Its Eden WT800 head, from 1996 and has got a 20th anniversary sticker on the bottom and all. I bought it from funk assassin here on the warwick forum, about a year and a half ago. It wasn't in great shape then but i've since had it serviced (it needed the bridge mode re-enabled and headphone out repaired) by the bass gallery and had new tubes installed in the preamp and it sounds amazing. Reason for sale is its just too damn big and loud for the gigs i play, which atm are few and far between. I'd also like a change and am looking into a preamp + power amp combo. Pics here: http://picasaweb.google.com/squirrelguru/E...feat=directlink Comes with rack mounts + screws. SOLD Any questions please feel free to ask! Hey, sorry probably should have been more specific in my post! I've received a PM about this as well, here was my reply:
I bought it second hand about a year and half ago, at the time nothing was wrong visually and it played fine (i wouldn't have bought it otherwise) a year down the line i wished to tweak the rod for some new strings but it didn't move. The neck has no warping, no twists, no signs of cracking looks perfect and plays perfectly, like i said its just that the truss doesn't move. - i'm more than happy to let any one inspect the bass as well if they are in any doubts. Its kinda thrown me into a kinda dilemma as i'm not too sure what is a far price on it, and i don't want to sell a bass in good faith that actually has some serious issues - short of getting a pro to look over it that is but i've not had the time. As such i am really open to offers on this one and if the price is right (no sure what is the right price yet, again sorry) then i'm more than happy to sell.
Cheers,

Ok so i've heard back from jorg schroeder. So the 1215 has more lowend than the 1212L, sounds fat, punchy and is very articulate. It sounds perfect in every way i think i made a choice on what cab i'll be getting, just need to wait till i have the funds to order one now! The first batch shipped last week, so i gather feedback will be coming in soon enough via forums and what not.
No problem. Im surprised there are any in this country yet and as they have only just come out. Are you sure it was a 1215L?
If thats the case it probably wasn't a 1215, it had a 15" in it though as was about the same size, maybe a 1515? - i'm no expert and was a while ago since i tried it. This may complicate things as i could go with a 1212 and be confident, or take a risk with the 1215L......the plot thickens a little bit. I'll send some emails direct and ask em in this case. I'll post what i find out.

Cheers for the advice. Looks like the 1212 sounds like a great option, I think i might need to go back and try and test them again. Anyone here have a 1215, or is it mostly 1212's? As it stands i think the 1212 will suit my needs perfectly, although the 1215 intrigued me, after these really positive comments i don't think i'll be needing the extra beef, as the punch from the 1212 looks like its gonna blow me away! As for where i tried the cabs, i'm really bad with this i tend to just try them and make notes on the cab. I've gone and tested so many that i really don;t remember the locations only that every cab i tried after the schroeders just didn't compare imo. Sorry about that!
I will be very jealous if you get a 1215L ;-). I got a 1212L a few months ago and while i love it im more a 15" man and so i want to sell my 1210R and get a 1215L. Ive got a 1210R and a 1212L and i can tell you both will handle low B without braking up IME. The 1212L more so but of course its not going to be the same as a bigger cab but i could get a nice growl from the low B on my 55-01 with my 1210R. I think because its not a thick, muddy low end you tend to get more of the note coming through (or something like that.) ES, can i ask where you got to try the 1215L?
Hey, been lurking here quite a bit, i'm looking into getting a cab for my Eden WT 800 its an older model on bridged only does 800watts at 8ohm. After considering and trying almost every cab under the sun i've decided that i think a Schroeder is the way forward, mainly due to weight, cost and the sound (all pretty much perfect imo!) Anyway my choice comes down to the 1212 and the 1215. I'm torn as i like the the deep bass from a 15, but i like the response of a 12. I'm lost as to the effect of the 15 will have, and if the 1215 cab will still be as responsive as the 1212(within reason). My tests on them both couldn't determine what would happen as the volume level was more for tone than anything else. I play a huge range of stuff and i really like the idea of a 15'' speaker, but clarity and response is more pressing for most of the stuff i do. Oh both would be the lighter versions. Any advice on this or even better experience with these cabs? NB by the deep bass i'm not after a dubtastic bass but i like a bit of bass and low mid kick to my tone, and for my low B to be well defined and not too thin sounding!

Hey, i'm looking into getting a pair of cabs to go with my Eden WT800 head. I plan on running it in stereo, so the output is 2x 400 watts and 4ohms. So i'm looking into getting a pair of 2x10's or maybe even a pair of 1x12's. I've not got oddles of cash to throw at this maybe £600-£800 at the most. I'd quite like the cabs not weigh a tonne each, but with 2 the portability won't be that bad. I play a range of stuff from metal, jazz, funk, hiphop and even some experimental electronic stuff and drum and bass. I regularly play 5 string sometimes tuned down a step so handling the low notes is vital. Ilike a modern tone with a lot of growl (i play warwick basses), i'd rather have a well defined growl and punch than a fat oldschool tone. So far i've been looking into aguilar, epifani, warwick and phil jones(yeh not a 2x10 or a 112 but a 4x5). I've tried both 2x10s and 112s from each, but not tried a warwick 1x12. Phil jones i looked into the 4b cab. tbh all sounded great but i think thats down to the eden head. With the epifani i was looking into the preformance range and not the UL cabs as they are out of my price range! What are peoples experiences with those that i mentioned? and what would you guys recommend? I'm very open to suggestions of anything really, including brands, speaker combination and well anything! - the more info the better really as it'll help me make the more informed choice of cabs.

It works, it sounds good and its great way to bridge the gap between 4 and 5 strings. I also read somewhere that getting a left handed neck can help tighten up the B string so its more like a 35" scale but still playes like a 34", but this is a more drastic change that adjusting the nut.

The thumb has an odd balance, its doesn't hang the way a conventional bass would. I found you need to work with it to get comfy + a good strap. But even saying that not everyone gets on with it. Streamer and dolphins have exceptional balance imo completely different from a thumb(its a very unique bass).

I picked up a ex-display one a month back, not fully had a chance to test it fully but it has some really great sounds, especially from a multi-fx unit. Dunno if i'll ever get round to actually taking the time to sit down and actually use the it though as i have other effects units for synth and delay (akai head rush and korg G5) that do every i need really. So Steve i may have one up for grabs....

Streetlight manifesto's - somewhere in the between album or catch 22's on and on and on. Although i recently got into the human abstract and noctrune album really gets me pumped.
I think in my 4 years there it didn't rain once, must've been very lucky!! Will go check out the BoB videos - nice one for getting to the final! I only entered in my 2nd 3rd and 4th years - semi final, runner up, third place. When we were runner up we lost on a technicality of the whole band being the main people on the BoB committee so it would've looked mighty odd had we won... Is it still held in Langwith or have they sorted somewhere better for it?
Yeh we were very unlucky with woodstock. They held the heats in goodricke hall then the final in vanbrough. So much better venues than langwith imo. Due to a few issues we kinda pissed off bandsoc quite a bit, but URY really liked us, besides the huge amount of swearing from the lead singer. I know what you mean about the band soc committee stuff many people are really suspicious of the whole thing!
