  1. My thoughts exactly. Looks like a stunner
  2. Nitro can be a pain in the backside with properly ventilating and drying or so I've heard. Anything I've ever made from wood (albeit money boxes and a small set of drawers in woodwork at school) have all been dyed and oiled - piece of proverbial piddle.

  4. Want to get this shifted in the next week or so, so will accept any reasonable offers to collect.
  5. very tempted to go but no one to go with Anyone from Birmingham fancy making the trip down with me?
  6. It's finally done!?!? I'm looking forward to seeing that 👍🏻
  7. Mine finally came yesterday- so far so good 👍🏻 haven't had a chance to donmuch fiddling yet, but I like how it can go from so subtle its hardly noticeable with everything at 7/8 to OTT with everything at 4/5.
  8. The price ruins it IMO
  9. This one was mine and I can assure you all it is marvellous! If it wasn't for me needing money to put into the Rickenbacker fund, I would still have it.
  10. I recognise that pickup!!! Looks lovely. I love the oil finish and I agree - no pickguard is the way to go here.
  11. The big pre-uni gear cull has hit hard my friends. Up for sale is my Fender Rumble 500 Head. Owned since new but now have no need for it as I have no cab and am going to Uni. Awesome sounding bass amp with 500w of power and weighs basically nothing. Sounds great and super loud. Currently without bass cab, so no real need for this. Will trade for a semi acoustic/335-style electric guitar. Comes with gigbag and UK delivery included. Anyone is welcome to try it out in Castle Bromwich - just bring a cab as the Orange below had to be sold too. Orange Cab sold!!! Fender Head - £260 inc. P&P
  12. Up for grabs is my Epi Thunderbird Classic in Arctic White with Epiphone hardcase. Bought this on a whim wanting to be Jared Followill but the sound is a bit dark and bass-y for me. Plays well and doesnt dive as much as people would have you believe. Full specs are here: https://www.gak.co.uk/en/epiphone-thunderbird-classic-iv-usa-pickups-alpine-white/57334?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI457fxf3y2AIVMCjTCh324QNGEAQYASABEgIcDPD_BwE The basses set you back about £389 these days, and the cases a further £99. Bag a bargain! Trades wise I would accept part ex's for an electric with some cash my way - especially looking for decent Telecasters of the Squier variety. I'll send pictures on request. Tah. Price drop - £250 for the bass, £30 for the case or £275 together collected from B36 Birmingham.
  13. Niall bought my Seymour Duncan pickup from me. All went smooth as a babies you know what and he even went to the effort of giving an update for where the pickup was going - great bloke. Deal with confidence.
  14. thats fupping gorgeous you shouldn't even need my luck to sell it. Out of curiosity, what do they call that shade of green?
  15. if my memory serves me correct they are D'addarios - hard to tell which ones as chrome/nickel/steel all look the same to my eyes
  16. I wish I mever sold mine now 😔 I might get some more and put them in my jazz, then sell on the SDs that are in there at the minute
  17. Sorry if this is the wrong place or if this has already been covered, does amyone know of any West Midlands-based luthiery courses? The kind of thing you turn up for a few hours each week and learn a new thing on how to make, set up, maintain, repair, etc. instruments? It is something I want to get into learning, and while there are a plethora of online guides that covers pretty much everything, I find nothing beats actually seeing someone do it and talk you through it. Cheers, HB
  18. the 60s Jazzmaster is a bit of me, even if I'm hopeless with guitar 😅 Will be interesting to see how they price up to other US made Fenders, especially the non-standard and AVRI stuff.
