    Same here. First that i can remember anyway. Our local surgery is very well organised. Same with my local hospitals. I do consider myself lucky though.

    This guy needs exposing. I’m sure the MU would not take kindly to a con man running gigs. I’m also wondering if his business practises are all above board. Maybe the Inland revenue would be interested in him.

    Haha, well within a week of getting the 435 i got put on 80% wages, all gigs cancelled and then got made redundant. I also felt i had enough basses to play bass on at home anyway......oh and then gave up playing bass. Oh, and it was 8lbs. I do regret sending it back still.

    Haha, I’m not talking about the B string, just the other 4 and in general. Then again, the P34 can obviously be de-tuned, so quite easily get those notes if needed 😏

    Cool. I’m in. A few groups and we get quite a bit of spam etc. I normally report to the mods, but also FB itself. I’d maybe mention in the group that anyone helping this guy could be implicated in his actions. I saw your post earlier. Hope it all works out for you and the others.

    For what its worth i thought the BB435 sounded much better, to me, than the P34 i had. So even within the BB range there are differences. I felt the BB435 sounded much more ‘Fender’ than the P34, which I found to be a bit more polite. Neither sounds like the TBRX though. Oh, and no relevant to this topic, but the BB435 also had a much better B string than the TRBX. Even the Sire V7 that replaced my TRBX had a more solid B string. All 3 are 34’’ so its not a length thing.

    Have you reported this to FB? I can imagine if they block his account it will be quite a pain for him.

    Having had a TRBX505 and a BB435 I’d say BB all the way. I gigged my TRBX for about 2 years, but never really found it exciting. There was a softness about it. Not sure if that makes sense. I’d say it reminded me of a bass that had Bart BK1’s in it. Polite and up for the job, but not as exciting as it could have been. The analogy about it purring along in a theatre band seems spot on. Its quite a generic tone so fits in everywhere., but doesnt really claim its spot. The BB435 on the other hand blew me way. It had a proper P bass tone with just a bit more kick and growl, and playability was quite a bit better. IIR the BB neck didnt feel as cramped as the TRBX.

    Must admit most of the stuff ive sold this year has been on FB, with no issues at all. The only difference i can see is they have all been strangers, and as mentioned by Ped, not very talkative. Ive had time wasters from both places. I definitely feel safer selling on here though.

    Ive sold a few things through FB marketplace without issues, but I’m getting quite a few time wasters at the moment. FB is always a last resort anyway.

    Just thought I’d update to say I’m still really happy with my AKG’s. I recently got a Yamaha DBR12 and the two are working very well together. I can EQ using the AKG’s and its pretty close to whats coming out of the DBR12. Only used the DBR12 at home so far though.

    Sold a couple of things to Bas over the past month or so and couldn’t have gone any smoother, as expected. No delay’s in paying and great comm’s before and after.

    Definitely. I love a black PG with a burst finish, but the Tort just seems to be better with this bass/shade.

    I had a PG made for my old Lakland DJ5 when i turned it in to a PJ. I got the blank plate made by Simms, i sent them the original for them to scan, but it was the Bass Gallery that did the pup cutout as they were doing the mod.

    Thanks. Yeah, these were mostly from FB market place. Just people chancing it. Had one today asking if it was still available. Said yes, then asked ‘is it a pair?’ 😮. Same ad thats on here more or less, inc photos.

    I think it is neutral enough to not really need any extra EQ, but the lack of EQ stopped me using any of the other drive tones prints.

    Thats to only tone print I could get to work for me when i had mine, and it happened to be ideal in its own right. I just wish there was the ability to adjust EQ for the drive section independently.
