This is the opening you can see in a cab, which is mostly circular, but can have any shape and can be anywhere or even everywhere. The Promethean just above is a front loaded bass reflex construction, as you can see below the speaker a rectangular opening. This opening permits to lower the size while still having the same amount of bass (theoretically as you will notice a difference in the sound reproduction).

No, this Nexus has an epoxied burl imbuia fretboard and a 19 pieces neck !!! It's Stradi, another Polish luthier who is making polished stone fingerboard. Yes, and I do prefer the standard one without the coaxial speaker as it suits more my taste. They can handle a lot of power and respond fast with a very good low end (don't expect them to go as low as an 18" 😉 ). The weight is what is announced. Some prefer front ported bass reflex, but with a rear ported one, it's easier to place. I also own the very tiny GSS 06B400 combo which is coupled now to an EA Wizzy-112 M Line (the GSS single 12 was planned, but I got this in a trade) for the right amount of power.

If you want the best, then try to find a second hand AER Amp One, Two or Three as they are very expensive new. You'll have the ultimate portable combo designed for electric bass. Check Ed Friedland's videos about the subject :

The Marcus combo could be a good option too, but for 200 gramms less and £165 GBP less, you have 500 Watts more... Yes the 121 Lite delivers the full 800 Watts without any additional speaker and is totally usable at low wattage. Go the GSS Sumo route, it's exactly what you need. It's not that expensive for such high quality.

What's your price range and music style ?

The most important is the packing and the way it's perfectly done : bomb proof isn't exaggerated. The courier is, hélas, to often a lottery, so put all the chances on your side with the best made package, the address typed and not written, a phone number clearly visible and the same paper inside the box. Think about the usual weather and make it "rainproof" as much as possible. Try to ship on Monday to avoid a long weekend in the overheated or underheated (depending the season) warehouses. The shorter it's in the courier hands, the better it is.

Lots of Eagles fan here, won't get into any debate.
