1. Cheers Gareth. I did not want to see that Jazz though ;-) So i guess that puts paid to the UK only rumours as well.
 2. You would think maybe the Venue would have warned you if its happened before. Bad news and good luck in getting it back. Was it insured?
 3. Cheers Gary. The gig went well. After a run of weddings it was actually nice to play a social club :-0. And because my drummer hates playing these clubs he tends to play a lot straighter (ie, doesnt make an effort), which means we sound much better. The CVJ sounded better tonight. I think i would be happy to keep these pups if i have to, but i have emailed Andy to see if we can work something out. If its too much hassle (or money) then ill keep them in for now. These pups certainly do get closer to a P than any other Jazz pups ive tried (not that many though) but it would be nice to have a bit more sparkle.
 4.
Ive promised myself that this is it for at least a year.
5.
The 'other' 12" is on an angled baffle off to the side of the driver that you 'can' see!
Well that's what i was going to say but (and i guess im wrong) the way it was worded made it sound like he knew what a Schroeder 1212 was, as in he didnt put the more generic 2x12 term. Unless he was talking about my pic, in that case he's right as its a 1210 but then i didnt say it was a 1212.

 7.
Hi Err am i going mad the pic is not a 1212 ??
How so? What do you think it is?
 8. Hi All. Ive just done my first gig with the 84's in and they sound good but i dont think ill be keeping them in. I feel they lack brightness. As i said above, i feel ive lost some top end and while i dont like a tone thats too bright, i can tell these are just not right for me. No sparkle (or not enough for me anyway). Im used to hearing a lot of overtones when i put new strings on, even XL's, and while i really like the tone of very new strings, but this new set ive got on already sound gigged if that makes sense. Its not the strings as they sound as they should acoustically. Overall its a good, solid tone but i think i prefer the slightly more scooped Squier pups. If i wasn't so lazy i think i would put the Squier pups back in for tonight's gig and see how much difference there is. But i am too lazy and really do want to give these a chance. Does anyone know if Andy would be willing to re wind these for me (at a cost of course)? Ill email him on monday to see what he says, dont want to bother him over the weekend.
 9. The price seems good. Am i right in assuming that each knob has volume and tone for each pup?
 10.
well its exaclty a mix of the aerodyne and the jag, its just as much one as it is the other,,,,,,,,,,,except the jag and aerodyne dont have that nasty [s]rash[/s] squire decal on the headstock
The Squier name is not a problem for me. Ive sold my Laklands and USA Fender and now gig with a Squier. No shame in having a bass that looks good, sounds good and plays good. In a previous post i said how much i loved blocks. Cant see them on the Aerodyne. I also dont like basses with no pick guard. I know the Jap Aerodyne has one but its not in the same price range (i hope). Like i said, its not perfect but its closer than the Aerodyne.
 11.
There are going to be a lot of very disappointed people if it's not real.
Well it seems like the USA bass players will be disappointed even if it is real. According to the rumours anyway. Munk, This bass is a lot closer to what i want than a Aerodyne will ever be. And for me the real deal isnt readily available and would be way out of my price range if i had ot get one made.
 12.
I want it to be real, therefore it shall be real
I do hope so (and im sure it will). I dont really know anything about Jaguars. I know they normally have lots of switches on them (my singer has a guitar version) and i know they normally look ugly to me. But i really cant see any other black/PJ/jazz sized blocked neck basses in this (assumed) price point. what would be ideal was if the neck would fit on my black Ray34. That would be worth getting the Squier for.
 13.
Unfortunately if it was pulled in from the phone, it would be unplayable with the unbearable latency and to directly reencode it was not an available option unfortunately. If advances in the platform allow for it in the future, I'm sure we will.
I know its way to late but couldnt we have had a folder we could drag and drop mp3s in, rather than having to upload them?. I'm happy to have a load of duplicates that are used exclusively by irig but to limit the list to only 20 isnt going to be ideal. Just an idea. Still going to use it though and im sure it will evolve.
 14.
real!
