10. Hello! I have a new style Trace Elliot 715 combo in as new condition which I am looking to sell or possibly trade. It has the classic Trace rock sound, with compression and a 7 band eq., but with their recently relaunched look- a back lit green head panel which looks very cool IMO. Spec is as follows: Additional speaker output (8 Ohms minimum load). Preshape circuit. 7-band classic Graphic Equalizer. Compressor with self-adjusting program dependant Attack/Release times. Series effects loop. Output Mute switch, active on all outputs except Tuner Out. Electronically balanced XLR DI outputs for Pre and Post Preamp. MOSFET technology 200 Watts output stage. 15” (382mm) special design Celestion speaker. High frequency horn. Footswitch allowing control of Preshape, Graphic EQ, Compressor and Output Mute. Cabinet tuned, with bottom unobstructed slot, to 42Hz. Lightweight poplar plywood construction. Original classy black ‘pimple’ covered. Metal handles and protective corners. Dimensions (HxWxD): 24.5'' (622mm) x 19.3'' (491mm) x 13.2'' (335mm) Weight: 64.6lbs (28kg) More details from their website [post="0"]here[/post]. As the pictures show, the amp is brand new, in absolute mint condition and will be supplied in the original box. I’ve only used this at home due to the following: After playing it for a while I noticed a slight background hiss so I sent it back to Trace under warranty to fix. They duly diagnosed an interference from the power supply and sorted out the problem. I have documents from Trace confirming that it has now been fixed to factory spec and has passed their various quality controls which I can send copies of should you be interested. Anyway, it is for this reason that the amp remains in as new condition and never taken out gigging. These sell for a recommended £649 according to Trace but can be found on GAK etc. for more like £600 right now. I’m selling this one, as I said boxed and as new, for £[s]350[/s] £300. Included are the original Trace Elliot amp cover and 4 button foot switch which changes between pre shape, graphic, compression and mute. Currently I only have a 5 pin rather than the 7 pin lead for the FS which limits it to just the compression and mute functions, but will throw this in, and you’ll be able to pick up a 7 pin lead very easily should you wish. My reason for selling is that I’m now looking to change my rig to something more public transport friendly- I do a lot of getting about on the tube and so need something ultra lightweight. For that reason I’d be interested in trades with a LMII or similar head or some sort of neo 1x12” or 15” cab/s. I’m happy to post at the buyer’s expense and might able to meet somewhere reasonable. I’m based in London, and as ever viewings are welcome! Please PM me for more details and photos etc. Thanks for the interest, Johnny.
  11. Yeah, rod is a legend too, thats for sure and I don't think anyone does prog funk like sub opt/kobaya. Thought it might have been ant on some of the tracks- did I hear his ring modulator in use? The album sounds great- I love the titles of the tracks... Ninja squid! Wicked. Cheers anyway- see you down london way sometime?
Hey Johnny, I am good mates with Ant. I did an album with his band Sub-Opt (soon to called Kobaya) which is due out later this month. I also recently worked with Kev G and Ant on Rodrigo Braga's solo album which is currently still in the recording stages. Do you know him? Ant has graced the MOJO album with his usual mental guitar playing. It is true, as of last week Kev is in London. Ant is moving back too in a week or two so it all gonna be happening your neck of the woods. Peace. G
12. Hi Gary, Ha ha, I wondered how long it would be before someone mentioned Kev's name here! I went to uni up in Edinburgh and so was playing bass on some of the same gigs as Kev- I was in a band in a band at the time with Ant, the guitarist from who I believe plays with MOJO now and again. I can confirm that he is a monster on bass, his technique and composure is incredible! The sort of player who makes you question why you bother playing yourself- having to share a city with another bass player that good i hard work on the self esteem!!! But, as you say, you couldn't meet a nicer, more unassuming and friendly guy- a true legend! Can't recommend him or his work enough- definitely treat yourself to a listen of his solo stuff via myspace. I believe he is down in London now or is that a rumour? The recordings sound great- you have a very even balance, even if the bass could be a bit higher in the mix! I bet you could get some great remixes out of this! Anyway, enough from me, keep up the good work!
  13. Great looking gear! (basses look awesome too!) Would you be interested in selling either of the Accugroove speakers on their own? If so how much? Also would there be any import fees since Norway is outside the EU? Good luck with the sale!
