Looks great but please pop the E string back into the bridge saddle, that extra wide gap is making my OCD hurt. 😅
Glad it’s not just me!

Obviously I recently had this cab completely stripped down to refurbish, so should be all good, but I've checked everything's tight anyway. Always try to check the easy things first 😅
check that there’s actually sufficient clearance between the driver and the grill. If there’s a slight deformation on the grill, it might be touching. Try the speaker with the grille detached!- 1

Are you sure it’s not a mechanical noise - from the grille? I refurbed an old Trace cab and I got exactly that, just had to manipulate the grille a little.

I had lots of class d’s before going back to heavy amps. The one I kept much longer than any of the others was the GK MB Fusion. They are super little amps. Mine was the 500, not sure if the 800 is any different tonally.
I take an MB 500 (non Fusion) with me to gigs as a backup but tbh I often use it instead of my main amp. When we supported British Lion, I noticed Steve Harris had a pair of MB 800’s in his rack as backup amps.

I bought a Yamaha fiver from Mick today. We arranged a halfway meet up in Dunstable. Mick got there half an our early and me five late - darned traffic! Anyway we had a nice chat, he gave me a nice bass and I gave him many coffee tokens. All comms were good and everything fine so deal with this fella with confidence!

Heathen!
Gotta say, the synths and filters aren’t a patch on the zoom but the parallel processing is nice for the distortions!

I emailed them and asked this question. They said there are no plans at all to make a B2X Four. Fortunately, I've already got an FP02 I use with my old B2 I'm going to replace witha B2 Four soon.
I've just gone over to the dark side and bought an HX Stomp FX

Was it just the sound, or was it something else that made it a PoC?
I've tried the "Vintage" circuit on my 4003 a few times, and it really does the the "guts" out of the sound. Pop it back to the standard circuit, and there's loads of "body" in there.
That vintage switch is pretty useful when you're using both pickups.

I’ve had two BBG5s. Loved em both and regret selling. Would pick one up for sure if one popped up!

I’ve just bought a HX Stomp XL from Ian. It’s as described, coms were perfect and it was well packaged. Deal with confidence!

That looks lovely mate. That Okume (spelling?) body looks like a lighter version of Mahogany!

Just played the Black Frog in Chelmsford last weekend and Nick (the promoter) was talking about JV and Del having played there (recently I assume), so presumably with you.
yeah that’s right - I was there!

Anyone know what the string to string distance is on the fivers?

Can I ask what the app was, please @King Tut
So I think different desks have different apps. His was an Allen and Heath desk and the app was SQ4You. Our drummer says he’s got about seven apps on his phone for various desks!

We did Backstage at The Green in Kinross a few weeks ago (both the the Friday and the Saturday). It turned out to be really good weekend.
I played at the The Boot and Shoe in Greystoke a few years ago. A tiny pub, but quite good fun in the end (and a great Sunday lunch after the gig)!
We’ve literally just left Greystoke on the road to Kinross. We decided to break the journey there and have our meal and breakfast rather than post gig tomorrow - was lovely. Had a look at the band area and it’s going to be very intimate! Who did you play at Greens with?

Nice - just restrung and set mine up - did my first ever gig with one of these!

Played in Ramsgate last night with Verity Bromham. Had Kev Hickman depping on drums who did a marvellous job. I tried an XVive in ear unit that John lent me along with my rig. The engineer pointed me to an app to put on my phone and I set up my own monitor mix - bloody amazing. Journey home was a nightmare due to road closures, road out of Ramsgate was shut as was the M25, A1 and M1. Bolleaux! Got halfway home and realised I’d left my house and car keys at the venue. So I had to leave my car at Johns, get Del to go right out of his way to drive me home then wake the misses up at 3am to get in! Why the funk do I do this?!! Was a cracking gig though!

I’ve got three gigs coming up with The Verity Bromham band. On Thursday we’ll be at The Red Arrows Club in Ramsgate. Saturday we’re at Backstage at The Green in Kinross, then on the way back on Sunday we’ll be stopping off at Penrith for a 4 pm gig at The Boot and Shoe, Greystoke.

How was your gig last night?

Back to the pubs for me last night with a dep gig with my old band Isabelle at The Brave Old Oak in Towcester.
Drummer really struggles with loud bass players, so I took in ears to supplement my rig so I could be fairly quiet on stage. Next step with this band will be to go amplesss for me.
Anyway, I remembered all the stuff, decent crowd and went down well, home by 0045. Happy Daze!