As they say on Talk Bass, no pic no bass ;-)
 15. Ive never liked the look of the Jaguar range (guitars and bass) but if this turns out to be real im selling my Ray34 to get one. I need blocks on a black bass back in my life lol.
 16. Im no expert but it seems to me that newer amps, and maybe more so digital ones like the F1, need complete boards replaced rather than things being repaired with a bit of solder. Maybe thats why the quote was so high.
 17.
Just had a bit more of a mess around with it, uploading a couple of songs to it and messing with the demo. I'll be honest, and say I'm a little disappointed. The upload process robs it of the spontaneity, which is a shame but I appreciate that it's probably the only practical way to do it. You're also limited to 20 songs, which really limits it for me as I've quite often got 40+ tunes on the go at any given time. It would even help if you could drag songs across from iTunes on the phone.
I agree with all this. I was hoping i could sit in the bedroom with my ipod touch loaded will all my bands play list (around 150 songs) and be able to jam along with them. I wouldnt mind if i could drag and drop all the songs to my ipod. Ive not yet tried the upload part and i dont think ill bother just yet. I wonder if drag and drop will be made availible for this. I can drag files to my ipod folders already so cant see why it shouldnt work. I still intend to use it as it will still come in very handy for when im at gigs etc, and i will buy the adaptor, but as a rehearsal tool for at home ill give it a miss.
 18.
I don't know what's wrong with you all. I'm clearly going to stay well away from Hampstead Heath
Hampstead Heath is a really nice place, its just certain parts have a bit of a funny reputation. Dont forget to go down to the Bass Cellar and make fun of the monkeys.
 19.
Also... I'm just playing about with it now, and I keep being asked to connect to a network whenever I go to add a song. Can I not just pick a tune from iTunes on my phone and play along with it?
Yeah, I'm getting this as well. This won't be much use if I have to add songs each time. Maybe the new multitasking of OS 4 will help.
 20. Cool, thanks for posting. I checked out the free version earlier. Im only interested in a bass rig sim so ill probably keep it simple. Dont need stomp boxes. Can you tell me (i know, im lazy) what bass amps are available. am i right that i buy the LE version, then buy the individual amps and cabs through the app? I started using Amplitube 3 last night. Ive sort of given up on Guitar rig for now as it keeps freezing up. EDIT: OK, i can see how to purchase a Bass rig form the free version. Oh, and the demos sound good. well done IKM.
 21. Your not too far away from Camden town. It might be worth checking the pubs and clubs for some live music in that area, especially if you are going to the Gallery. If you have tight speedos, a very unhealthy tan and look buff then you could spend a few hours stretched out on the slab over on Hampstead Heath. No need to swim unless its to make a quick getaway lol.
 22.
Thanks Dave, It's just a bit 'worrying' when the only two other Guys I know who own Markbass amps - an LMK & an SA450 have just both sent them away to be fixed!! Ah well - they say bad luck comes in three's !! All the best, Tim
If it helps post a "who owns MB amps" thread and see how many happy owners pop up. I agree, it can be worrying when you read (or experience) problems like this. It can make you very paranoid. I for one would probably never buy another Ashdown head. Ive had two go wrong (one at a gig). But i do know that 100's of people use them without issues so while i expect i was just unlucky, i feel i would be always worrying about it going worng. Maybe thats just me though. Have you contacted MarkBass yet? They do seem to care about their customers and might be able to help or offer advice.
 23.
The reason the post is on twice is because I originally put it in the wrong section, so did it again in which I thought was the right one & where I thought I might get some help. Thanks anyway !
No harm done. I do hope you get it fixed. I think people might be a bit negative because you only have to do a search on the various bass forums to see just how reliable MB gear is. Of course there are always exceptions but on the whole MB are one of the reliable companies.
 24.
It's the first i've heard of that.. easy.. sounds like just a one off
As already explained, i was making a joke of the fact that the poster started two threads about the ONE amp. Hence the ;-) at the end of the first line. And as ive also written i have two MB heads that i love and wouldnt dream of getting rid of them (although i think i might sell one soon as i dont use it much). Its all in this thread above ;-)
