1. Stuff it...I'll give it to the weekend and then order. I don't mind waiting if they've all gone.
2. If you want a fast, thin neck, have you thought about one of the modern Ibanez basses? They are extremely well priced, high spec, and well manufactured from what I've heard. I wouldn't personally bother with a fanned fret 4 string...5 sting maybe....(again see Ibanez).
3. Wow, quick!
4. Hahah, sorry, I was being mischievous! I haven't got it on order yet. Photos and review would be ace!
5. Picking mine up tomorrow!
6. I might be missing something here, but I thought the whole idea of these cabs was to cover a lot of ground that normally a 2x12 or 4x10 would cover? I have learnt to respect all opinions on these cabinets, and I was at one point very tempted by a BB2, but I already have enough gear. However, this is the literature (and I presume honest 'marketing' if we are to be fair to other manufacturers) on the BF site. So, in essence, adding another Super Compact makes it equivalent to a 4x12 or 8x10? (I assume not a high end version of one of those). If you are putting a well regarded amp into an expensive cab that is equivalent to a 2x12 or 4x10, and running out of steam...something isn't right even at 8 ohms. Either with gain/EQ or possibly the amp itself. You will also be damaging your hearing significantly if the band is competing at those volumes. I used to rehearse with a touring hardcore band and we played stupid volumes. I would constantly tell them it isn't needed, but it was all about cranking those big 4x12s. I never ran out of steam with similar amps....through standard 8 ohm 4x10s from the practice room. To confirm, I don't think shelling out for another expensive cab is a good option. It makes no sense as that cab is to cover a much larger cabs role. If that is the case, I would ask BF for another option, as that isn't covering what you need. Are you within the trial period?
7. 64 American Vintage pickups. A fine set!
8. To confirm, yep, the spec referred to above does say it is nitro. I don't usually get that excited over another P or J, but the colour, fact it comes with what I'd spec (rosewood/tort), the fact it's modelled after a bass and not just dinged for the fun of it, the pickups, and those stacked knobs....all for under £900??! The normal roadworns are more expensive?! None of this makes sense. I have a feeling this will be a good seller. I also think I may break down and buy a bass after a few years off.
9. Something isn't right...! The MB amps at 8 ohms kick pretty well...I've used just one TC RS210 and still had a lot of volume to play with...
10. Yes, it is from what I can tell, nitro.
11. That is serious money for a pedal...and I'm all for buying expensive gear..!
12. I'm awaiting a pre-order listing to come up so I can get one on order asap. I don't tend to buy any kind of guitars, basses or amps and cabs now, I just get nice pedals every now and then!
13. There aren't many options out there for a stacked knob Jazz bass like that, especially in that light pink nitro (looks basically off white)...I think the fact it is under £900 means it will sell very well. You can't get a spec like that normally from Fender without a lot more £. As with the Nate Mendal bass, it is MEANT to look relic'd. It is a modern reproduction of that artist's bass. I like it.
14. That's lovely!!! £882 is reasonable.
15. Get an order in quickkk!
16. Oh - I'm going to have to try them asap, thanks! Yeah I'm keen on that tuner. I stupidly didn't understand Boss pedals when I was younger, but they really do make some amazing gear at fair prices. It is also my favourite type of stompbox enclosure.
17. Some very opposing recollections on here. I think if I got asked why I wanted a 4 as well as a 5 string, well, I'd say it was my choice. IME there is a difference in the E tone on a 4 and 5 string, and a HUGE feel difference.
18. They should offer a rosewood board version...a 60's Burst/Rosewood/Tort....but I have heard VERY good things about these basses. Shame the retail has gone from a 'kinda acceptable but expensive' £900 is to what it is now...
19. I bet these are superb, but I feel they may struggle in the UK market with the current pricing. That is a huge shame. If these were priced just a little more than a USA Standard P or J, I think things might be different.
20. I have the SD-1W, BD-2W, DM-2W and VB-2W. I went a bit Boss mad recently. I've not tried ONE with bass yet!
21. Sounds great! I still like the TC RH amps, despite what everyone moans about. I do not need huge low end, ever! It sounds awful on stage.

Boss CE-2W

Whilst this is maybe more for the guitarists, I will be buying one to use on guitar and bass. http://www.bossus.com/products/ce-2w/ Demos sound fab! Great work Boss, plus Made in Japan. I have four of their other Waza pedals, and they are extremely good. The DM-2W!!!!
23. Marr is still one of my favourite guitar players. No fuss, no mad solos, just very unique and melodic.
24. They are just as versatile as a Precision bass, if not more so. A HH or HS will cover more ground than a Jazz....IMO.
25. Is that a discontinued colour? If so, you may have to go used. Sorry
