i too have the Mojomojo but doubt ill ever use it again. Its nice but it sounds a bit tame for what i want.

Been re thinking what i need recently, and have decided on these few. I intend to replace the Helix with a SA Lunar, so ill have chorus and Phaser in one box. My BDDI will now not be used as always on, as I’m trying to get away from using it. The COG is sounding nice and the first Chanel will now be my always on, and the second with higher gain will give me my dirt. Compressor has gone, and no one has writing any stern letters to me yet.....

Totally agree. I too have the AS and while it seems to do it all i find the Joyo UD just does what i want without the need to fuss around with programming. I also find the UD has a more lively tone without any loss of punch. It just seems more lively and bigger, without sounding too wild. Also agree that drive knob is very dangerous. I dont think ive been over 9 o’clock with mine,. I have replaced it with a COG 66 but the COG doesnt quite have the same tone. Still very usable though. Just shows you don’t have to spend a lot to find ‘your tone’.

Bassist for Kylie Minogue - BBC Radio 2 Hyde Park Concert

Even then, the sound for the SD channels can often sound very different to the mix or output in Dolby Digital. Quite often switching between Sd and HD can show quite a big difference in audio, and not just the quality. -
Life's priorities, at 20 vs whatever age your are now
dave_bass5 replied to Barking Spiders's topic in General Discussion
My main priority has always been to hold a job down and play music. I have never even considered playing full time, nor wanting to 'make it' (due to keeping a job). Playing has always been enjoyable but not 'real life' for me. -
Ive got a Mojomojo and its ok. I liked it at first but found it a bit 'meh'. Thats me though, i know lots of people like them. Certainty no loss of bass tone when using it. I agree with DB, its a dark tone, not a lively in your face type of box. i only used it a couple of times and while it did indeed work on the older 60's songs i found it lacking on the more modern covers we do. Just lacked that openness and sparkle that some other boxes can do. Still a nice box though. I do love the Joyo Ultimate drive though. Even cheaper and to my ears much more lively, although can still do tame. its the best, by none, that ive used, at any price. I should add that ive not used many though, but it beats the Darkglass stuff ive had, along with a Way huge Pork Loin. Its just a powerful, open tone to my ears. Joyo do lots of good OD's, well worth investigating if on a budget. I also have a Joyo Orange juice, very small and very gritty. looks cheap but sounds impressive.

Tom Petersson's Hamer FBVIII - when things went weird.
dave_bass5 replied to NancyJohnson's topic in Bass Guitars
Maybe not you, and i meant no offence, but according to all the other 'buyer pulls out threads' it just not on leading a seller on and then pulling out. Which is what you did. If it was the other way around im 100% sure the other person would be the 'knob'. im commenting more on the following posts rather than yours. Just noticing how the pack runs on here these days. -
Tom Petersson's Hamer FBVIII - when things went weird.

Wow. So we normally have long thread slagging off people who pull out of deals for silly reasons, and these people are nothing more than whatever the keyboard warriors feel they can type that day. While i understand the situation, i cant understand why its the seller thats the bad guy here. Why on earth shoulden be angry, and wh on eather is there a thread about? I know BC members have to stick together but even so. "Very interested, yes i can afford it, can you send me more info......sorry, the wife says no". Hardly going to get a "no prob's mate' are you? Going by the many threads on here this just wouldn't be tolerated by BC members, but in this case its not a problem for most. Gotta love the BC collective. its not what it used to be. -
ive had mine for close on 12 years now. Although not used much its still going strong. The BDI21 is one of the rare Behrigner products that have a very good rep, although of course nothing is 100%. i actually prefer it to the old BDDI, although my BDDIv2 is better. As far as the Amazon £17 deal goes, i bet they are getting them from G4M.

Decent mini tuner for my board. NOT TC though.

Thanks. I did almost get one but ended up getting a Donner DT Deluxe tuner for £9.99. Its doing a great job so far, and at a very nice price. -
Someone's started to influence be 😉

Wait till your audience gets to hear it, you will attain god like status 🙂

Yep. although some are better than others there will always be a delay of some sort. I get around this by having wireless headphones that also take a cable. I love the freedom BT gives, but if im playing at home etc ill normally be sitting by the ipad or phone anyway, so using a cable is no big deal. Certainly cant walk around the room with them though.

Ive taken my Comp off my board for now. If i get too many complaints from the audience ill put it back on 🙂

'Meet up only in central London'........'how much to post to mainland Europe' lol. Yep, gotta laugh at some people.

Just playing devils advocate here. I sometimes think when selling we forget that we are also asking someone that doesn't know us to trust us. Trust has to work both ways. Buyers and sellers can be scammed. Yes, the guy seems to be a bit of a time waster, but maybe he has the same feeling as the OP, in that it might be a scam. Tricky situation. I much prefer to only deal face to face for more expensive items, and if i place an ad saying that i stick to it.

Sorry, wrong thread.

Nah, only 86 effects, waste of time lol.

I love my Helix, best swirly thing ive ever owned, but im talking about the TC Electronics Helix Phaser, not that big lump of a thing Line 6 make 🙂 As its tone print enabled its very versatile. Saying that, i will be replacing it with a Source Audio Lunar (or any of the modulation pedals). This allows up to 6 presets, so will do chorus as well as flanger/phase etc.

Line 6 G30 battery door just fell apart.

Thanks but I got a new one so no need for that. -
There is a large thread over on TB about these pups. Loads of fans and plenty of info and sound clips.

i just didn't like the tone. Nothing more than personal preference i guess. I thought the P sounded bland and a bit lifeless. Might even have been down to the bass they were in. As i said, once i replaced it with the DP122 the bass came to life.
