1.
I will take this if it is still there.
Hi, I'll upload a picture later this evening so you can have a look, but its yours if you want to go ahead.
  2. I've used this to rack a Markbass LMK in the past so ideal for the micro amps that are not too deep. All works fine with front/back + bolts. Cosmetically seen better days with some scuff marks mainly on corners. Very lightweight unit and so easy to carry. Sorry, just noticed thats it's a little dusty in picture. Should have cleaned it before taking picture. Looking for £45.00 including postage.
No but my band has been featured several times on that (put's tongue in cheek) well known tv channel 'Wedding TV'....... Oh the dizzy heights of playing in a wedding band......
Yes we've popped up on Wedding TV as well so I've been told, although never seen it myself.

    Weddings

Being a wedding thread, just wondered if any other Basschat members played at one of the weddings for Living TVs Four Weddings program, first aired last night. Goes on for a few weeks so a lot of bands maybe, hopefully not too many discos. We were on the first wedding last night, Mel Boorman I think being the bride. Not enough footage of the band although a nice split second close up shot of my Shuker 5.
  5. Bassix EUB is no longer available (must be love). Josh, can you remove from the For Sale list.
  6. Not sure if Kalim still has my old Tech Soundsystems 4x10. Was in the For Sale listing several weeks back. I used both an ABM500 and 300 with it at one point. Clear, punchy, not boomy.
  7. BUMP. Maximum width is 22.5 inches so may not do the EBS 2x12.
  8. Sorry, already sold. Forgot to update as sold.
  9. Spec now updated in original for sale post.
  10. Well I mentioned this before but I'm now seriously considering letting my Shuker 5 headless go so just seeing if any interest here. Comes with original case and I'll be looking for £1200.00. This bass is easily in the same league of craftmanship as SEI etc. Reasonably lightweight and easy to play with good balance. Maple/Wenge Neck-thru. Ziricote fretboard. Similar density to maple. White Ash body. Flamed Myrtlewood facing. 34" scale, 24 fret. Blue side leds with external brightness control. SD Bassline pickups (MM/jazz) with coil switch for MM. Shuker 3 band circuit plus active/passive switch. I find I'm mostly playing my US deluxe 4 now. Maybe age related but I'm starting to get back into the more traditional bass look. I'll be looking for a high end 5 jazz type over the next few weeks, possibly ordering another Shuker if nothing used turns up. Could also be into part ex on any basses as I appreciate £1200 is a lot of money so drop me a pm with what you have or any questions on the Shuker.
  11. Josh, is this the red one you had from me ? There was something about that bass which I never quite found on a couple of other Jazzmans.
fair enough! Was thinking about seeking out the jazzman again, do you have any idea as to whether the current owner is in love with it?
12.
I can see why you and crez charge much more than us.
My situation is a little different to Crez as his band appears self contained and clients go direct. With us it's the old story of several people having their finger in the pie before the band get paid, but band members don't have to deal with anything outside of the gig itself. Not complaining as thats the way this one works and think I get paid ok for what I do. Luckily we are all friends and get on well and I get to play with some very talented people on a regular basis, plus the work is regular (just as well as we never rehearse).
  13. Timeless debate this one. So my band goes out for 2 to 3k per gig. There are 9 of us but I don't get (or expect) a 9th of the money. The PA/lighing guys may arrive at the venue say 3pm, probably placing my bass cab on stage as well in most cases. I'll turn up when the band are due to get dinner, maybe 8pm. Takes me 2 minutes to place my amp, tune and so on. When we finish I'm probably in my car within 20 minutes. The Tech guys could be there another couple of hours packing up. The agency deal with the clients. For weddings they can be a pain in the arse with the brides mother phoning 11pm in the evening wanting to talk about a change to next weeks opening dance etc. If I were doing all of the above plus chasing the gigs I would expect a 9th or even more if I were running the show, but I'm happy with the set up. Would always be nice to get paid more but then we may be in the 3k+ bracket and the 9 gigs we have this June would probably be down to 2 or 3.
  14.
How do these Tecamp cabs sound compared to the Techsoundsystems cabs?
