do the lights respond normally (so the mute button lights when unmuted, backswitch is green when turned on)? if so I'd say pre-drivers f***ed. Else the internal powersupply could be toast.

I was wondering what would best replace the current setup: Custom JB going into Pod X3 Live (no amp modeling used) going into Trace Elliot GP7 150 with an Ashdown Mag410T Im happy with the trace but the Ashdown is a backbreaker. I need something lighter, and not necessarily 4x10". I would ideally like something about the same size but lighter or just a bit smaller but maintaining balls. I'm playing Queens of the Stoneage like music.

For some it just seems cool to date a musician.. until they find out they have a love for music and they have to fit around that

not knowing it's only there for a) looks B ) protecting your body finish from scratchware (scratchplates can be replaced, paint is more expensive to have redone)

If you would want a new bass look out for a Fender Precision Lyte.. the name says it all! It's LIGHT!

I kinda stick to a 3 basses rule for myself atm, because I'm a student I can't justify having a lot of gear. 1 gigging bass, 1 backup, and my first bass to round it off.

biggest downside to that amount of basses must surely be insurance costs!

mm had that with my EBS multidrive.. I could have used that now however I'm not gonna buy a new one now!

My basses combined are now around 2000 pounds worth of expenses... however I bought a bass for 790 pounds which is estimated to be worth around 1200!

I play on 3 different parts myself, all for tone! Near the bridge for a tight sound, which needs a bit less low. In between both pickups (on my jazz) for my most common sound Pluck with my thumb ON the neck for some nice roots (e.g. the 'quiet' parts in Pet by A perfect circle)

Unfortunately I don't have a great cam but here goes A 'van der End' JB, made in 1994 (so it's 14 years old for those who don't wanna do some maths) Custom van der End electronics and preamp Alder / Ash sandwiched body Maple neck and fretboard Hipshot Ultralite hardware I've yet to have the nut replaced, because the current one is a bit too wide (after 14 years of use that's not too bad though)
