  2. Hi, I'll screenshot the error message next time I try and log in, but I may not even bother - 6 years of technical issues, might just sell the thing once and for all. Definitely not incorrect username etc, I made a whole new account as resetting old passwords is impossible (reset link just takes you to the homepage.. )....
  3. Anybody know if the global directory via the manager down? I can log in at the auraplug fidatabase2 but can't log in via the manager.
  4. Appreciate the response, looking more into the Morningstar UI and it seems fairly straight forward. Thanks for the help as always
  5. Apologies if this has been answered before, it's difficult to dig up answers in this thread due to the size. Planning to get a Morningstar controller of some kind (MC3 or 6) to help navigate through patches, etc. I'm running firmware v3.6 on the OG model. I'd like to program the MIDI controller to select specific patches via 'Program Change'. I'm new to MIDI controllers, I get the concept of sending a CC value to change banks (CC90 and CC91 respectively for the F.I.) but I'm not sure how to approach the first few options that have names rather than CC values. The user interface for the Morningstar seems to have a box where you type the CC value, would you simply type the CC name here instead? Thanks!
  6. Origin Effects Cali76 Compact Bass compressor - *SOLD* Amazing bass compressor, been on my board for 6 years now, time to move it on. I've removed the Velcro from underneath as it had gotten pretty tatty, and the chassis has been given a good clean. Two minor marks/dents - one below the footswitch, one on the Ratio knob - both shown in photos. Message if you have any questions
  7. I've only ever tried La Bella Deep Talking flats tbh, found them to be well balanced.
  8. Stingray with flats is my favourite, my particular Ray just doesn't sound right with rounds.
  9. I bought this recently but my plans have changed and would rather unlock some cash. In great condition, price includes postage. No original box but will be boxed up securely. About: Convenient passive volume pedal that can also be used as an expression pedal. Message me if you have any questions.

  10. FINAL PRICE DROP on the MXR, grab a bargain
  11. These are underrated! The low and high controls are super handy on bass 👌
  12. I don't think that's really what anybody said. A few people have simply noted that the preset switching seems to be a weaker aspect of the pedal. Not a showstopper by any means.
  13. Oh yeah absolutely - the simplicity of the MXR is a plus for me personally. Not tried the C4 but I've had a Future Impact for years and really like all the deep diving you can do, however the immediacy of the MXR is really cool. I loved the EHX Micro Synth for the same sort of reason.
  14. It's just another thing to buy and make room for. The solution I outlined would work better for me.
  15. That's my only gripe at the moment too, I may get one to 'set and forget' for a more generic synth sound, and then use my Future Impact to able scroll through more specific sounds easily.
  16. Would love to hear your initial opinions or maybe even a comparison with the FI, C4, EHX Micro synth, if you have any
  17. Multiple C4 synths up for sale this morning, eyes are on the MXR synth, I'm assuming!!

I noticed this too 😅 not just C4s too!  Give it a month or so and there'll be a smattering of MXRs ;)

      I'm not selling my C4

      Might sell my FI though

      C4... pah!

This man went one better.  No wonder he looks so smug.

  18. Oh right you are... I'm not sure why I remember having to relocate them from elsewhere when updating the firmware hmm... My mistake! And yes it's easy enough to tinker with, my FI hasn't left my board in 6 years of owning, shows how much I really love what it does! My 1 minor gripe has always been on the topic of useable stock sounds, and so I really love that the MXR has gone for a bunch of classic, useable synth sounds straight out of the box
  19. Because those kinda sounds should be the default on the FI 😉 I was sad that the 3.6 firmware update (most recent one I've bothered with) removed the original Deep Impact emulations from the default 99 patches and mostly consisted of tech demoes that weren't so useable. I think I've replaced basically every default patch with one of my own or one from the database. You're basically forced to use the editor to replace all the crazy 'out-there' sounds with simple useable bass sounds, whereas the new MXR has foregone all the ''look what I can do'' type patches for the most desirable, useable synth bass sounds! In my opinon, that's the only critique I have of the FI - more simple, useable stock sounds necessary
  20. Oooh I've been considering rebuying an EHX micro synth for quick flexibility but this seems like it can get the same filtered tones without the huge size (I dont care to use the micro synth as a fuzz-like effect with open filters like many others. The filter section is where the magic is for me.)
  21. Another price drop to the Micro Amp+! Open to offers.
  22. Oldish comment but this is interesting, as Janek has also said the opposite in a recent board build haha - how he used to use delay for solos etc but switched to reverb as he doesn't have to get the tempo right etc. He has both reverb and delay on his board at the moment
