  1. I've been searching for a Di pedal that had a simple clean EQ section for a small pedal board project. After trying a few of the usual suspects I landed on the JHS Clover. The EQ is warm and soft and perfectly partners the sound of my short scale passive basses.
  2. Where did you get the Punchline from? I've been trying to buy one, it's been impossible.
  3. Yes... It was me. What a fantastic pedal.
  4. I've been trying for the last few months to design a small board that can cover all bases. I needed to go from a simple, lightly compressed bass sound to a pulsing Moog synth for 80s tracks and a highly compressed lightly overdriven sound through to fretless bass sounds for a new covers project for 2025. It's finally finished with a little help from a few Black Friday deals. 🤠
  5. Last price drop £46 including UK postage. Grab this fantastic fuzz at a crazy price.
  6. Fantastic condition, boxed with instructions. Great sounding digital reverb effects pedal. Lightly used at home only. £25 including UK postage.
  7. Now £460 posted. Also on eBay for your purchasing pleasure.
  8. Can I ask what's the scale?
  9. From my experience of a few vintage instruments I would be very wary of old pots that worked perfectly. You can take the old pots and replace the insides with a new pot and reseal the old case to make it look original. This happened to a friend of mine who bought a vintage bass. I would prefer a seller to replace the scratchy pots and provide the originals as well. I would leave them as they are.
  10. After getting rid of most of my pedals a few months back, I'm on the build again. Trying to keep it small with drive, compressor and EQ / Di. Might add a flanger / chorus for an up coming 80s goth product. Any suggestions......................
  11. Trades open for short scale bass, amp, effects or anything bass related.
  12. Deal: Donner Headphone Amplifier DC 5V-1A, 3.5mm Rechargeable Portable In-ear Monitor amplifier With 8Ω to 250Ω Impedance, With 2 XLR and 1/4" TRS Inputs https://amzn.eu/d/gqyTP3v
  13. I know we are always going to get conflicting answers here on Basschat because we all have different experiences. Personally I would get a more powerful amp first to allow for more clean headroom. Then I would add another duplicate speaker. Never mix and match, always use the same speaker to match sound and technical specifications. Please don't have go... It's only my personal opinion. 🤠
  14. As others have said it is personal preference based on many factors such as neck relief, playing style and string choice just to name a few. My personal choice at the 12th fret.... B. 2.5mm E, A, D, G. 2mm
  15. Just found this on YouTube. I'm a big GR fan so can't wait to see the reviews when they appear. https://youtu.be/iTPsV2BfsoE?si=VNiLZa2YyZL6zEq4
  16. It is an absolute bargain and I'm having serious second thoughts on selling it.

  19. Sonic Farm 2DI4 Tube Direct Box. £460 including UK postage. 2DI4, now in upgraded Mk.II version, is a dream come true for bass players, as well as guitarists who record direct and use an amp simultaneously. It can also be used to yield character to any string instrument with a pickup (like pedal steel!), to make keyboards sound warmer, even to improve the sound of music players. And because it has both line and mic level balanced outputs, which can be used at the same time, it can drive a variety of inputs. As with the Creamer, a single pentode is the only gain stage. The high and low frequency boost circuits use high quality capacitors and inductors to impart fatness or top end to your signal in a very musical way. A buffered “thru” output enables a long cable connection with your amp, without a high end roll-off. A special DI transformer brings the output down to mic level, to drive consoles. A balanced line level output is also there for direct recording. We think this is the absolute state of the art in direct boxes. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: * Single channel * Design concept: (tube) pentode hybrid preamp * 2 tube modes: triode and pentode * Frequency response: 10Hz-50kHz +/-3dB * Maximum gain: 54dB at the line output, 32dB at the DI (mic level) output * Harmonic distortion: <2% before clipping level, quickly decreases if driven less. * Maximum line output level: 30dBu * Minimum output load: 600Ohms * Connectors: XLR DI and line output, balanced only * Instrument input: 1/4” unbalanced, mono * Input impedance: 2.2MOhm * Amp: 1/4” unbalanced, mono, buffered * Power consumption: 15W * Operating voltage: 110-120VAC or 220-240VAC, switchable * All supply voltages regulated. * 285V Plate voltage for huge headroom * Gold plated printed circuit boards with a double copper layer. * Gold plated tube socket Comes complete with the original box, unused mains cable, instruction booklet and spare valve. The Di is only 11 months old and in perfect condition.
