  1. The Fishman Fission, as already mentioned. But also the t-rex quint machine....Thomann were knocking t-rex stuff out pretty cheap recently. I just checked: £78 on Thomann, thats like half the price elsewhere.
  2. Almost! Its a bit richer than surf. Its pretty vibrant in the flesh.
  3. DSM Noisemakers Sub-Atomic - £SOLD Inc UK postage Payment via PayPal gift/friends and family please
  4. Far more powerful than you'd think 15w should be and capable of some great dirty sounds. Comes with it's carry case. £sold collected from chesham, bucks. Payment via PayPal gift / friends and family please.
  5. I withdrew this recently and now it's back up again. I've got such a love/hate relationship with it. On one hand, I love the look and the tone. On the other hand, I'm pretty short and this bass is bloody massive compared to my short scale basses (see pics). It's just gotta go. I can let it go for £799 Inc UK mainland postage or £750 collected from chesham, bucks or I can deliver in person within a short radius for petrol money. Payment via PayPal gift/ friends and family please. Made in USA in 2009. This model was part of Gibson's 2009 Limited Run Series, with only 350 instruments initially made. This one is number 076. For those that don't know, the Grabber is pretty unique whereby it has a movable pickup you can slide closer to the bridge or closer to the neck for some variation in tone. This is a used guitar with some signs of wear. There is one long visible impression to the front of body as shown in pictures; minor scratches to pick guard and the rest of the body. No structural damages. There is some indentation where I had a Babicz Full contact bridge fitted, but I have replaced this with the original bridge. Please note that his guitar doesn't come in original Gibson case, however, a Gibson gigbag is included. I just got a short scale bass which I love so I'm gonna be listing more basses soon. It's got a thick and muscular tone that just powers through, it's so good, I sold my Flea Jazz (which I loved). I'm a pretty short guy and really want to make short scale basses work for me, so this one has to go. 7. No, I don't remember mine coming with any, but if they did, I lost them
  8. Awesome preamp that can go from clean to full on distortion. It takes 9v but internally charge pumps it up to 24v. This is the Regent Sounds Edition and is currently unavailable from them. £145 Inc UK postage payment via PayPal gift/friends and family please
  9. Yeah they work great together. When both on, it kinda sounds like a deeper version of the bridge pickup. For my bluesy punkish band I'm actually preferring the humbucker.
  10. I actually got this sorted just by using the Bronco neck......then just yesterday i picked up a Squier Musicmaster! The hybrid Mustang looks and sounds great now, i'm dead chuffed with how it turned out and ill get some pics up in a bit.
  11. It does! I'm liking it far more than when it was in my Pawnshop Mustang. I did a quick video. When I get the time, I'll do a proper one with decent audio.
  12. Oh damn it, that would have been perfect. It's not there anymore that I can see
  13. I'm so happy with it, and myself. There were lots of points where I thought "this is beyond me, I don't have a clue what I'm doing, or even if it will work" and even now I know I did a poor job with the wiring as it was crapping out on me until I took the control plate off and put it back on again. Having said that, not only does it all work, there's no noise and its probably going to be the most versatile Mustang bass I've owned. Still to do: White tip for the pickup selector. White Jazz bass knobs Badass-style bridge New strings. Fender Mustang bass decal I may also learn to ream the tuner holes so I can get some better tuners in there.
  14. So, I love Mustang, Musicmaster and Bronco basses. One reason is because I am more comfortable with short scale basses, the other is that I just love the aesthetic. Recently I saw a loaded body from a MIM PJ Mustang on eBay so bid and won. Also, whilst I love that the PJ Mustang has two pickups, they seem oversized to me and actually put me off a little. That's okay though as I've got a Fender Pawnshop Mustang that I ripped the pickup and pickguard out of so I could replace with a Nordstrand. Winner, winner, chicken dinner. Here was my problem, there's no neck. Turns out fender don't sell replacement Mustang necks either. Total pain, but it turns out the neck of my Bronco bass is almost a perfect fit! So, I had to fill and redrill the neck holes. Route a deeper cavity for the pickup, put shielding pain in the new cavity and wire it all together. It's a miracle it didn't just explode when I plugged it in. Also, the neck is a little wider than the pocket and has caused a little stress crack on the edge of the neck pocket. It's s shame but oh well. So, how does it sound? Great. The humbucker is deep and rich but still has articulation. The jazz pickup is tight and fast and selecting both sounds more like the jazz pickup but with extra depth.
  15. Withdrawn. I found the right truss rod wrench (which came with my Gibson LP DC Tribute bass) and now I'm much happier with the bass.
  16. I've been lusting after a yellow Tonebender for ages and having had most of the cheaper fuzzes Macaris have offered, it was finally time to step it up. Its the same price as the Colorsound Bass Fuzz, but I never could get that one to sit right in a mix. I did a review!
  17. You could be right, it's possible I just don't notice the disparity with other manufacturers. However, as an example, the EQD Plumes is $99 in the States and £105 on Andertons. The YYZ is $199 in the States but £250 in most places here. I'll agree, it's probably not such a big difference but it's still a bigger difference than with some other brands. It's still a great pedal. I feel its more of a principle here though. I could be looking at things wrong though and not taking certain things into account.
  18. I think I paid £170 for mine in the States (when you convert it from dollars) and that included the state tax. If the cheapest I can get it now I'm back at home is £230, and that's from Thomann in Germany then I think something must be up. I also bought the q-strip whilst in the US last year. Think I paid around £160 (from Prymaxe, might have been b-stock), the cheapest I can see it is £270 now. As far as I'm concerned, Tech21 can charge as much as they want for their products but what I dislike is the massive hike in price when not buying in the US.
