  1. Made a new thread before I saw this one so, I'll share here too - this lil guy arrived today. Nice valve drive from NL, will be using it more to just warm up a signal when going direct.
  2. This little guy arrived earlier today and I'm already in love! It runs a 6AS6 valve and sounds great as a drive, a boost, etc but I reckon I'll use it more as an always-on pedal when going direct to add a bit of warmth. Ordered from Netherlands on Thurs and on my doorstep Saturday morning, not bad! https://www.singularaudio.nl/shop/tubedrvepedal/
  3. I'm trying to think of an example on the contrary... You might have a point 😆
  4. You don't need to be a master of 'online etiquette' to understand saying 'Insert Name Remembered' 100% suggests they've died, in any context. I don't see a single ''histrionic'' response, until the 'world gone mad' comment, that is.
  5. The world has gone mad because a few people pointed out how the old headline was clickbait and strongly implied the bloke had died? Time for a lie down mate. It's going to be ok.
  6. Blimey, what a choice of title for this thread 😂
  7. It's quite possible, just a first for me to open a box and see that happen to a pedal! All sorted now. Seller agreed to refund fair and square, I'll be sending it back tomorrow. Shame as I was looking forward to trying it out! I became aware of them a decade+ ago through Amos of Tesseract's rig.
  8. "Refund Request Approved" Well that was quick and painless...
  9. Naa EHX haven't made these for a few years now! Fingers crossed from here.
  10. Yep, the listing included about 8 photos of the owner holding it, none of this ink smudging. Even got a photo of the custom pedalboard attachment underneath so it's definitely this pedal. That second point could very well be true - if so, going ahead and shipping it to a buyer is pretty despicable haha. I'm doubtful of anything happening in transit, the box is in good nick and the protective layers that wrapped the pedal show no ink, no smudges etc. My partner is adamant that it was damaged before shipping.
  11. Yeah I'm speaking to Reverb right now to see what can be done. Just thought I'd share as it's bizarre!!
  12. It's 'like-new' in the listing photos, this has happened during transit. But the box and whatnot shows no sign of ink. I'm wondering whether it was damaged before postage...
  13. Just received this in the post (NOT from a Basschat seller).... Any idea what would cause this kind of damage?!? The photos on the listing showed a 'like-new' pedal, and there's no smudging on the packaging at all. Not happy ☹️
  14. Damn that went quick. You can add *SOLD* to the title to close this thread
  15. *NOW £30* Tested and fully working. +£6 for UK postage. Message me if you have any questions
  16. Hey, any pics? EDIT: just seen your other post
  17. Nice one thanks!
  18. Hi there. Is that a chip or dust to the right of the 'A side' switch? Interested potentially
  19. Sorry to hear about the work situation, all the best with your sales and the future.
  20. Oh I absolutely know what you mean about valves - I work for a major valve amp brand. It's definitely getting harder to source them.
  21. If you're still able to use it then I don't think it counts as obsolete. In the video, he gives an example of a Mackie interface that relied on a connection that became defunct, and Mackie stopped providing support for the product, so it became a brick.
  22. An interesting video on gear obsolescence and what we can all do to avoid falling into the trap of buying gear designed to become obsolete / unusable. One particular quote (paraphrased): "So what can we do to avoid despair of musical equipment becoming obsolete bricks? One is, buy pedals that don’t require a computer hookup." I've always felt this way, and only tolerated computer hookup with ONE pedal: my Future Impact v1 synth. This is purely because while I loved what it could do, it seemed to lack that many simple useable 'synth-bass' sounds straight out of the box and half of its capability is inaccessible without a computer and access to the patch database. I half worry that one day I will lose my 99 custom patches due to memory failure or lose the ability to hook it up to a computer, rendering it closer to a toy than musical gear. Since buying it back in 2019, I've bought zero pedals that require computer hookup.
  23. That makes sense, thanks for the info - would love to pick up one of these one day
  24. Very nice! Didn't realise there were different versions of this, there's a GWB205 in Bass Gallery for £900. https://thebassgallery.com/collections/all/products/ibanez-gary-willis-gwb205-fretless-bass
  25. After selling this to you, I've found myself needing a DI again, maybe I'll buy it back haha! 🤣
