  1. Way beyond my means but I’d like the buttercream T bass
  2. G string is a pun, Nilorious refers to a part of the lingerie as well as the bass string
  3. Yes, and it must be made of the right wood…
  4. Shockingly expensive
  5. Cool bassline though
  6. It’s English slang for the end part of a penis
  7. Izzaut ….with a diacritic on the second z
  8. I’d thought it was too big for one I would love it but maybe something like it nearer Xmas

  13. I’m pretty much a non drinker, keep trying a bit of spirits occasionally and making sure that it’s not worth the feeling bad next day and the gaps between are getting longer. I have psychological reasons why I do it and they are hard to leave behind
  14. I’d never pay extra for a U.S.

  16. Free time ? That’s a luxury
  17. Crocodile shoes was a song recorded by an “actor” called jimmy nail, snappy is a weak pun
  18. Crocodile shoes? Make your bass sound more snappy
  19. I was endlessly corrected on my use of German when in Austria … that’s why I added “kindly” you could have said “did you really think that …” or “had you really thought/believed/imagined that..”. Both add up to the same thing, but the second one is slightly more archaic in style.
  20. English is complicated but you don’t improve if people don’t pick you up on mistakes (kindly)
  21. What about non binary pickguards? I don’t think we should be enforcing gender stereotypes on plastic… they will get so confused personally I think your latitude affects the sound much more than wood. And maybe altitude too. The same bass sounds totally different when played on stage than at ground level. and on Wednesdays, for some reason the mid range tones are always better on days with longer names
  22. That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard all day @neepheid I’ve only ever met one audience member who even thought “the bass sounded good” and I’m not 100% sure her comment would have been different if I’d been playing a jazz bass instead. I doubt “sacrilege” was her abiding principle
  23. Do non bass players care ? I suspect not
  24. Groove is in the heart the bass player’s choice
