  3. Makes sense if it's a weird formatting that the site maybe doesn't really know how to handle.
  4. And here's one that isn't affected,
  5. Just quickly scanning the marketplace and found this on a couple (but not all) sale threads, black text on the darker background, but it seems random as not all ads of the handful I've looked at have the problem. The image below is from here -
  6. That was me . @barrycreed Yes, the jazz pickup is a standard jazz bridge pickup size. I've swapped out 2 or 3 different sets of pickups on my Talman before settling on the Enwistle neo's. Never had any problems with fitting anything into the existing routes either although as Maude says, if you go for a set of Entwistle neos yourself, the pole pieces protrude a few mm from the underside of the pickups but as the cavities in the Talman are pretty deep there was no need for any additional surgery to the bass, just drop the pickups in and then balance their heights using the screws, there was no need for any foam or springs with these particular pickups in my case.
  7. Our house - Madness

  9. Just received a pair of shiny knobs from Andy and has already been said many times over he's a great guy to deal with, no bother and they were quickly delivered. He also has unnaturally large handwriting. In case you were wondering.

  15. If I could go back in time to the mid 80's and give myself some advice when I first started playing that would be invaluable as a bass player, it would include but not necessarily be limited to; Pick up a short scale and stick with it. You're a short arse and 34" scale basses are way to big and cumbersome so don't waste the next 25-30 years fannying about with them. A 30" P or PJ is all you'll ever need. Do not - under any circumstances - buy that Trace Elliot SMX rig in the early 90's. Just don't. It's a gutless, one trick pony that will do your head in for years to come. Stick with the Marshall Jubilee rig instead. Or a Peavey of some sort. Learn some theory sooner rather than later. A little goes a long way. Don't play with loads of crap drummers, your timing is bad enough without those idiots hindering you. Learn more covers even if you don't like them. It will push your playing more than doing your own thing ever will. Don't gig on opium. Ever. I repeat, DO NOT buy that f@cking Trace rig no matter how cool it looks.

  20. Cannibal song - Ministry Which coincidentally I've just posted on the Post punk & Alt rock thread. Great tune!
  21. Just rediscovered this blast from the past. Sit back, pop your class A of choice and get lost in its hypnotic groove.
  22. Under pressure - Queen & Bowie
  23. Mothers eyes - Power of Dreams
  24. I think you're right in that it's not possible! The easiest way around it would be to use an external footswitch for the tuner. Even if you only need a total of 4 footswitches you could always use a single external switch with a standard mono cable, you'd just need to figure out if it would default to footswitch 4 or 5 in the global settings but that should only take a minute. It ought to work as in the past I've not pushed my TRS cable in fully and only had my twin footswitch working on one channel. Lots of swearing and reboots later I managed to figure it out
  25. Cross eyed Mary - Jethro Tull
