  1. PMT's website shows they have a silver one in stock for £199. I'm really tempted, just don't have any money at the moment
  2. Hmmmmm it's seeming the cheapest option is to get a second bronco, keep the neck and sell the rest
  3. Not sure off the top of my head, a post on TB suggested: Diameter: .465" - .470" (Call it 15/32") Depth: .600" Measured with a digital caliper.
  4. Part of me is tempted to spend £199 and get the SS Squier Jag or get another Bronco (the tuners do my nut though and i'd have to re-drill for better ones, which im sure i would muck up).
  5. I dont need to ask! I just royally screwed by buying two pedals from the states, paying for shipping and THEN receiving an invoice for £90! thats what's putting me off ordering from The Stratosphere. There's a beautiful JMJ Neck on there but if im looking at £400 all in, then i feel like its not a sound venture.
  6. Yeah, they dont sell mustang bass necks on their own unfortunately!
  7. For me, as for many others, it's John Entwistle. He changed the sound of bass forever and a big part of that is due to roundwound rotosound bass strings. His tone and playing made an indelible impact on everything after it and I don't think rock music would be the same without that partnership.
  8. Thanks for the suggestions! Yep seen a few on eBay from the States and I'm tempted to get the JMJ neck but for what it'll cost, I could just buy a used pj. allparts don't seem to stock them. I'm happy to play the waiting game with eBay as this one is gonna be a fun project
  9. Hi everyone, I just got myself a steal on a Fender PJ Mustang bass body, fully loaded with an upgraded switch. The problem is, now i need a neck! Google, ebay and Reverb dont seem to have any options in the UK. I've got a modified Bronco, and the neck does fit (kinda, needs some force and needs redrilling to realign the holes) but I like the bronco as-is and ideally want to keep it in tact. I've thought about buying one of the cheap squier SS basses, like another bronco or jag and taking the neck, as these can be had for well under £200 but ideally i'd want a Fender neck on it. Any ideas?
  10. Bit of an update on the arm rest. I bought one of these: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F123494027167 It's not perfect but it's close, shame it's so red though.

  12. Very recently acquired, I bought it mainly to demo for my YouTube, which I've done now. It's in New condition, no velcro or anything. £SOLD Inc UK postage, payment via PayPal gift/friends and family. Here's the vid
  13. Oh damn. I've got a svt210av and been looking for another one and also been looking for a SS head for home practice. This could be totally perfect. Any trades at all?
  14. I was running into the VT Bass, because I wasn't certain whether the speaker sim was present in the YYZ, but now you've cleared that up I may do another vid with just the YYZ
  15. I'm tempted but I'm gonna try and make an arm rest first. If that works, then I'll compare to the one I get from eBay. If it all turns out to be rubbish, then I'll weigh up whether it's worth sanding down
  16. Actually, I used to do that, but the early 2000s were different times. However whilst I'm waiting for the arm rest to arrive I might make a solution at home
  17. Just an update on this, the lack of cutaway on the bit where i would rest my arm is starting too P*ss me off, i remember feeling the same about a Tele I used to play. It rubs on my bare arm and irritates it but i've been spoiled with Jazz and Precision basses. So, I've actually ordered a cheap acoustic guitar arm rest like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282940457663 to see if i can basically create new, less steep, angle for my arm to rest on as i was thinking about sanding the bass down. Obviously i think if this works (probably with some modification) then i can have a solution that wont permanently affect the bass.
  18. @Al Krow it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, that's true but I feel it has less of an inherent mid--scoop than the Darkglass X7, but then again there are also less options for the crossover and EQ. I prefer the gain set to light Overdrive. But one thing to mention is that whilst I believe that the YYZ has some built in speaker simulation, I can't find anything that actually directly States it, rather just referencing "sansamp technology" so in this video the YYZ is also going into my VT Bass, so that will be influencing things to some extent.
  19. So I finally got a chance to play this and I put a quick video together with my Gibson LP DC Tribute bass played with a pick. It's my first time using a loop pedal so forgive the sloppiness. I'm really happy with it. It's pretty easy to find a sound I like, even with the most anti-geddy bass ever, but as well as it being easy to get a good sound, there's alot of tweaking you can do.
  20. Are you looking for any trades at all? I'd love this but just don't have the cash (it's a great price though)
  21. **please note, I am out of the country until 15th July and will post on my return** Höfner Hold on Tight Bass Overdrive and Preamp Guitar Effects Pedal. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class. There are 2 circuits inside, one of which holds the original sound of your bass guitar. With the Drive pot you can add the distorted sound to the clean signal with the help of the parallel electronic circuit. This means, by adjusting the Drive pot you can use the "Hold On Tight" pedal like a bass overdrive or a clean booster or a simple bass preamp with 2 channel equalisation. With this pedal you can really begin to explore and engage a greater variety of sounds. It gives you the opportunity to change your Höfner 500/1 bass sound to reflect other styles, letting you push your bass even further. With the 2 special diodes that this pedal uses, you can mix the bass sound, for example, to emulate what McCartney used on the Sgt. Peppers and Magical Mystery Tour Beatles albums. £SOLD Inc UK postage. Payment via PayPal gift/friends and family please
