He's sold that now and later bought an MM bongo from ikebe and was definately stung by customs that time round. Every international purchase after that was picked up by customs and charged. I think you may get away with it once, but after that you're on their radar. Still good deals though

I'm using a Profet 3.2 with 2 8ohm hartke cabs (see sig). At rehearsals the output vol is at around 11 or 12 o'clock, which is easily loud enough to compete with a full unmiked kit, two noisy guitarists and a deaf vocalist with a twitchy PA master volume finger. It sounds fantastic as well, very clear, with a simple set of controls. I'd happily recommend it.

from my own experience I'd say you're comparing the best with the worst. Go with a Trace definately - bad experience - Ashdown EB115, only had it for about 3 months IIRC, then it crapped out on me at a soundcheck, waited far too long for it to be repaired by soundcontrol, I got it back and it developed the same fault within a week. Soundcontrol replaced it with the newer model, while i was waiting for that to arrive....... good experience - I bought a second hand 4x19 GP12 smx, a bloody beast. It was (and probably still is) a fantastic, punchy combo, the only reason I sold it was because my band was at the time scaling things down while our drummer quit and the other two were procreating. If circumstances had been different I'd still have it now

very interesting... thanks for explaining all that Mikey. It's stuff like this that challenges my shaky and very limited understanding of scales and theory, but in a good way - it always makes me want to delve deeper and understand more. I have another question if you don't mind, you mention the first cell [color="#0000FF"]"Major or Dominant (1 2 3 5) (5 6 7 9) (9 10 #11 13)"[/color], but as I understand it, is an 11 not just an octave of a 4th? so will the #11 effectively be a #4? is that jazz??? Library, hmmmm, I vaguely remember hearing about one of those before some wiseguy invented the internet, I'll have to see if my local one wasn't demolished to make way for yet another fashion boutique!
