1. Well I'm moving to Macclesfield at the weekend if that shaves any distance off?
2. Stockport near Manchester
3. Bought this a couple of months ago because I wanted a shortscale, in the mean time I've picked up a Hofner Verithin and having quite a cull. Great bass, very p bass like in tone, this is the one I most want to keep out of the 3 selling at the moment, lovely finish, racing stripes, string thru body just fantastic. No gig bag, collection preferred but will ship Price £500 no trades please
4. Right having a fresh start, been gigging with my new bands, buying and selling lots trying to find what I need, apparently what I needed was my Matamp back and to just continue using the 2 basses that have seen me right for many years. This is a 1981 Tokai (lawsuit) Hardpuncher in a sorta Candy Apple Red but it's got a slight sparkle to it in the right light. Couple of dings on it but it's over 30 years old, definitely played in. Doesn't come with a gig bag and would prefer collection but will ship if needed. No trades Price £500 no trades please
5. Got this in a trade a couple of months ago and I maintain it's the best p bass I've ever played, I've used it on a couple of gigs but since getting it I've not played my Overwater much and it seems silly that I want a bass for that zingyier rock sound and I'm not using the best bass I've ever owned for it just on the mind set of every bassist needs a P. Comes with a spare hipshot De-tuner currently not fitted but can be if you aren't confident with it. Also has all the fender bumf and the 2nd neck plate with the dual FF. It doesn't have the Foo Fighters gigbag but will come with a gigbag. Price £550 no trades please
6. Thing is this 2x12 is so loud, well the GT200 is SO loud and the 2x12 can take it the 8x10 just isn't needed and I'm feel old I've not plugged into the 8x10 now for nearly a year, a lot of that was due to no amp head though.
7. Yeah the new GT200 and 2x12 is really making me question the 8x10 and B-15 thinking of selling all of that and just having the Matamp, but god damn I love that B-15 for low level things.
8. Bump Look how nice it is on its side
9. Mine Matamp GT200 Mk2 (Custom) Matamp Neo 2x12 Matamp 8x10 (Most definitely not Neo) 1970's Ampeg B-15n Also have a 4w Matamp sat on top of a Matamp 4x6 at home but it's just for practice.
10. Sat on the 8x10, still debating if I should sell this.
11. Got this in a trade recently for a steal of a price, thought it might replace my Radial Bassbone but I don't need the amp sounds this does. Looks like this Includes box, instructions etc Has an issue, sort of, technically you can use this with 1 bass and have 6 sounds instead of 2 basses with 3 sounds each, occasionally bank b won't work with input a, it's just a bit crackly etc, it doesn't strike me as a fault fault maybe something that's an issue with the design, either way the pedal works perfectly on everything other than this but occasionally does this issue (but as I say only an issue occasionally and if you're using bank b with input a) Selling for the price I paid because that is the basschat way. Price is £75 plus shipping of £10 firm, no offers, no ifs, no buts etc etc
12. The 400w prototype pumps out 540w clean before you introduce any distortion to it so if you're buying it you need to have some serious cabs to take what is going to come out of that amp.
13. Well it's likely going to cost you more than £1500 for a new GT200 the list is £1799 but if you start comparing to second hand ones you can pick them up around £1200 but generally only the MK1 models. Also SVT's are not as loud as the GT200 and I've had a Mesa 400+ also not as loud as a GT200
14. Man that Soundman needs to be shot, about as far away from the Matamp sound as possible, suppose to be expected when he ignored it.
15. To not blow a speaker you need to be running 2 8x10s with the 400w'er
16. These are coming from the Chinese factory, still excited to try them, I can't decide between them either I did originally like the Coronado but the Starcaster is getting nicer and nicer
17. In case anyone cares I got this gig
18. Bought this recently along with a load of other pedals and between my house move this month and a lack of use (I was trying to supplant my 442). Now apparently this is a blem model but I can't see anything than a slight bump in the paint near one of the knobs (i've tried to photograph it) Absolutely amazing filter with a load of features Blurb from the website Once again we are knocking world of filter pedals off its axis. Autowah, envelope filter, step filter, random sample/hold filter, even a pixelated envelope filter. This one does it all. After a year in development we present The Prometheus DLX. An analog filter with digital control. We made sure to not build in any artificial limitations. The filter sweep goes above and below normal guitar frequencies, and works well with other instruments such as bass and synthesizers. Select between lowpass, bandpass and highpass filters, and virtually unlimited ways to manipulate them. We’ve taken the mad science of the original Prometheus and multiplied it, adding features that not only increase the sonic possibilities, but also make it easier to use. The DLX is a re-imagined Prometheus that uses all the knowledge we gained from The Quasar DLX, and our experience making the best filter pedals in the world. We also added some improvements. More resonance? Yep! Tap tempo? You got it! For even more headroom the DLX will operate at 18 volts. There’s even an internal switch to add a dry signal blend to the bandpass filter. (See, we love you bass players too!) While the options are nearly infinite, we made sure to keep things simple enough so that the average guitar player could figure them out in a few minutes. The Prometheus DLX has nine basic functions: Analog envelope - forward and reverse. Step - tap tempo step filter based on 7 LFO shapes. Trigger LFO - tap to trigger one LFO cycle. Manual LFO - Manually control LFO speed. Warp LFO - tap tempo LFO speed with wave shape warp. Pixilated Envelope - sample/hold envelope control. Envelope Trigger - Envelope triggers LFO Envelope->LFO manual - Envelope drives LFO speed. Fixed sensitivity. Envelope->LFO - Envelope drives LFO speed. Variable sensitivity. In each of these settings, the WARP control and TAP/HOLD serve different purposes to get the most out of each effect. The expression pedal input can be used with any non-envelope functions. Depending on the shape & mode settings the expression pedal has a different effect. For example, in trigger LFO mode the LFO shape is mapped to the expression pedal. Select the ramp wave for a “standard wah” effect. Choose the saw wave for a reverse wah. The triangle/square wave is especially strange. We also made major improvements to the step filter in the DLX. We not only added tap tempo, but the underlying LFO rate is locked to the step rate. If the step rate changes, there is no need to readjust anything to keep the same arpeggiated pattern. The warp knob is used to adjust the ratio of the step rate and the underlying LFO between 1:1 and 1:1.5. This ensures that there are no redundant settings. 19. Absolutely love my Pawn shop edition, it's definitely got that p bass vibe but I love the super thumpy nature of a shortscale bass with flats.
20.
Ah, so they'd pinch it, realise there's an issue and dump it somewhere... (like I said, I'm a miserable sod. I can't even see the pictures as they're blocked in work.)
Fine with that, I think they did that with the last 2 that were stolen as we recovered everything but. It will not keep me comforted at night to know someone is out there playing my stolen amps, I'd rather they were useless to everyone except me. Also, it's pretty cool it's got a key on it
21. Can be done, isn't easy but can be done. You can do one better,m they can do a key fob like a car that will turn the amp on and off, though i'd recommend that for standby and on over power on and off
22.
Just to be the miserable sod that I am. What's to stop someone pinching the amp and replacing the key switch with a normal on/off switch?
a 700v plate voltage, 240v current and the fact all the wires are the same colour coming in and out of it. I'm not saying its impossible to get round, but it's one more obstacle and the average thief shouldn't have a clue about it.
