't nearly as pronounced as that, they have the Jazzman pickups and single bridge saddle configuration though. They also aren't string through body and have a different cavity/battery box layout.

Last time I had the JAN II one of the tabs broke off the first time I restrung the bass, the second one broke the next time!

Not sure RE screws, never used them on a Warwick but the Lic Ultralites are excellent. The Warwick tuners are licensed Gotohs made in house aren't they? Maybe quality has slipped, the plastic washers splitting is something you see on cheap tuners.

Just-a-nut in brass and Hipshot Ultralites (Licensed are great and pretty cheap) are the way I would go.

They do have micro amps, problem is they're extremely puny, not really gigworthy and pretty expensive. They also usually have comically cheap oversize cases which mimic a large valve amp, thus negating the main benefit of a micro head in the first place. Check out how tacky these look: Guitarists are definitely a weird bunch.

I went from a pair of Markbass Club 112 cabs to a single QSC K10.2 and didn't struggle, the key for me was using it as a wedge monitor so I could hear myself properly. If the bass isn't going through the PA then it's a different story.

You can also use a generic cheap bluetooth receiver to connect to your phone, I use one like this with my TC BH250 but I guess any will do: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265235324042?hash=item3dc141dc8a:g:uTYAAOSwbhVgyxNh I like that one as you can use a small male-male 3.5mm cable instead of the included adapter and velcro it to the side of the amp. I just use the head for home playing and more recently for full band rehearsals, was impressed with the smart eq when paired with a pretty dead sounding Warwick 4x10 at my last rehearsal as I could easily dial some nice mids back and cut boom without losing low end. At home I use it with a more flat sounding 1x10 which sounds great with everything at 12 o'clock.

No issues with the aux in volume on my TC BH250, can go uncomfortably loud.

Excellent stuff thanks. I fractured my left clavicle earlier in the year and while it's normally fine I can feel it after a 3hr rehearsal playing my Sire which is 11.5lbs, my backup bass (a Cort C5P) is 8.6lbs and I can play that all day. Will be starting more physio soon but I've had me eye on a lighter active J 5er for a while.

There's also the Warwick Gnome 208 cab which I assume is the same as the TC, 4ohm though which might be preferable if you're using a single cab with a 200w micro head. Peavey also do one but only in combo format as far as I can see. Was also looking at the Warwick Gnome 110 as a possible partner for my EA 110 (unfortunately may have to temporarily go back to using backline) but this seems to only go down to 90hz, surely not particularly usable for anything other than home practice or acoustic jams? EDIT: Does the Elf 208 still have Faital drivers? Think they originally did but no mention of it on their site, would be a shame is there's been a quiet spec downgrade.

Your eyes must be failing you here, that Squier has had a new nut (which seems to be cut correctly) and a 4 string bridge. Our bizarre friend would have just ground new slots in the existing saddles (probably using a sparpened soup spoon) and reshaped the nut (possibly with the same spon, who knows?) to barely accept 4 strings. Also the tuners are all at acceptable angles and the control knobs are all the same colour.
