Had a fantastic day yesterday in the company of Billy Sheehan, have been in contact with billy for a number of years, always had great chats with him etc, he arranged for me to meet up with him yesterday in Glasgow, just can't put in words how cool that experience was, i take part time photos of bands for fun, and billy asked if i would take some shots, Mr Big are a very slick set up!! Pro all the way, i was listening to Billy's onstage sound which is just incredible he has the smoothest low end with just the right amount of grunge on top he is an expert at sound control of a bass guitar , he can manipulate that bass to sound any way he likes it, so happy i got the chance for this experience, great bunch of guys too, i took a pile of photos if anyone fancies a look. cheers Geo Billy Sheehan pics here https://www.flickr.com/photos/139327844@N08/

first thing i did with mine was put a badass II on, took the Geddy Lee bridge off hated it, although it is like a badass II in design the genuine badass sounds better it just does the Geddy bridge is actually heavier than the original, but i prefer the sound of the Badass II. I do think the neck is the strong point on that bass if you could buy that and bolt it to a usa body you would be sorted.

I have used Rics for nearly 40 years now, tried most things i am now using the TC BH550 and Mesa 4x12 vintage cab, superb tone and tons of power reserve, it's all you need !!! if you used an old Marshall bass head , you would not be able to stay in the same room as the cabinet , would make you ill, crazy volume they are for stage only as they need to be driven to get the sound from them. The TC does everything i need.

Superb Rock Band, they did the sugar sweet singles to make a name and money at heart they were a heavy rock band, and they can play, i have some great bootlegs from the 70,s, I was lucky enough to have had a great chat with Brian connolly, i worked as security for big bands during the late 70's up to 2,000's met him in Glasgow one night outside a chinese rest, he was superb character great guy to talk to he told me they did the chin , chapman thing to make themselves shed loads of money!!! which he blew on booze, cars, houses etc, he was killing himself with the booze, and he knew it, he told me the guys just wanted to play heavy rock, but they had to make money, so glad i had the chance to talk to him , only seems like yesterday but he is long gone. He did it all, so he said he could not complain if he died tomorrow.
