  1. Uhm.. where? I don't see this at the bottom of the page? Apple/browser issue or am I just braindead?
  2. Considering selling both my lovely Alleva's. I am lucky to have owned and still own many great basses so the slightest and most of all personal preferences make a difference: I concluded I like a flatter radius better. Olympic white (nitro) Alleva Coppolo LG5 Classic Supreme Limited Edition built in 2010 for the 2011 Namm Show, alder body, one piece maple neck, exotic rosewood board (quite likely Jimmy-wood) with dots and bindings, matching headstock, 21 frets, 34", 60's spaced homegrown AC Pickups and pre amp, 10" radius, +/-19mm spacing AC vintage bridge, Hipshot ultra light tuners, 4,6 kgs. Some signs of playing wear and some dents at the bottomside of the body. Has a thin shim in the pocket: can do without but I like it better this way. Plays great with low action and mighty fat/low mid focused sound with more brightness than one may expect from 'normal' rosewood: 'rich overtones' as one may call it. This is quite as vibrant as a great Fender early '60s 5 string Jazz Bass would be, and then some. Trades considered with Alleva Coppolo 5 strings with 12" radius at least, Stenback 4 or 5, Sadowsky 5 string Jazz Bass maple board early unchambered series (90's produced), Ken Smith 6 string (19mm spacing), early sixties Fender Jazz Bass or Precision bass, Steinberger XL5 wide bridge, Fodera 5/6 string maple board/19mm.
  3. I’m quite confident there are 99 luftballons in the case.
  4. Great seller & bass: grab it while you can!
  5. Yes, surprises me too. But the seller isn't reacting as it seems.. this doesn't help either... or it is sold already...
  6. Steinberger XL2A from 1987. Playing wear but technically fully functional and complete with 'flipper' and battery compartment cover. No case. Plays like a dream sounds like a.. Steinberger, which is much closer to a Jazz Bass, Precision Bass and Music Man Stringray than you might think. Upgraded with EMG HBSC pickups and Haz Labs 2 band EQ (a €450 upgrade). Original pickups and pre amp work flawlessly too: make your choice or we make a deal with both! This is the real 'graphite composite' deal. Substantially different than the later 'Hohner B2's' and 'Spirits' (with no doubt much much much better: these original Steinbergers are fantastic.) Shipping well packed anywhere at costs.
  7. Ah… that was supposed to be Michael Manson!! My bad!!!
  8. Absolutely. One of the best. Guys like Sharay Reed and Michael Manring can't be wrong...
  9. Perfect 1996 Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe completely original with John Suhr pickups and pre amp, hard shell case and case candy. This is the bass that Sharay Reed and Michael Manson (a.o. George Duke) made furore with. No isues: everything works 100%. Very little fret or playing wear Scale 34" String spacing +/- 18mm (adjustable) Weight 4250gram (kitchen scale) Bodywood Ash Fretboardwood Morado (I think)
  10. It is a satin finish so I think it is a satin series
  11. Perfect Sadowsky NYC PJ5 Verdine White Satin from 2018. Built in NYC at Roger’s custom shop. Hardly played/like new complete with soft case, certificate and thank you note from Roger the man himself! Olympic white Chambered alder body 8,33lbs(3,4kgs!) Neck maple with thin matte nitro finish Scale 34” String spacing 19” Fingerboard morado, radius 12”, nut width 1,875” Pickups Sadowsky humcanceling Pre amp Sadowsky with VTC
  12. Another unscripted clip which might give a better impression of the sound per pickup. Sandberg S1 6'93.mp4
  13. Short and awkward demo of the Sandberg S1 recorded with no EQ, effects or compression directly through my Focusrite 2i2. Film op 24-04-2021 om 14.27.mov
  14. Sure. But haven’t recorded anything yet.
  15. Yes still got it. Compared with Sadowsky’s... well... aa much as I am a Sadowsky fan and user.. the build quality, woods used and construction (neck through!) are flawless. The playability is great and the sound is comparable a tiny bit with an average Sadowsky Modern bass but sweeter highs and warmer/fuller on the bass side. I make this comparison since you ask but it is a hard thing to do right. I really like a lot of this S1. I alao have a Fodera Anthony Jackson 6 ‘90 which I love too and prefer since it has 19mm spacing but soundwise, they are different instruments too, the Sandberg S1 is at least as ‘fat’.
  16. Thanks for asking: Bartolini pickups, fretboard ebony, through-neck maple with hard wood stringers, body I think is mahogany. The weight is 4300 on my kitchenscale. Strining spacing is 17,5 but adjustable. I can include a generic solid hard case.
