  1. Are you talking about the HPF in the Global EQ or the man part of the EQ?
  2. Hated mine, worst higher end cab ive ever had. Fell apart very quickly, very poorly made, and very quiet sounding. Tone was good though. These days I can’t imagine anything better than my Berg CN212. I find 2x12 are my thing, and ive not had anything as satisfying since a Schroeder 1212L. Totally different sounding cabs but both 2x12’s
  3. Personally ill have nothing to do with this company. Been let down over their CS, although this has not to do with the amp side of things.
  4. I too have used a G30 for many years, with passive and active. Never had any issues.
  5. A lot of complaints on the PG forum about long delays. Other than that these look cool.
  6. I tend not to listen to music for pleasure. I just don’t find enough time to do it. We have Absolute radio on at home a lot of the time, but other than that and maybe YT on my ipad i dont have privatetime to put music on, unless I’m learning songs. I’d say over the past 15+ years most of my music listening has been learning those songs.
  7. Not sure if you saw my posts from a couple of months ago, but not only did i miss the one i sent back, i contacted the shop a couple of times to see if i could get it back. First time ive actively tried to get a bass back. If I hadn’t got the keyboard I’d still be chasing it. 8lbs and played like a dream.
  8. I like my 425, but when I briefly had a 435 i noticed a few nice differences, especially the weight difference. Another one of those is all I GAS for these days.
  9. The question was “Now I’m puzzled. Is it now a case that TRS do work ok? Was this something that changed over the past couple of years? Were those people just not working hard enough to get it working......or are am i going mad” I wasn’t asking how to do it, as i said ive already done it, but have we always been able to do this? Reading old posts (2-3 years old) people were saying only a very small selection of these pedals work, due to the Helix needing TS and that TRS needed modification to work. Sorry if that wasn’t clear in my first post.
  10. Yep, but that’s not the question.
  11. I tried with a stereo to mono adapter on the end of the TRS cable and this didnt work. Not sure its the correct thing to use, but I only had joy with TRS.
  12. I’m not sure if this has been discussed recently, or at all, but i wanted to ask about Expression pedals. The guy I spoke about recently who got a HFX was asking about using his Boss expression pedal. We both did a bit or research and it seems (or seemed) that you cant use a lot of the cheaper ones as they are TRS and the HFX/Stomp need TS. I was asked agin today by @Al Krow about this and i did a bit more research. I have a Yamaha FC-7, which is TRS. I tried it before but it didnt work, then i found the posts about not using TRS so left it at that. I have a few adapters laying around that go from stereo to mono. Thought I’d give them a go, but no luck. Then i managed to get the FC-7 working perfectly, without any adapters. Now I’m puzzled. Is it now a case that TRS do work ok? Was this something that changed over the past couple of years? We those people just not working hard enough to get it working......or are am i going mad.
  13. Ok, i looked those word up lol. The thread just shows my way of seeing the two, although deep down i was never convinced i wanted a larger board with an expression pedal. I know I would never use it. Its a very personal thing though. My needs are home headphone practice with an amp/cab sim (one is more than enough for me), and live use to have a board with more foot switches like the HFX. No need for amp/cab sims for my use live. The PG just seemed to be ideal, other than the expression pedal making it more bulky than i would like.
  14. I was so determined to get rid of my Stomp and get a Pod Go at the start of lockdown. Ended up getting two keyboards, but if i stick with Bass i still might get a PG. I, and a few others, discussed this in the Helix ‘mega’ thread a few months ago.
  15. I’m really impressed with the info on the Becos website and their manuals. Ive learnt so much from these. For some reason i just understand the way they talk and its been a revelation for me. Still don’t feel i need one, but now i have a better understanding i can get mine to do what i want it to do, which is a first for me.
  16. Corona still here (🤔)
  17. Yeah, that makes sense. I’d say I got mine for the same reason. I don’t think I needed it but it’s not a bass that you can’t help but like. Only selling mine as I do love my Fender as well, and I really only use the front pup so it’s not worth keeping it. The Fender is 100% a keeper.
  18. If you have a 734 you wont find a P34 a big update. I’d say the 734 is much better value. Not that I’m putting the P34 down, i just dont buy in to the made in Japan superiority thing for more money these days, and the magical way they treat the wood...who can tell if its worth paying extra for. Once you’ve owned the bass for a couple of years (maybe) i doubt the advantage would still be there. Still, its a nice simple bass that doesn’t seem to have any flaws, other than a bit in the heavy side compared to some others.
  19. I’d also say be a bit flexible if one or two things aren’t 100% to your liking. If most of it works for you give it a shot. The fact that you are going, you know what they do and sound like means you want to be out playing. Its probably not going to fit 100% with you at first, each band does things differently, but try and see the potential and bigger picture. Its their band, and they know what they want, or maybe they dont lol. Look on the first time as the start of a work in progress. Also important is to get on with them and not make it feel like a struggle for them to offer constructive opinion. After all, if they have been playing these songs already they will have comments to make. No attitude lol.
  20. Do you mean tone or how it hangs? I find its really comfortable to play standing up. Although its not the lightest bass i have it just feels right when strapped on. Its a bit weighty, which i find helps keep the neck where it’s supposed to be, and ive never had any neck dive, not even a hint of it when not holding the neck. Its just so comfortable to play once strapped on.
  21. One of the reasons i love my Becos is a lot of it is auto. I know this is not always a good thing to use, but for me it all works so much better than any comp ive owned before. Thats and the lovely meter of course. Not the first time ive had a comp with one, but again this one seems to work just how I need it to.
  22. Thanks for all the replies. Sorry if I wasn't clear but I’m not talking about midi, just the standard 2 way footswtich with a TRS cable. Specifically to scroll from patch to patch, as described by Woodinblack. My mate has just got a HFX and has chosen to use it mounted on a stand, and to switch patches with his hand. Its just for home use. He has this connected to his PC for editing but i thought it might be useful if he could at least have something on the floor to help. Midi is 100% out of the question. Seems like it as a no then.
  23. Quick question for some HFX owners. Is it possible to hook up a 2 way foot switch to scroll through patches. I know you can with the Stomp, but it doesn't look like you can with the HFX. Asking for a mate as i don’t have mine anymore.
  24. Cheers. If i don’t have a lovely Sandblasted P bass this would be my main P. The Fender wins only on looks.
