1. Hi, I've not tried running Barts in parallel, but some general thoughts: - Barts I've played have been comparatively low-output (needing the preamp for gain), and running them in parallel would decrease output vs series, though not sure how noticeable this would be, post-preamp - to my ears, parallel wiring of humbuckers seems to reduce the amount of bass - you may get a slightly more quacky / glassy sound, vs series - impact of switching series to parallel may bear some resemblance to the tonal change when using StringRay 5 switching... - If you go down the route of wiring in a push/pull switch, I'd tempted to use a single switch to simultaneously affect both pickups (less complexity, unless you really want to be able to blend parallel neck vs series bridge...) Out of ideas otherwise! Roman
2. Hi guys If you saw a fretboard like the one in attachment - would you be concerned? It's supposed to be ebony fretboard with maple lines. It looks like some of the ebony shrank / chipped away around a few of the maple lines? Is that common with lined fingerboards, any idea what caused it? How serious is it? Assuming it's a defect, presumably a fix would involve some sort of ebony dust + glue? thanks in advance for your views! cheers Roman
3. To address a few questions - this is Stage 2 version, with the USB port already installed.
4. I would agree to focus on precisely mentally visualising what you need to play. I find it helpful to analyse the backing track / other instruments to identify exactly which notes everyone else is playing at the time that my part is supposed to be, and using these as a guide-rope, until I've internalised the feel.
5. I must emphasise it's collection only please. Thanks.
6. I have a competitor unit (Alphatrack) and can confirm that these can significantly improve DAW workflow. GLWS
7. withdrawn due to pricing error, sorry - please see new listing
8. A bit of a hidden gem, this! Early 90's, German-made 4 channel tube preamp, using a single 12ax7 tube. Has speaker emulation and can be used to feed an amp as overdrive, plug in into power amp as an "expander preamp", or direct into PA. Sounds great - have been using this to knock up guitar tones for demo tracking. Also effective for warming up / distorting bass tracks and Hammond organ digital sim processing! Comes with a rare manual (though 1 page missing ) Recently serviced and includes original power supply. £85 posted, or collection from Wimbledon / Redhill.
9. Vintage, great-sounding set of active EMG P/J bass pickups. These have come out from a late 80's Warwick.
10. Warwick Thumb NT6 bass, from Warwick's golden days. Hand-made in 1990 in Western Germany. I have owned this for about 3 years, but alas, my needs have changed and this beast has to go! Electrics feature Seymour Duncan Basslines pickups and Warwick 2 band preamp (with active / passive push-pull pot). Schaller strap locks attachments are installed. All hardware is original, as far as I know. Wenge / bubinga woods combination, with wenge fretboard. Great low action, and the truss rod works well. Bronze frets are in decent shape. Restrung with £50 La Bella steel roundwound strings just prior to sale. There are scratches due normal use; please note the lacquer chip next to one of the frets - but this one doesn't affect playability. There is also a surface scratch on top horn, but it doesn't look to have gone through to the wood. I added a photo that's me trying to make it as visible as possible (flash and all) - you can hardly see in the other photos.... It is a 27-year old instrument, after all :-) The actual finish is the rare gloss-black polish(slightly blue tint), but with wood grain still visible underneath. I believe a set of 3 Thumbs were made like this, for a 1990 trade show. Comes with Warwick rockbag. Bass is heavy, but sounds incredible (two sides of the wood choices, I suppose). There's the famous warwick growl on low notes, and piano-like sustain on the high notes. Meet-up in Wimbledon / Central London preferred. I don't want to post this bass and risk it being smashed! I may be able to meet half-way if you are driving down, within reason.... I've included other photos I took of the bass, inside / outside - hopefuly to compensate for my lack of photography skills....
11. Sorry if I missed this earlier in the thread, but are the frets going to extend higher by a few mm, after the neck/body joint? Looks like a fascinating project :-)

17. sounds like the engineer was intending to make use of the amp's power section, with the hope of needing to put less bass through the PA / monitors. maybe it didn't work out in practice ;-)
