  1. The extended version is much better. His battered precision was my model for my own relic P - I find him quite inspirational still as I once did think “I can do that” do agree they’ve run a bit dry recently
  2. Hello and welcome back nice sunburst finish perhaps ?
  3. I’m hugely fond of the baseline to “please” very funky
  4. I thought his name was Ken …
  5. Thicker strings are harder to pull so the truss rod needs to exert more force to resist them. Thinner strings are being pulled against the fret board as the truss rod is resisting more than needed. You therefore need to reduce tension on the truss rod I imagine it as a tug of war where a team member leaves on one side - with him the two sides are evenly matched
  6. That is indeed a Mary Kay finish - very hard to do well
  7. Need screwdrivers / Allen keys / feeler guages I also got a steel ruler and an oilstone as it’s wide and abrasive
  8. I learned to do it … it’s easy with help of @Andyjr1515 and some other kind folks - read through and only used an£11 kit from eBay - link is in the thread
  9. Probably overbow given the lighter strings - just release truss rod
  10. Johnny depp also I think
  11. @TimR Hammond - had an Inca silver jazz at one point (mph at brum)
  12. I’d like to play with the whole of her. I’d register as a charity and donate to it and also to her choice of charity - which is only fair unde the circumstances
  13. I just take a p bass - it handles everything
  14. You could hang on to the yellow one for a bit and make it into double digits 🏆
  15. You should buy it in blue and yellow …
  16. Ed Friesland endorses it
  17. Just Killing all guitar noise is fine by me - they don’t need to die as without a guitard they make no weedy sounds
  18. Does that kill noise on all guitars ? Just wondering …. 😉
  19. Standard 62 era feature - I used copper tape to get the look and do same job on my stack knob build
  20. But we were there … 🤔was there another room ?
  21. I insist on an answer damnit ungrateful b’stard
  22. Just stick with flatwounds …is my advice and use foam at the bridge - I use a dishwashing sponge
  23. Nope, she’s a keeper
  24. I loaned mine to someone and he actually took care of it, despite being a guitarist.