Can only really comment on the 2x12 cabs. I don't think there is much different going on inside in terms of construction (could be wrong). I spoke to Thomas before considering getting one and he confirmed he started using different drivers fron Jan 08. I had the 2x12 Tech before this and there is definately a warmer low end on the newer version (M212) but still retains that Tech clarity and punch. The S212 on the left has the same drivers as M212 but probably due to the smaller dimensions is a little tighter, punchier and not so warm. Tecamp are looking to go rear porting on most of their cabs in the near future including the M212 which is why I got both now. The S212 is no longer made with front porting. I just don't like rear porting. I still have one Tech SS 4x10 which isn't going anywhere, and will continue to come out for the odd gig. That also pairs nicely with the TC.
  15. So all the gear came out this morning. Some string changing etc. Always a good excuse to take a picture or two. I've used the TC on 5 gigs now and loving it. Enough power for my needs and the sound is perfect for me. I'm starting to get into the presets now and the footswitch is a must for changing tone mid song. Also tuner reading is located on the footswitch as well as amp. Tecamp have improved on the old 2x12 Tech S/S cabs I think. New drivers are used producing a smoother low end. I only ever us one cab on a gig so one of the 2x12 will live on the south coast for a while for another gigging project.
  16.
there's a guy who makes Jazz Deluxes on leftybassist.com his username is Rodent, he works for a company called Regenerate Guitar Works and the stuff they sell comes in both righty and lefty.
Thanks for this. Did come accross the site before and a couple of nice left handers on there. I think if I went custom again for a jazz type it would be with Shuker, being uk based and first class workmanship/service.
  17.
So you got that lovely walnut Sei, with the blue LED's?
I may have mentioned this before but the blue LEDs almost didn't happen. Martin quoted me a fantastic price on this bass when I ordered it, for being an old customer I think (back to serial no 002). When I went to view the bass mid production no holes were made for the leds in the side of neck. Been missed off the order form. The price was still below what would normally be quoted without leds but Martin part retro fitted as the board and neck had already been glued. I've seen the 5 string jazz on the website but not for me. I prefer the body to be a little downsized like the US Deluxe, although the electrics etc would work for me.
  18.
Is that the cover you from me Alan? If so it was made by Cover Over Covers
Hi Dave, this is the original cover I had for a 310 before having yours I think. I did sell one on with another cab IIRC. So it looks like both were from COC. Thanks for the link. Dood... I'm just getting 2 new covers made for my Tecamp cabs by Roqsolid. Having spoken directly to a guy there they seem to be up for making any size, within reason. Hope they are not one of the companies you already tried.
  19.
Now if it had been 23" width I would have bought this for my ebs Neo 212 :-(
It may very well fit 23" wide as my measurements apart from height were conservative. I'll measure it again later.
  20.
Oh, and no, you can't have it back... it's mine, d'ya hear... mine I tells ya!
Your ok. Only joking about having it back. I'm very happy with the Shuker that replaced it, although must confess to having an itch for a 5 string jazz type. I tend to be taking a Jazz deluxe 4 on most gigs at the moment. I can't phone Martin as anytime I speak to the guy or go into the Gallery I order another bass. Not healthy.
  21. I think I should add to this thread but appears to have all been said. I tend to agree with Steve that a dedicated lefty thread (other than the excellent idea of the l/h basses for sale thread) is not necessary. There are already other sites that cover the issues very well I think, leftybass.com and various ongoing threads on Talkbass as example. Having said that there is (what I hope) a minority on here who just don't get what being left handed is all about. In a recent thread where a regular contributor on Basschat commented that he believed left handed instruments should not be produced. It's that kind of ignorance that makes you think we should have our own community. Leftybassman392 did buy my SEI I believe so I won't dismiss the idea completely, in case I ever try to buy it back.
  22. Hi All, Just to let people know I have one of these for sale in the 'For Sale, Other Musically Related Stuff' section. Thought I would point it out before having to go the E**y route.
  23. I think I bought this from Coverovercovers.co.uk (cost near £50) about 4 years ago for an Epifani 310UL. The Epi was sold sometime ago but held onto this thinking it would come in useful for other cabs but it never fitted anything I had since or now. Internal dimensions are H24", W22", D17". Handle holes are near central on both sides, 5.5" square and start about 7" from top. No holes or tears. Water resistant. The picture shows the cover freestanding, hence why its a little curved. Looking for £25.00 posted.
  24. Just an update... no longer interested in trades as I bought a TC amp since starting the listing, which should keep a smile on my face for the next couple of years, so looking for a straight sale.
