I’ve just chucked a couple of sets of the value nickel rounds into a Thomann order. I’ve used Legacy strings for a while but recently strung a couple with Elixirs that I’m loving. I’ll see how well they last and if they’re as good as they’re supposed to be I might use those on the basses I play most.

Hi Colin, I’m a Colin too so that’s at least two Colins on here! The first tune I learnt to play all the way through was ‘The Zoo’ by Scorpions.

Nice. Well done for evolving into a modest (in terms of numbers) collection. I wish I blooming could!

I bought an Ibanez SR305 from Steve. We were ironically playing the same festival shortly after sale confirmed so did the deal there. Great comms and bass as described. Deal with confidence.

At leat two of everything except cab and fx. A good Jack is to zip tie two mains leads together side by side so if one fails you don’t need to root around for the spare. Each end of ONE mains lead has red insulating tape so I don’t rig up with non connected ends!

Congratulation fella - Make the most of Fatherhood as it absolutely flies by! The Fretboard on that bass is spectacular!

Eden cabs have the lightbulb protection as well. I remember going into Halfords to replace a duff one!

Should be pretty light!

I agree. I’ve used zoom lots and mostly use a B3n live or a B1four for travelling light. Never had an issue with durability. It’s also often mentioned in reviews of Behringer pedals. They may have had some issues but you’d have to be pretty heavy footed to break one of the cases!

That’s a real looker!

So what’s the deal with no tone knob? Is this the same set up as on the HB Mustangalikes?

Welcome! Talking of The Cure was cool to hear ‘A Forest’ used in the soundtrack of Lockwood and Co on Netflix!

I’ve always fancied a Stingray 5 - must be something to do with Tony Levin!
