  1. One had lines in the finish on the front, not sure how they got there, and the second was scratched before i took it out of the box. Both had issues with the footswitch. Im sure i wrote about it in one of the older Legacy threads. The 3rd was fine. i think these were early examples. Im sure you wouldn't get any of this now (although a few years before that i also sent a MB F800 back as the case was also damaged when i got it)
  2. Loved my 800. Very thick punchy sound. Obviously full of the GK tone, but thats why we buy it. It had the heft my MB800 didn't, although the two had more in common than different to my ears. I found for a guitar/bass/drum line up it really helped fill out the mix, without jumping out of it. Thick and solid, and quite a nice clean tone when needed. Never sounding thin or weak. Mostly used it flat as that was the sound i liked, but the low end was thunderous if needed. I did end up sending it back (actually had 3 because the build quality was poor on the first two), but only because, as above, my MB800 was close enough and £800 was too much to spend when i had 3 other heads that i liked. Pretty sure we have threads about these already so maybe look in those.
  3. I love that song. Not heard it for years. Video is working fine. Good version of it 👍
  4. Ive just listened to the new album, and don’t like it at all. To me its one of those albums you put on a loop Christmas morning at a low volume until the TV goes on later. Im sure its all very meaningful and serves its purpose, but for me its a one time play.
  5. Paul’s gone way above expectation’s a few times for me. Been using them for years, and cant say a bad word about them.
  6. Because they will, especially if there is a thread about the item on BC 😎
  7. When i used the Waza it was the guitar version, and i only used a bass. Sounded just fine to me and my mate who owns it. I think you are better off going for the guitar version if you will be using guitar.
  8. Not tried the bass ones, but I’ve used the guitar ones a few times now. Pretty cool features but more features than I’d need.
  9. Pretty sure its all saved in the headphones. The transmitter is just their standard WL20 by the looks of it.
  10. Ah yes, a typo indeed. Sorry about that. Those are the ones i ended up with and love them. I found all good, but these just seemed to have the right balance. I even mixed a few of my tracks using them and they were pretty close to my small monitors. I know loads love the KZ10 Pro’s, but i found them too full range. A bit cold i guess. Biggest issue though was fit. Had they fitted my ears id have got a pair for myself. They just felt like they were falling out all the time (although they never did). Even the slightly smaller ones felt like this. I have strange ears.
  11. I also use Comply foam tips and these make a huge difference over the stock ones.
  12. Not sure off hand, it’s on the website (or Amazon). I do find I can only use one most of the time, as they do cut out a lot of the band out. I went for these as my ears are very flat, so I wanted one with a cable that wraps around the ear. I think the Sure’s also do this but I never tried those.
  13. I posted a while back but I had the full set of MME IEM’s. So single, double, triple and Quad drivers. Also got the KZ10 at home (Dawns). I ended up settling on the 3 driver version. I found these to be a good middle ground for bass and keys. All were great until I tried the next one up etc, but I found the quad driver a bit too flat.
  14. This is where my old Schroeder 1212L and 1210R’s were outstanding. Firing up at my head AND out front at the same time. Never struggled to hear myself on stage and so never really had to mess with the EQ that the audience was getting.
  15. I think cutting through and sitting in the mix are different goals, but I generally boost the mids slightly to get me heard a bit more. Don’t think I’ve ever boosted the low end. That’s just me though.
  16. Thats almost the opposite to what i do 😁
  17. Although thinking about that, I’d imagine the whole band would need to go through them as well, other wise it might sound a bit odd.
  18. Don’t forget, you will effectively have 2x10, and sub, which should be fine for bass in a pub or small venue IMO. Easiest way to test to would be to try it at a sound check, while also having your rig set up but turned down or off while you try it.
  19. I had the Legacy 800 when it first came out, amazing tone, but as i already had 2 GK heads i just couldn't justify keeping it, so sent it back.
  20. Ive never heard anyone call a PA ‘FRFR’, as in ‘ill go direct to the FRFR’, and the phrase ‘going through the PA’ is definitely not just just BC terminology. Why not just say PA? No one is arguing a PA can consist of FRFR boxes, but the use of the term in this context seems very ‘uniquie’ to me.
  21. Ive been using my Xvive U2 guitar system with my Behringer P2 for IEM use. Seems to work fine, although a bit clunky.
  22. I think its your use of the ‘FRFR’ term thats caused confusion. Ive never seen anyone refer to going amp less or through the PA as going FRFR. While it might be technically correct to a point, people generally refer to it as going through the PA. I don't think you will find anyone that has said they are going FRFR mean anything other than getting FRFR rig (Headrush/PA speaker etc) to replace what they have. Plenty refer to going amp less, which obviously refer’s to going through the PA. In fact many people go through the PA as well as have backline. Imagine how confuing that is if the say they are going FRFR and have an Ampeg rig lol. Thats why i couldn’t understand you talking about going FRFR and IEM at the same time. Still, we know all know exactly what you mean now.
  23. Ah ok. So going ampless. Now it makes sense.
  24. IVe been following this part of the thread with interest, but not sure what the above means. What are you talking about when you say FRFR?
  25. Ha, dont get me started on home vs live sounds from a rig. Anything can sound fantastic at home, but for me it needs to preform just as well at volume with a band. Only way to reliably tell is to use it like this, and go as far as you can (or at least on to the dance floor/area ) and hear what the public will hear. Obviously only really needed if backline is providing FOH as well. Ive always used a wireless system and checked my sound and the band mix from out front. My experience has shown that a few tweaks on stage to help hear myself better doesn't make a huge difference out front, but i never touch the low end, which is where i think it will make an audible difference off stage. So yeah, totally agree with you.
