I have Just Called Bass Direct to enquire about a bass i may well purchase, i simply asked if the Bass had any marks or Dings etc , as i have found new basses in Guitar Guitar for example Damaged !!! he seemed offended i asked the question and his tone was very brisk and unfriendly, surely it is not such a bad thing to ask if there are any marks on a bass that is hanging up on a shop wall, that i am about to fork out a lot of money for !!! to be honest he put me off buying the bass, he is not doing himself any favours certainly not with me any way, his manner was a bit too head master for me. shame as there are some lovely Basses on the web site.

I have sold and purchased instruments on Bass Chat , it is fantastic and i have had return customers!!! building up my positive feedback, and i have peace of mind too as a buyer never had a problem on here with a sale or purchase, and the feedback is a fantastic thing to have . most of the guys on here take pride in packing instruments properly and giving a precise description of their gear for sale. I would buy your bass from someone on here, i think facebook would be very dodgy. Just my thoughts.

I sold Reef a set of Moog Taurus Bass Pedals a few years back and it was funny watching the bass player trying to play them on the TFI friday the following week. he had no clue, he is a big gangly guy and he had no co ordination.

It was indeed Martin Gordon he is easily contactable on facebook i have chatted with him a few times he had a great Ric tone and he still does his main axe a modern 4003 maple finish.

As a Ric owner myself i have a new 2015 4003 Maple Glo and i have 2004 Montezuma Brown, now both are excellent basses and sound fantastic the 2004 MB has the older type pickups while the 2015 has the hotter new adjustable pole piece pickups, the Monty to my ears has a richer or warmer sound to it being 12 years old , and the 2015 model has a brighter more lively sound to it, it may just be the character of each individual Bass, as they different piece's of wood, and the MB has Bubinga on the fret board, and the MG has a caribbean rosewood fret board. if it was a matter of only one bass i would keep the MB as it has that lived in warm/rich sound which sounds like a classic Ric tone, as the MG ages i am sure it will mellow and sound richer with time.

Only thing i do not like about G4M is they don't offer a next day delivery, but i had a look at their current site and they now do offer next day delivery at a price of course.

Would not use a pc for recording , Mac is the only way to go for serious recording, there are always issues with pc been there done that. no matter the power of the pc/lapotop they just don't hack it for multitrack recording don.t waste your money on a pc is my 20 years recording music advice!!!!
