Hiya - I love a nice Jazz Bass! What’s the weight of this one please? Also any idea of the fingerboard radius?

Another question, does the B2 have a global eq and volume like the B1four?

My first impressions Re that the stock patches are a lot more usable than previous Zoom pedals I have owned. No wacky patches that scream, I have effects and I have to I use them. Tge oatcged all have song titles that are fairly easy to guess plus a year and those that I know sound fairly true to the original recording.
I like the real foot switches tge paddle ones on the B1 ranges are not ideal for big feet and little stages YMMV. I like the fact that an expression pedal. Can be added but to me the best bit is the connectivity. Real DI out and a Zomm have realised that almost no headphones now come with a 1/4” TRS connector. I addition the headphone out it separate from the mono out.
I have only had a few minutes playing through it and have not yet had a chance to go through the software and apps, To those that scoff the moulded polymer case, they are build like brick outhouses and nut B1 Four has done well I’ve 200 gigs without a hiccup. The faux carbon fibre finish is about the same as that on my car dashboard. That is not too convincing but if you are looking at that you should be playing.
Second this re the paddle switches on the B1 series. On my B1Xon I glued a couple of amplifier feet to the top of the pedals

Exactly this. I bought a beautiful 1990 neck through some years back. The build quality, looks and tone are absolutely to die for but as soon as I stand up, it goes back in the case. Just waiting for the values to rocket now before I sell it on!
Just to clarify, my issues are about the reach to the first fret, not neck dive. Mine’s quite light too. Interesting comments about strap length @Sparky Mark- maybe I should revisit!

IME there are two things. It has to be neck through for the tone.
Secondly, the neck dive and relative reach to the 1st fret is a big playability issue, and the reason why i didn't buy one, even though sitting down it sounded great. As soon as i stood up with it, i knew it wasn't the bass for me.

Thanks Chris but sadly it’s the whole package of gigging, not just the playing. If anything the playing is the part I find the easiest, it’s the carrying the gear (no matter how lightweight) the setting it up with plugging in leads, bending over amps/cabs connecting them up, routing cables for pedalboards along the floor etc.
This is bad news indeed fella. I can’t imagine this forum without your current experience and insight.

I am moving Houses at the moment, so it will now be Leighton Buzzard (LU7 2PB) instead of Tring for collection.
Alternatively, as mentioned earlier, I can post it within the UK using an insured courier.
This would be at the buyer's risk and expense. I have a guitar shipping cardboard box.
That’s way too close for comfort!

I believe they might be a bit brighter sounding than the Elixir, that is unless we are talking Elixir stainless steel strings, which are close to normal uncoated nickel-plated strings in brightness.
However the Ibanez coated strings will also sound and feel like poo and in caparison to Elixirs, and as an added bonus they won't last nearly as long as the Elixirs either before they go dead.
If I had no fret of fret wear I'd personal go Elixir Nanoweb stainless steel strings.
Yes, on the short term they are more expensive, but in the long run you'll end up saving money by buying the Elixirs because of how long they'll last before they go dead and needs changing.
Interested in this. Are your comments down to personal experience with the Ibanez strings@Baloney Balderdash?

I’ve got one of these that has done loads of service with Stray. Mine had been used as a cat scratching post, so I stripped the carpet and painted it with Tuff Cab. Light, loud and nice tone GLWTS

I bought a couple of sets of the value strings recently and got to say I’m pretty stunned at how decent they are especially at the price.

Having recently picked up a second Big Baby Oi and realising that two was just being greedy I replied to Alan’s ‘wanted’ add and sold him my original BBii. This involved a bit of a wait and a road trip for Alan. Comms were really good and the deal was done without fuss. Deal with confidence!

Came today. Initially a bit confusing as very different interface to the B3n. However underneath that is it much the same and once you can navigate the UI quickly it's no issue (couple of hours). A few new sounds to the B3n and the Djent Preamp will be good for me. Overall not a necessary upgrade, but it was reasonably priced and has a lot better connectivity which will give me easier ways to record at home than the B3n. Annoyingly there is an iOS app but not Android (maybe in time), so i'm only using the buttons for now.
I think it looks cool, it's sturdy and totally reminds me of an F-117A.
Check out this comparison !

Stealthy! ThNks for the comments, given your experience I’ll probably not upgrade!

It has an expression pedal input an Zoom do an Expression pedal so it may not come.

This thread has inspired me to get mine out for a while!

That’s really pretty. Might be an idea to mention in your ad that it’s Bubinga as I think these command a premium above the ash models. I’ve got one and it’s a killer bass!

I should have communicated my discovery earlier. I'm so sorry. But you can never have too many PSUs right?
😬
Having said that, it looks like they do them for the 40's and 60's but not the 50's so i couldn't have got one anyway. Bizarre!

I regret not getting the hard case and getting the soft case as it moves the buttons.
The hard cases aren't very strong. My old one has cracked quite badly. Mind you, it was regularly loaded in the back of he band van.

I’m a bit peed off - I had a parcel from Thomann yesterday with a HB board and separate power supply. If I’d realised these things existed, I’d probably have bought one!

Last I heard they’d stopped touring due to health issues. I’ve seen them a few times and they never fail to impress. Norman is just awesome! Great to see they’re back on the road!
