I noticed some action Cinematic tracks up on that site................... A whole new ball game as far as panaramic sound staging, width, height and depth are concerned. Not carving out loads of bottom end, and very careful use of panning, comps and eq's, while still keeping a multitude of dynamics, and Orchestral Instrument placement very much still intact...... Lalo Shiffrin is an amazing composer, all those cop themes and scores had so much intrigue in the music, with his Jazz back ground certainly shining through. He could plot and score to the picture with so much ease. Dirty Harry live suite [Not a great sound recording] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3UF29oQ9bM His Big Band concert [2006] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiVgB3TYxks Garry

Mr Blunt now has his name in the good old cockney rhyming slang book................ After necking a few sherbats, that Mozart geezer could be a right old James. Garry
Sorry for late reply not seen this one till now, yeah its the Sonar x2 producer version, its a great DAW with some really great effects and stuff, still just learning the basics. One thing that is doing my head in is I cannot figure out how to rewire Reason into it, its the Droctorex drum machine in Reason that's the problem. I will suss it in the end as I really like it as its simple and easy to add fills and stuff where required. Apart from that its great!
There is a really useful Sonar/Cakewalk tutorial channel up on Youtube now, well worth checking out.
NIce one Garry, I spotted this too. Unusual to see this being done like auditions... perhaps they see that they can avoid a fixers fee? I'm sure they'll be inundated.
It is unusual Jake, but does happen on the odd occasion if the band will be on stage. And as you say, possibly the fixing fee as well. Garry

I thought i would pass this on to Basschat. You would have to join up to Music Jobs Uk - But you could take just a months subscription to get the full details [This site is very useful anyway] Looks like they will looking for a Double Bassist for a West End show opening next year.
I tend to use Kontakt for anything DimPro would have been used for.
Yep, i use Kontakt to. But for someone on a budget, or no budget, the Dim Pro Synth at £15.00 can come in very handy - better sounds than the basic GM sounds that come with most DAW's. A bit of work with Eq and reverbs etc, you can make anything sound half decent. Garry
it looks great , is it easy (ish) to use , I am really struggling with midi stuff , the penny just wont drop , my sounds are currently made with a synth that I press the keys and make the sounds in real time , the programming stuff does my head in , is this a program that will help ? Ps I know that I should be able to use the keyboard as a midi controller , but I cant make it happen
Well it comes with a huge amount of pre sets, making things easier. What DAW are you using ? someone on BC will be able to help you with setting up your keyboard for sending and receiving MIDI, and channels on your DAW etc. Garry
....is driving me nuts. Trouble is, the customer support takes a minimum of 24 hours to respond to every question. I aks a question today, I get a response tomorrown that I cannot action until three days later which them doesn't work so I ask another question, wait another 24 hours and so on..... After this month's Composition competition, I realised I needed to up my game in terms of better VSTs. The thing is, I have a truckload on my PC that I have never even opened so I went back to IK Multimedia and the emailed me the Authohrisation Manager so I can access them but my PC just spits the damn thing out (my music PC is NOT on-line so I can't use the AM on-line, obviously but I also cannot open it in off line mode because it won't open. AAAAARGH!!) Another two hours of my life gone on uncooperative IT.
A no brainer deal going on for the next couple of days at Cakewalk. Easy installation, just a registration and a serial number. Seven gig of very, very useful all round sounds, and easy to work. Dimension Pro VSTi dropped to just fifthteen quid. Might be just what you need, rather than messing with the limited LE/Demo versions of the IK stuff.
